I have kens video tapes and I am in the process of uploading to youtube. I just though that if you had a soundboard, I could make a post matrix. Kens audio sounds good thought.
Also, what was the name of the sax player that sat in during the 2nd set?
-
just got a cd w/ the audio from john, a friend of the bassist. he doesn\'t put his recordings online, but doesn\'t mind if we do.
so...um... what do i do now to make that happen?
pm dave peck aka the genius....he\'ll help you out
is this a soundboard recording?
no, but it sounds pretty good. i\'ll bring it to daniel street this wkend.

...there was a lot of talent on stage. that was clear within about thirty seconds. some pretty wild moments, some really crazy grooves, for lack of a better term, made for a brief but good time. i know that it was all about spontanaety, i mean that was kinda the point, but what i saw, don\'t **** on me, did get touch repetative at times, it was ok, i still really liked it. it would be nice to see this line-up, though highly doubtful, once again, maybe toss in a cover or two, christ knows between \'em all they\'d know a **** load that they could jump into at anytime. no actual complaints by me. good to see you all.
agree with all of this. were you around long enough to see adrian play? by far the best part of the show
oh yeah and thanks tapers (ken and john(?))
-
ken - thank you so much for taping this.
-
Absolutley one for the ages!! Did not recognize one note of anything. Amazing!!
-
ken -- you\'re the man! can\'t wait to watch that video! just got a text from the dude who did audio. i don\'t think he knows how to get it to archive, but i\'m gonna call him in a bit to see how we can listen to the show.
-
We have a fine video of the event!
I\'ve been through the show a few times over!
Music magic at it\'s best!
-
...total improv with what seemed to be a subtle signal or feel to abrublty end the jams. it was good. great to see fuzz again, he\'s always gonna be one of my favorite guitar players, so after seeing how well he and tim fed off of each other that time in danbury, i was really looking forward to this. i love jazz, at times more than any other style of music, but "free jazz" or whatever you wanna call it doesn\'t always do it for me. this did for the most part. though, we didn\'t stay for it all, **** work, what i saw was good. there was a lot of talent on stage. that was clear within about thirty seconds. some pretty wild moments, some really crazy grooves, for lack of a better term, made for a brief but good time. i know that it was all about spontanaety, i mean that was kinda the point, but what i saw, don\'t **** on me, did get touch repetative at times, it was ok, i still really liked it. it would be nice to see this line-up, though highly doubtful, once again, maybe toss in a cover or two, christ knows between \'em all they\'d know a **** load that they could jump into at anytime. no actual complaints by me. good to see you all.
good times, **** working saturdays though.

After last nights spectacle, Tim Palmieri has removed all doubt from my mind that he truly is the man.
I believe one of the "rules" was no song teases. Everything was improv. Funky, jazzy, rocking improv.
Enjoyed it to the max.
There definitely was one point where the entire front row was all bfam infoers.
Adrian truly was an animal on the drums for his sit in.
really was a refreshing break from the norm.
-
Wish I could\'ve been raging it in th Bfam corner.
:that:
-
think **** brew.
i\'m not a huge jazz head, so I\'m useless with teases.
-
a few questions for those that were present....
Was the show 100% improvisation? or were there some distinguishable songs?
If it was all improv, were there any noticeable teases that can be remembered?
Were there breaks between "songs"?
What was the style- i\'m imagining some kind of funky, jazzy rock....
it sure seemed 100% improv...i didn\'t notice any songs/teases
there were breaks
mostly funky, jazzy rock...except for the last song of the second set, which was supposed to be heavy metal. it should be noted that horns have no place in heavy metal
-
**** sounds like it was ser as hell, hopefully there will be more jamming/colaborations in the future. Wish I could\'ve been raging it in th Bfam corner.

imagine what adrian would have done with a percussion set up?
didn\'t the opening act have something set up?
-
you guys are absolutely **** killing me with these insanely sexy reviews. surface surface surface please !!!!!!!
-

