all our updates were free windows updates on XP/2003 server.

2000server and 2000 i had to do manually.

the linux/unix ones i did manually too, but i wasn\'t really sure what i was doing there, and i haven\'t had any complaints yet ;)

yeah 2000 and 2000 server for what I had to deal with. grrr...

Well, since the clocks were changed... When I leave the house at 5:30, it\'s not pitch black. Makes me feel a lot better about being up that early. I don\'t have to lead horses out in the dark, stumbling over rocks/getting dragged down the hill in the dark by the naughty ones.  I can tell whether or not hay was thrown out for them the night before. This is much better than walking around with a flashlight trying to figure this out. Also, the horses are much quieter walking out when it is light out for some reason.

So I\'m pretty pleased with it.

This sentiment is, however, unique in the the agricultural sector (which I am technically a part of.) Most farmers really hate daylight savings.

do you ever have to whip those naught horses....... i can be naught....... :banwhip:

:wah:

I think it defeats the purpose if it\'s enjoyed...

Or maybe not.

i believe next year it wont be around anymore...i hate it b/c of the dark evenings

thats not good. if its not around anymore then it will be darker evenings in the summer because daylight savings begins in March and ends on November 1.

i would rather be in daylight savings time year round.

i think its going to be the other way around

AWESOME.

another huge headache for the IT industry/or people who mantain images for operating systems that no longer recieve automatic daylight savings updates

I\'m not sure on the whole story of this, but last year George Bush decided it should be a week later than usual. I had no idea until my computers which I maintain were showing the incorrect time a week early (because they were on the original schedule). I then heard that to fix this problem Microsoft came out with a patch for major companies to buy that would fix this automatically. Somewhere around the $10K price tag. That\'s ridiculous. $10K to have your servers automatically change time. BS.

my $.02

Our equivalent, British Summer Time (ie GMT+1), is a waste of time, especially when the rest of Europe doesn\'t bother.

What was worse was the two days my two year old woke up at 10 to 6 in the morning all ready to play!  Aaarghh! :(

aside from tuesdays and thursdays, i basically wake up whenever the hell i feel like it. it\'s great.

daylight savings throws me off every year. i don\'t like adjusting to the day getting darker earlier... makes me sleepy.

Make an effort to see some daylight everyday.  The early dark is worst if you already have somewhat of a nocturnal lifestyle.  You can go days without seeing the sun, and yes, that will **** with your head.

it doesn\'t bother me, but it\'s annoying that it gets dark around here by 6pm - I hate getting to work when it\'s dark in the morning AND leaving work at night when it\'s dark! :sigh:
