Wow, I forgot all about Teddy\'s site. For a while it was the band\'s official site. It doesn\'t seem to be there when I hit the link though.

Lauren went back to Wings tonight for more.
I wonder if Teddy T\'s website is still up and running or if it still has the same tour dates listed from 2.5 years ago.
How many original songs is the band up to now?
Was Simpleton a Mokijam song and the Son Of Simp. a PB song?
The Breakfast - Shut up and Eat!!!!
-
yup.. a long time ago, the guys were listening to it over here, and weren\'t happy with the recording, so nothing came of it..
-
Interesting.......

Gee, my comment was actually about the CD cover, but now I feel like it\'s off-topic. In fact, when I finally got to the end of this thread, I had completely forgotten what the thread was about! Here is my incredibly off-topic, envigorating, and engaging comment:
Sonance did a pro recording and video of the 7/28/02 show at Quixote\'s in Denver. This would explain the "High in the Rockies" album cover. There is probably little chance that it would get released at this point, but that\'s probably why such a cover was designed.

al,some people around here are a little too sensitive to break thier balls you know??like the get a room dude.was he ser?send a pm or email or letter or phonecall.jeez, like everyones tryin to read about this cat reminicing with peck.its old news.get over it.get a room!freddie"the dick"ferrara

Believe it or not, I\'m ready for more wings and nachos.
I\'m glad i got to see everyone after disappearing for a while.
thanks for the disks Dave!
-
I thought Freddie\'s suggestion to "Get a room" was pretty funny.
Go ruffle some more feathers for me Ferrara!
I hope all you CT people had fun driving home.
-
yea, 35 is my estimate for it. I was able to do southington->mass border last year in 7 hrs, and then 9hr rerturn, so add to that your house to mine (2/3hr), and its only about 40 miles further up to 6 flags once you hit mass border (2hr). It would obviously have to be a 2-day ride. In theory it is ridable. You could def make it up there in one days light, get a room, and back the next. Given that you got rest, it could probably be done in 24, 2 12 hour rides. I came up with 35 because if I average 20 mph my first hour, I\'ll be lucky if I average 17mph on my 8hour of riding and it gets slower from there on out. I\'ve never exceeded a 12 hour non-stop ride continuously.
While the majority of the linear trails in ct arn\'t complete, it isnt that hard to get from one to another. You usually only have to go 20/30 miles of regular route riding before the next trail starts up. They have one already (partly built up here in southington, and its only about 10 miles north of where the hamden->chesire one ends. Just gotta keep connecting them and heading north.

sweet! can\'t wait! thanks mel!

 good stuff.. i got a feeling that thread wouldn\'t be too popular though.. just a hunch..
also add to the list of daves accomplishments that he would go on LONG ASS bike rides in the summer (4+hours ones) with me on occasion. BTW, I figured out a ride to do daves house to six flags NE, but it adds up to about 35 hours round trip. Better get going on those spinning classes if your gonna make it this summer peck...

35 hours?!? :jawdrop: you\'re shot.
:point: (no offence to anyone except dave by this, and maybe freddie)

Clearly you don\'t know The Wah. It\'s not that he means any harm, he just has no moral barometer.

I would just like to let you guys kno (especially Dave himself) that this guy is a hard worker and a great guy all in one. i worked at Shaws in Clinton, CT for a brief period in my high school days. Well I met Dave when he was working the Courtesy Desk. He was just a great guy, and I used to ask myself as well how Dave managed to balance all the things he did. He used work full time and tape all the Phish shows he could (without you Dave my Phish collection might not have gotten off the ground as well as it did, since there wasn\'t too many readily accesible websites to download live music) Dave would always tolerate me bothering him about bringing the discs in or did he finish the discs yet, and he was always so nice about, even though he was balancing tem different tasks at once.
I remember the day dave got that green explorer sport, he took me out and showed it too me in the parking lot at work, he was psyched. It really made me excited to see him so happy for something that he had worked so hard for. Well I lost touch with Dave for a long time when I went away to college, I would see him here and there but not as much as i would have liked to. Then I started getting into PB, and I got hooked (like many others) and I didn\'t realize that he knew the Band so well. It was actually coincidental beacause at KSC in New Hampshire I met Jaccqueline Greenberg who was all about PB and had them hang out at her house in NH before I really appreciated them for what they were. Well then it all came together for me that Dave lived in the area they all grew up in and he was good buds with them. Well then one year I saw dave runnin the board at the Toads Place show (and it was so good to see him) and we chatted, but I never told him how it fathomed me that he could find time for so many activities.
Well Dave I hope to see you soon and possibly return the favor of all the discs you have ever burned for me ad really getting me into this great live music scene that we are so privileged to have. Oh ya and he is succesfully running the pbfans site now (which I must say props to you it is really really succesful) well now that I am rambling on about my life story about how I know and appreciate Dave. Dave if you read this maybe drop me an email sometime vdlupone@yahoo.com I am living in Fort Collins, CO right no and loving it. You need to get the boys to do some more CO shows, because I love hyping up the boys from CT (represent) Well aagain Dave thanks for everything over the years I hope you know how much it means to me and i hope to hear from you soon. By the way If you ever see Dave at a show drop him some props for much of the behind the scenes work of PB.

