I will be performing Pink Floyd\'s "The Piper Gates at Dawn" that night. hope you all can make it. peace

I wonder if it\'s the US or UK version.  They are very different albums.  I\'m guessing UK b/c Tim plays Bike which is only on the UK.

If you are in the area on Tuesday and Tim is not enough to get you out, I will be out and about dancing for quarters in the Shady Alley at Jake\'s.

I don\'t think Halloween and Valentine\'s Day are National Holidays.  National Holiday\'s are: New Year\'s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President\'s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran\'s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

those are federal holidays.

federal holidays are the days federal employees have off. national holidays are holidays our nation celebrates.

But your post referenced national holidays not federal holidays?

if halloween and valentines day can be national holidays then i don\'t see why st patricks day shouldnt be one too.

That being said there are important days (holidays) including: Groundhog Day, Valentine\'s Day, Washington\'s Birthday, Ash Wednesday, St. Patrick\'s Day, April Fool\'s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Earth Day, Administrative Professional Day, Cinco de Mayo, Mother\'s Day, Armed Forces Day, Flag Day, Father\'s Day, Parent\'s Day, Patriot Day, Boss\'s Day, Halloween, Election Day, Chanukah, Christmas Eve, Kwanzaa and New Year\'s Eve.

That being said, I don\'t think that St. Patrick\'s Day should be a national holiday, but it should be a day for celebrating the man who drove the english, sorry, I mean the snakes out of Ireland...

A couple points...

1. Tim should not play Danny Boy (I love the song, but it\'s basically been banned on St. Patrick\'s Day because it was written by an Englishman that had never been to Ireland).

2. Be proud of your green, leave your orange at home.

3. I can\'t be there, but a request to Tim: can you play "Back Home In Derry".  The chords can be found at the link (http://www.traditionalmusic.co.uk/irish-folk-music/irish%20songs/Back%20Home%20In%20Derry.htm).

when I was in southington I lived right next to a plaza with a mexican bar in it, and when I\'d leave for work at 3:30am on may 6th the lot would still be full of drunken idiots. But I\'ve never liked a fire-code packed house, so I tend to just stay home on such holidays.

st. patrick days = 3rd worst day of the year to go to a bar behind cinco demayo and the wednesday before thanksgiving.
...more commonly known as "the day before Thanksgiving". I\'m not sure why that bugged me so much, though I was proof reading all day, so I guess that part of my brain is just running on all cylinders right now. I kid because I love. Anyway...

I don\'t disagree with your statement, but I think that Thanksgiving Eve is in a class by itself. If you live in a town like Wallingford, where there are basically three bars downtown that cater to the under-35 crowd, Cinco de Mayo and St. Patrick\'s Day (when they fall on weekdays as they do this year) aren\'t that much busier than the average Saturday night.

I would like to take the time to ****, **** and moan about MY location (Towson, Maryland) during this show that is taking place about five minutes from house. Last St. Patrick\'s Day was a crazy show (though lightly attended due to a last-minute time change from Happy Hour to 8 p.m.).
