Waiting till the last minute, per usual, I am looking for a ride from the Cheshire/Wallingford/ Oakdale (whatever car they are calling it now ) area! PM or call me if you can help me out. It will obviously be much appreciated.

This venue is **** fantastic. A (Really) elevated stage with fantastic lighting and sound. You can stand/ dance from two sides on the stage. A creeped out, large hallway of sorts with a long bar on the side, an additional side room with pool tables, an additional room with another bar. And yet another room with no real purpose and a smoking patio taboot. I found the security to be rather lax as I often bring in cans of Redbull in my purse.

I\'m pretty sure that in a statement made earlier, I said that I would leave that alone.  That being said, Adrian solidified that Ahoy! is/was it\'s own song in another post.  That\'s all the re-assuring that I needed and I don\'t need to constantly drill that point home when one of the band agreed with me...

FYI and IMHO...

The arrangement and chord changes in TPIR theme song is extraordinarily challenging - much much much harder than free-form improvisations.  I would bet big $ that the tune is a fun exercise for the band for precisely that reason.  Let the guys have some fun....

Hey, Einsteins, my set list post was a joke. That is nothing more than Sully\'s and The Field\'s set lists combined into one because people bitched about them playing the same songs as the last CT show.

IMO, if they TPIR while I am in attendance, I will walk out of the show and never return. If I wanted to hear a shitty games show theme song I would watch the gameshow network. I might be alone but to waste time and their ability on something so **** stupid is wrong.

I\'d take a kick in the balls and Vera Street before I would ever want to hear TPIR.

Also, am I the only person who wants to see the Breakfast play their originals or what? I mean covers are good when played rarely and placed properly in the show. If you want covers, go see Mean Carlene or Derick and The Fun Bags, give me some **** originals.

Honestly, I didn\'t pick up on the setlist thing, but the covers that I chose would never be touched by those cover bands you mentioned.  The three covers that I put in my set would take up all of 8 minutes total.

- The Price Is Right theme was played over 15 times from 03-08 as a set opener, closer or encore
- How can you rip Maggie M\'Gill? Played what, one time?
- Adagio, are you seriously going to rip this as a select?  When they busted this out at FF2 everyone went apeshit.

All of this trashing of cover selection is quite a change from the guy who once said that he\'s calls for the Safety Dance at every show he goes to...

You enjoy what you enjoy and I do the same.

Those 15 times made me puke.
Played one time too many.
Everyone is jumping off a bridge, go join them.

I also hope to hear Hey, Hey, What can I do? at every TT show I attend.

Yodas setlist reminds me of this dream I once had where they played the sickest setlist imagineable.

Hey, The Breakfast, you guys should bust out that setlist. And say "yoda and tuna are the fuckin coolest dudes, you can thank them for this sick ass show. In essence we are handing full credit for all your enjoyment this evening to Yoda and Tuna. Even though Yoda came up with the setlist we just really like Tuna"

At which point everyone cheers and I come to the realization that this is one of life\'s few and cherished peak experiences.

Allright, so, see you Saturday :D

I knew your setlist was a joke brah, just not that funny/worth commenting on. You know your joke is a failure when you feel like you gotta explain it. As for your problem w/ TPIR, **** lasts 3 minutes tops. Go smoke a butt (or a Deemz) outside or something. Plus its not like that **** gets played that much. My setlist has some ser origionals and my choices for covers are impecably placed and good choices so E A D.

If you want covers, go see Mean Carlene or Derick and The Fun Bags, give me some **** originals.

i will probably FALL OVER if we get a Mooboo\'s tomorrow... if it\'s well placed of course.... i always want to hear wake up in a coma, maybe split up or inverted somehow.... tie that in with a tribal funk affliction and its time for a dance party at the warehouse!

i\'m really hoping for a high-energy show, with a vivacious crowd and focused band.... i want my ears to be ringing by the end of this show!!!

PO Freakin\' ZEST, wrapped in a honey buttered bun, slathered with garcian fishbowls, with a side of what the grand scheme\'s all about... and to drink... LDZ sprinkled with mayflies.  Great... now I\'m hungry...

...and Willy the pimp...

If they had any balls they would play

I: jam > Cut Me Some Slack, jam > Tunage, Synergy, Sundance > Peace Frog > Honey Butter

II: jam > May Fly Disarray, Episode 3 (Awakening), Space City Affair > jam > Metropolis, Gladys Pimp And Kangaroos With Me

E: Taboo Or Not Taboot,  Doughboy, jam > Sleeping Beauty

now add score and you\'re onto something tasty

I personally would go with the following:

I: The Price Is Right Theme, May Fly Dissaray > Frankly Po Zest, TLATG > OE, Maggie M\'Gill, Food For Thought*, Spunk > Hard Luck Harry

II: TGSOT > EE Part 1 > Episode 1 (Happy) > EE Part 2 > Mooboo\'s Voodoo (Episode 2) > EE Part 3 > Episode 3 (Awakening) > EE Part 4 > TGSOT > May Fly Dissaray**

Encore: WUIAC > Adaggio > WUIAC > Superfly Phatty Fat# > Drunk Monk Bar##

* Why don\'t we ever play Adaggio anymore
** Ending only
# With beatbox intro

That was what I was thinking about when I was typing...one of my favorite "attended" Phish shows cause it\'s the same date. But yeah, \'07...Rons last show. And as much as I loved UMASS circa \'94-\'95 I will never be a TRUE MassHole;)

...oh wait, I thought...never mind.

That is awesome, Chris. Its great to hear this kind of stuff. It is amazing that Carly was able to pick up a bass and play it with only a few months of practice.

I\'m excited to check out the venue.

Hopefully people will come out for this show. A solid turnout first time through is positive.

What is he price of drinks here? Consistent with other venues or are we gonna be ****.

and Carly Kalafus...(only kidding - she\'s only been playing a few months but is kicking ass) Caitlin and Carly are playing this show with Kicking Daisies. If you haven\'t heard, they are being produced by Two time GRAMMY winner Mike Mangini (not the drummer of the same name).  Mike has worked with everyone from American Idol people and Dion Warwick to Joss Stone, Smashmouth and the great David Byrne.  Oh and a little group called the Jonas Brothers.

Last weekend they sold out FTC (300+) and the show and entire weekend was filmed for soon to be released reality show pilot.  They\'ve been to NYC recording at Mojo Studio numerous times and have 6 tracks done.  Their CD should be out by summer.

The plan is to show kids (and adults) that young bands can do more then make genric over produced crap.  These kids rock and play for real.

Anyways....it\'s an awesome opportunity for them to open for The Breakfast.  Thank you TIM for setting it up.  Not only will be it awesome for them to play for real music fans but then they get to hang around and hear the masters play.  Win/Win!!

If interested: http://www.myspace.com/kickingdaisies  There\'s two tracks and a video

can\'t wait to see The Breakfast again...it\'s been a while.

Peace, Chris

that had a really sick light show for The New Deal last fall; im not sure if there was a house lighting guy or not but it was pretty impressive.

this venue totally reminds of a haunted house, in a cool way. i really hope this place is packed, the main stage is in a pretty large room so i dont want it to be like the Indo-dooze was.....

Thank you Elisa for your insight on this venue.:)

Awesome, Back in Hartford and not at Sully\'s or Webster. It\'s always special when the boys play a new venue.

How are the lights at the warehouse? Do they have a house light person?  The Tammany,The Field, and Sully\'s were less than inspiring in the lighting department.  We need some of those things that spin and spit out light everywhere!
