Completely forgot about this... unfortunately I still have two more weeks of being Old Man Kingsley and going to bed at 9 p.m. when I actually have a night off. See you all in May.

Hope the rest of their material is better than the cheesy radio hits geared towards a middle school audience.

Which one of you artistic folks has a flier for me?

I\'ll definitely be at this show :chin: any upcoming Bfast shows we can promote?  Any good ideas for a CD song sampler? I\'ll print & record, if anyone has a flier and/or CD sampler to send to me!

wildcoyote, is it sold out/ any chance of selling out?

This might be a hot one. I\'ll check the numbers on this tonight.  Shoot a PM (which hits my email) if I forget to post my findings.

Yup thats the place.    Cover is only $1 if you have a yale grad student by your side.  and honestly, the drinks are cheap in there.     everyone begins a convo with, "What school are you in?"   Meaning law or drama or whatever.    Its fun to toy with them.

/\\/\\/\\ 90% of them have no idea Toad\'s has bands play there.

You\'ll see more grad students (who blend in easier) than undergrad.

Yeah?

My favorite is when I get a kid who is in there for dance parties every week come up to me and say \'when did you guys start getting bands here?\'  or asks in disbelief
\'{crappy one hit wonder} is coming here?!?!\'
I respond
\'the Rolling Stones have played here\'
followed by a blank non understanding stare from said college student, and I feel 180 years old.

Oh i believe it.  Yalies aren\'t known for their musical prowess.

I forgot about those cheesy dance parties. I actually got dragged there once.  I didn\'t last there very long. I\'ve had dental procedures that were more exciting.   One of my close friends was at Yale Grad for her doctorate.  Grads tend to hang out a lot at their own  bar GPSCY (have no idea what it stands for but its secretly located in an alley way on york...)    You know when you found it, cause its a big nerd alert.

^ remembers thinking it was bad ass to use the abbreviation "Pot USA" for this band.

Hopefully the Yalies (whom I\'m not supposed to socialize with in a "bar setting") won\'t be too interested in Toad\'s on this particular night.

I don\'t know much about it, but it looks like an Epiphone knockoff of a Gibson SG (6 string) guitar, strung with 2 bass strings.  Looks like he removed the humbucker toggle switch.  A lot of rock/ punk bass players rarely use much more then the top 2 strings anyway.  Pretty badass regardless.

Kitty on my foot and I wanna touch it.

somewhat custom made. All he did was remove 2 strings and the tuning pegs for them. Otherwise it\'s a standard sg bass. Looks like an epiphone over a gibson.

nice pics PR! i dig the red yellow and blue theme of their outfits. keepin it primary !

isn\'t that a custom 2-string bass or something of the sort that he made just for the band? looks pretty cool... i\'d really be interested in seeing how only 3 guys armed with instruments with less strings that normal can make a full sound....

I only really know the first album, but it is one of my favorites.  Thursday night in New Haven?  I will most likely be there.