-
i\'m right there with you both
-
i\'m glad to see that it wasn\'t just me.
-
this may have been the most amazing show I\'ve ever seen.
-
:wah:
wow i would have given my left nut to be there. can. not. ****. wait. to hear this ****
-
i\'m still at a loss for words about the show...galenas...amazing review! what impressed me even further though was that if you made a list of all of the musicians that showed up last night to support, then you would surely run out of paper. bridgeport was more alive than i have seen in a LONG while....and that felt incredible. THAT is what it\'s all about imo. I couldn\'t have been happier to share last night with so many amazing people! bfam or not....it was a gathering of love for music, and the best throw down i\'ve seen yet! I\'m really hoping this becomes a regular thing for Tim and Adrian....last night was proof enough that there are certainly no limits to what they are capable of doing, and i am proud to know them! ROCK!
-
Boy......maybe fat, drunk, and stupid, IS no way to go through life!!!!....Whineberg.
-
ok, not to exaggerate or anything, but this was one of the most enjoyable music experiences i have ever had. bold statement, yes. but the **** coming out of the minds and bodies of the men on stage last night was almost beyond comprehension. i think that level of improv is a true mark of genius. i mean really, how the hell do they even conceive of the rhythms and the notes that they play?!
the band played two sets. timmy was on stage right, willie was in the center, greg was next on stage left and fuzz was all the way stage left. vinnie, duh, was in the back.
jamming was obviously very free formed, but definitely tight. i felt everyone had a great ear for what the others were doing and were quick to adjust and throw the spotlight back and forth. and the smiles abounded. it was clear they were having fun up there on stage.
timmy p, damn boy!! genius, no doubt. i\'m honestly just glad to know you! willie was SO into tpalms\' playing. he kept throwing his hands (one of which contained a trumpet) in the air, dancing and giving it up to timmy. raging in timmy\'s corner with the bfam was without a doubt the place to be!
i honestly don\'t think i\'ve ever used the word "ser" to describe something on this board before (been saving it for the right moment) but i\'m going to say it right here and now: ADRIAN\'S SIT IN WAS SER AS ****!!!
one moment that pops into mind was when fuzz started playing around with the feedback from the speakers -- definitely kicked things up a notch or two. billy corgan style right there. i thought i was going to combust right there i was so damn happy.
fear not: this was taped. ken was on dvd and i met this dude john who was doing audio. (but he doesn\'t know how to upload it to archive, so maybe someone here might be able to help him out?? call me if so.)
bfam represented last night! sooo awesome to see you all!
i wish i could rewind and relive this night all over again....
lboogie - thanks for the ride and thanks for being "responsible." god knows what sort of shape we would have been in otherwise right now! i\'m so pissed i forgot the other half of my delicious sandwich in your car!!
and princess -- girl, wouldn\'t have been the same if you didn\'t make it out! i love red headed step kid ****!!
RESPECT THE CONE!!!
-

-
8 is a little early for me.
Should be outta work around 5 and home by 5:30. I\'m going to try to hit the gym also.
I can probably leave my house about 7:30/8:00 to head up there. I\'d like to do some cheap drinks beforehand if anyone has any ideas
-
wow. 8 makes this un-doable when i gotta work til 6:30. have fun (jealous!)
-
pretty sure 8 is correct according to most of my bridgeport friends....which seems right when you think of how many musicians will be in attendance.....performing or not. tonight has some ser. potential for a massive throwdown!
-
i\'ll probably be there. free improv w/ timmy + high school reunion @ the field = good time
how sure are we of the 8 pm start time? one set?
-
who is doing this tonight?

oh yeah:) i remember hearing about this! i\'ll def be there...sounds like a great night of music! hope you can make it down duane
-
at the field on friday 11/21 as part of the willie waldman project. i\'ve seen willie waldman at moe.down. he\'s a trumpet player and he\'s nuts. vinnie and jim (don\'t think jim\'s in on this one) from moe. regularly work with him when their off. it\'s extremely improvisational. i don\'t think timmy will have any prior knowledge of songs or certainly not any practice. i have to work....but i\'m working on that!
