75-90 people were there, with about 25-30 of those clearly coming for the opening band.  I can\'t imagine this show would be the foundation for a more marquee timeslot next time.

Do you think they drew a big enough crowd to get them re-booked on a weekend?

Zappa, have you listened to this on the archive yet? At 5:38 of Synergy (Part 2) there\'s clearly a "The Message" tease by Tim. It\'s of the end part jam. This must be changed on the offical setlist! It\'s urking me!! Thanks....

maybe I got the wrong one. Have not heard either song in a while. have to wait for the tapes.

Better late than never I suppose! This semi-newb is getting bad markings at Breakfast school.
So basically, when they started playing I realized that my expectations were absurdly high after the Sully\'s show. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by the boys performance; good old fashion fun times for much of the first set, some dark take Lindsey to strange places times in the second set. Though there were many similarities between the setlists, Sully\'s was just a whole different kind of beast. Both shows were awesome as a whole, IMO.  Not sure how I feel about Metropolis opener, though I am a big fan of the song. Cut Me Some Slack was when things really took off! Dangle Does it Proper, the whole show!  Harry > Escher\'s was **** enormous. Didn\'t think I was going to get my Puppetry so when I finally heard those teases amongst the depths of the darkness that was set two, I almost lost it. The places that Puppetry went with those nasty ass Foam teases throughout were downright disgusting.  I forgive you John Whalley, for telling me that you saw Tim mouthing it. Yes, my review might be a bit excessive but I feel this show is deserving of it.

Sad to see them leave but it was so great to see everyone (Seth, Princess :ban<3:, you regulars as always, you fine Boston folks..) and send the boys off with a bang.

we need to get this band into the hard rock cafe.  EXTREMELY shitty location parking wise, but it\'s a really really great venue and i think it\'s the perfect size for the band.

all in all, awesome night.  thanks *SO* much for coming to boston. traveling 2+ hours to see them all the time takes a lot out of you.  but i\'m glad so many of you CT people showed up.  seriously, last night was a complete success (minus that one bad luck thing we won\'t talk about).

and hey, at least no one had a burrito thrown at them last night. :)

People were beggin for more but no encore for some reason.

venue wouldn\'t let them, they tried.  it was 1:30.  if people were still buying drinks at that point they might have let them play more.  most of us were driving so we were done by then

Great time good to see everyone!  Very fun time getting down in front of the stage with everyone!

While the show was a good time, I am going to buy into the Harper\'s Ferry Curse theory.  First the band gets their van and ALL gear stolen there on 9/12/01.  Then in 2005 four serheads get kicked out in one show.  Then last night someone smashes their $1000 light days before tour and nobody admits to it.  That\'s an incredible stretch of bad luck at one venue.

I would guess there was about the same crowd size of the last Mill Street show.  Overall better than I expected.

I was hoping they would play Metropolis all week, and when they started with it, I knew it would kick ass.  CMSS was some deep funkage.  HLH definetly owened the first set, one of the best ones I\'ve seen. Etch4 is a damn good song too, great way to close the set.  Unfortunately I ended up leaving at setbreak to catch the T so I could get back to Weymouth, I really wish the T ran all night.

While at the show I ran into this kid I went to college with, we actually lived together during a summer session.  I was trying to get him out to a Breakfast show back in 2006, but that was the Mill Street show that got cancelled because of a blizzard.  So a few years later he finally gets to his first Breakfast show.  One of his roomates he was with, this was his first show in 8 years apparently.  Always good to find random people finding out about these shows.

Also the dude I know from college mentioned seeing the Timmy acoustic Reba on YouTube.  I think when peeps see crazy **** like that, it\'s good marketing to get them to attend shows.

