Where the hell is Harwinton?
Harwinton is next to Torrington if you hadnt heard yet.
Can someone tell me generally where this place is located. I can\'t believe that I have never heard of the fact that there is a BWW in New Haven. The closest one I thought was in the Post Road Mall.
-
Or maybe I like crappy food.
I am beginning to think the same for me. Because I\'ve eatten at that one and the one in the mall, and I can\'t complain. But i am not a wing eater, i am strictly chicken tenders and popcorn shrimp. So maybe thats why....
-
There was a BWW in Longmont, CO where I worked, and would go there after work for beers. I really couldn\'t complain about the food there, maybe this particular BWW you guys were at just sucks.
Or maybe I like crappy food.

and the fact that they were willing to serve gencs just goes to show what an upstanding place it was...because i am still nervous that i havent heard from him....
he made it through the weekend... probably because of Holly. Good job Mama!!
-
Didn\'t get involved with the food, but gotta admit it was awesome hanging out in the open air patio area, with Timmy sounds filling the air, and XL hi def screens of Red Sox, Yanks, Mets and UConn football all at once!!
-
i have only been to the mall one, but yes the food sucks, on the pro side they have 10000000 tvs and get pretty much ANY game you want

Joe\'s Garage > Inner Glimpse^ > Joe\'s Garage > Inner Glimpse
only made it down for the second set, but the journey from toad\'s to wild wings was well worth it. definitely an odd place to see tim play. i didn\'t try any of the wings but managed to take full advantage of the $1 beers for as long as they were willing to serve me and gencs.

It used to *be* the food court at the mall! Actually, I think it\'s the same space as the old Burger King--or is that where Starbucks is? The food court in the Chapel Square Mall was upstairs at the other end of the building by the walkway to Macy\'s--anyone remember Orange Julius?--before the food court was moved to the Chapel Street side.
-
yea, the wings were pretty average/crappy. maybe I was just really hungry the one other time I had them.
It was like eating at the food court at the mall.
-
fun time before dinosaur jr, and the unexpected reprise afterwards. great to have a lot of "our people" in the crowd, but to say that this was a WEIRD place to see tim would be an enormous understatement. extremely bright, TVs *everywhere*... just weird.
stublatt was absolutely hilarious when he walked in, walked up to me, and before even saying hi, says, "WELL THIS PLACE SUCKS!".
and since al z asked about the wings in the other thread, and whether or not they compare to The Hangar... PFFFFFFT!!!!!! yeah **** right. the two places shouldn\'t even be mentioned in the same thread. i ordered some boneless "wings" to see what they were all about.. :thumbsdow i don\'t know how they could even call them wings. they were barely nuggets, and were about 80% fry, 20% chicken. maybe my expectations were a little too high considering this is a chain, but ick. should have eaten ahead of time.
How is this a successful chain? That was the worst food I ever had in restaurant. High school cafeteria quality. Not to mention it made me sick. I NEVER get sick from eating, but this slop got me. It makes Hooters look like fine dining. Dispicable.
That said I enjoyed the $1 beers, and TT on a friday made for a sloppy good time. If Tim books again, I\'ll go, I just won\'t eat there.

\'women and children first\'? is that a song i\'m not aware of or could it be idioteque by radiohead?
it\'s Could This Be Magic? by Van Halen.
i knew it was one of the two names, I took a guess. oh well.

Where the hell is Harwinton?
-
Road trip!
Think we could get Tim to play the gig?
-
Been wanting to go there for quite a while, I really need to do it. Anyone up for a .info field trip to Harwinton?
That and I have got to get to The Hangar.
-
I have had Buffalo Wild Wings and they\'re pretty disappointing--even if you walk in with low expectations. Reminds me of the old Wendy\'s "Where\'s the Beef?" commercials. "Parts is Parts."
Haven\'t been to the Hangar, but has anyone been to the Landing Zone Grille in Harwinton? I\'ve only been there once, but man, their wings are outrageous. There are quite a few selections on the menu, and we asked the waitress about the 9-1-1 wings, she says "You want the medium." We asked a couple other questions--some varieties require that you sign a waiver. She says, "You want the medium." We went with here recommendation, and they were still hotter than anything BWW could dish up. Tasty, too! The menu is like 20 pages long, with other cajun specialties, like alligator. Cool place. Worth the drive to the middle of nowhere.
-
Way below average wings for sure.

After going to The Hangar, 99% of all the world\'s wings are inedible.
If the Bfast are gonna be in the Bay Area the night before CT Yankee, Tim should try to play an afternoon set at Jupiter in Berkeley with accompanying band members on stage.

drove once around the block, saw no parking, and said \'fuckit\' and went home
-
no tapers expect sams dads camcorder for some of set 2 & 3 which given he put it outside near the street and then on the floor very low might not be the best audio source.
-
Awww, man! The BAR show shoulda been a good indication of this. At least I got to listen to that one courtesy of Mr. Pecoraro. Anyone tape this?
All the more reason to make Richters and Anna Liffey\'s next week.