Obviously my personal opinion, but that is one hott cd cover!

after readin that im absolutely ready for suicide...im shootin for an od.my life is depressing and it really blows too!!

thanks joe.. i\'m very glad/relieved that everything worked out with this job.. the market is just as bad as it was when i graduated (at least in IT).. i continued to send out resumes the entire time i was contracting, and came up empty. i consider myself very lucky to be where i\'m at, as that gets to be really discouraging..
-
Dave, you must be the happiest man alive........... God Bless
-
al, i\'d tell you, but then i\'d have to kill you.
:D
just kidding. anyways, i like a lot of stuff, a lot. i\'ve always been one to try to do everything, rather than sacrifice one thing for another. i prioritize, but i don\'t sacrifice...
i work in front of a computer all day, so during downtime, breaks, etc, i check in on the forum, among other things. the overtime thing is over for now. i was working as a consultant at Hyperion Solutions (one of Fortune\'s 100 Best Companies To Work For) for over 15 months, until i was finally hired as a permanent employee earlier this month (yay!)... i did the shaw\'s thing for a while during consulting (until Feb \'03), mainly because i was attached, but it got to be too much. i decided i wanted my weekends, so i left on great terms.. i worked with a lot of great people there, so it was hard to leave at first, but it was for the better...
as far as taping goes, i\'m not the crazy guy you once knew... matt\'s gone ballistic and runs 168 channel multi-tracks at all the local shows, and chris is following in his footsteps.. they\'ve got most of the local stuff covered, and i pretty much record anything they can\'t make it to, that i can. i just don\'t have the time for it like i did in \'01-\'02... i still find time to archive, seed, and hook people up with discs though. expect a nice stack from me tomorrow night.
you can still find me at the gym daily.. the new job is nice because i can pretty much make my own hours, plus i get to work from home on fridays... so i work 6-2 every day, go home and rest a bit, hit the gym around 4:30, and i\'m home by 6 for the night.. working from home also allows me to go out the night before, since i can just roll out of bed and start working..
as far as affording stuff while in college, that is 150% thanks to Lisa for supporting me and my habits the whole time. Lisa is 2 years older than me, and got a job as a nurse before she was even done with college, so... oh, and i\'ve also been going to the gym for free for the past year, due to my runner-up victory in Manhattan Fitness Survivor in August \'02... (i can go into more detail over dinner).. also, you can ask anyone who knows me - i don\'t pay full price for anything. i\'m a big time bargain shopper, and always wait for and find the best deals.. guess that\'s something else i do in my spare time. :)
after all this, Lisa and i are finally house hunting... we\'re seriously grown out of our condo - there\'s just no room for anything... so we\'re looking.. gonna stay in the area, even though i work about 45 miles from home, it\'s not bad with the hours... another great thing is because of the market, we\'re looking to make about $50k-$60k when we sell our condo, which will definitely help with the house...
so.. that\'s my life story. :) to be continued..
-
Off topic post but I\'ve always wanted to ask:
Dave Peck, how do you manage so many activities in your life? I\'ve always been impressed with your ability to post messages promptly thoughout the day, work full time (i remember you doing some major overtime for a while too), work at Shaw\'s (doubt you\'re still there but you were there for a long time), work on the taping and archiving stuff, go to shows hundreds of miles away, and go to the gym.
I was also impressed by your ability to afford so much stuff while you were in college: apartment, new car, major gas bills to get to shows, gym membership, expensive equipment, hundreds of dvd\'s etc.
Not that I go into deep thought about you on a regular basis but I have often wondered how you do it.
-
al - jut\'s doing just fine.. he did 1 & deuce.. i\'m trying to talk him into coming up with us tomorrow.. we\'re goin out tonight - i\'ll tell him you were asking for him..
-
speaking of album covers, how is Justin Maturo doing and is he still going to the shows?
Did you guys like Justin\'s old artwork better than the newer stuff?
did he create the covers for Deuce or just Disk 1?
-
The first album cover is far-and-away my favorite. The bootleg CD with my tube-induced facial contortions is funny, but considerably beyond the boundary of stupid. There was no point. It was just an idea. A stupid idea. Actually, a whim, really. A stupid stupid whim.

not saying i\'m in love with the deuce cover, but i don\'t think it\'s horrible. i\'d say it\'s better than the BF cover as well..
all in all, i wouldn\'t say i love any of pb\'s 3 album covers... now the pitchie faces on the other hand.... :D
-
peck, can you actually tell me honestly that you dig the cover to deuce?i remember when the artist came up with the idea and i thought it was supercheesy then.now that i look at its even more horrible.the tunes speak for themselves, but the cover blows.i enjoy the pic of them takin a crap on the inside better than the actual cover.
-
i wholeheartedly disagree, freddie... although the deuce album cover very much resembles Boyz II Men\'s second album, II, at least some effort went into it.. granted the image Drew posted is pretty low-res, but it just looks like someone did it in MS Paint...
oh, and is it me, or does it look a lot like this:

20 times better than the deuce cover....but what an album..
-
If they\'re gonna change their name shouldn\'t the new cd say "The Breakfast"? And if they print another run of their old cd\'s will they change the name on those?
-
High In The Rockies??
:hscratch:
-
Sorry to reply so fast, but Wah would get pissed if I edited the above post...
In case you can\'t read it, the title of the album is "High in the Rockies".
Viva la revolution! Don\'t edit posts!

I was browsing through the PB website this morning, and I saw that the "Introducing The Breakfast" tour poster had this (http://www.jduballstars.com) link to the designer\'s website at the bottom. Within the "designs" section of their website is the attatched image, dubbed a "CD Cover". Is this the cover to the next PB album?