I didn\'t have any $ when i left and wasn\'t able to grab a hat at the merch table. Don\'t when I\'ll be able to make it to another show, hopefully the iron horse show, can the hats be purchased on line anywhere?

good times good times.  We got pulled over on the way in but the cop gave us a warning, the opening band wasn\'t bad, the red sox won and then the breakfast tore it up!  no encore was a bummer, but oh well.  I thought Tim could\'ve been turned up a bit, but overall the sound was pretty even.

last night was pretttttty spectacular.... not gonna lie.

HLH was absolutely awesome. i always am psyched for that song, and its different everytime they play it. last nights was a flat out dance party; in fact, most of set 1 was full of booty shakin and fist pumping !

second set started with more dancing, synergy>ep1>synergy was the perfect way to launch the set! i loved last night\'s synergy, they definitely slowed it down in the middle coming out of ep1, and it was some really awesome chris-adrian interplay that kicked it back into gear.... it ended with tim flat out shredding and the crowd losing their minds...how it should be ! Puppetry was dark and creepy and very very psychedelic.

overall, last night was everything i look for in a breakfast show. plenty of lighthearted dancing and funk rock in the first set, followed by creative, experimental, and spontaneous psychedlic jams in the second set. i am so sad Red Square was cancelled; however, i am so thrilled the guys will be on the road for a month together. i can\'t wait to see what brews while they are traveling and playing multiple nights a week.

good luck on the road boys !! :)

I wouldn\'t say "hero" but Chris was definetely laying it down for the rest of the band last night. Great show. That was my first time seeing Metropolis and Etcher\'s 4 live, and really dug both of them. I think Metropolis, Gravity was the highlight of the first set and Synergy->Eppy 1->Synergy the second.

For a mid-week show, I think the crowd was pretty good. Hopefully it turned some heads in Beantown and the band will be back for a weekend show before xmas.

One of Greg\'s lights met with catastrophe tonight while they were at dinner and is out of commission for the time being. It was set up on stage on a crate. When they came back, no one was sure what happened or who did it, but it was on the stage, broken in two. :sigh: He has several calls in to see what can be done for tour but lighting gear isn\'t like running down to the local music shop because you broke a string...

it actually happened not long after loading in...a while before dinner. we were outside at the van, went back in, and the light had mysteriously fallen off of the stage. no idea what happened/who did it. i really think that harper\'s ferry is just cursed. last night was a great show, but i will never be a fan of that venue/the management there.

even with that start to the evening, i had a blast at this show. totally wasn\'t expecting to hear eppy 1!!!! gladys>puppetry=probably my favorite part of the night. sucks that there was no encore..

i\'m not gonna make some long list of everyone i was fortunate enough to run into last night, but have to say that i\'m impressed with the turnout that there was on a wednesday night. great to see all of you boston-new hampsh-ri people!

great little crowd to send the boys off on tour with. Anywho, openers had a good crowd going and they stayed/were there for breakfast through all of set 1. setbreak doozed out at least 3/4 of them but those who stayed were treated to a great little funk dance party. The synergy breakdown sounded like they were going to build right back into a trance jam but instead they held back and wandered off into ambience a-la the middle of a trippy tweezer before eventually raging back into synergy and bringing those puppetry teases into a full fledge version of the song. IMO chris was the hero of the night. Everyone was playing, but he was just laying down one groove after another, and doing some pretty damn impressive effects on the pedals. I was not the only one to notice as peaches started the "dangle-deuce!" chant as they left the stage.

john whaley = man of the hour.

so it\'s now 5:30 am, a 2 hour nap in the pimpmobile, xl light and sweet coffee, shower, and bowl of cereal later (not in that order) and I\'ve been at work for 30 minutes. By the time I leave, Gavin will be a star and I\'ll be half awake, but for now I\'m bouncing off the walls.
 :banjump:

Great to see everyone who was there, some people coming out of the woodworks for me were Jocelyn, James, Igzy, Posty, Andrea, Wolfman, and for the first time since ween, a full fledge princess sighting, not merely an elisa. Damn girl, you were raging! As for Whaley and Ashley, just remember me when you\'re getting yourself a sonic burger while sitting in traffic on the q bridge.
