Free, open-source VLC media player will play pretty much anything without any fuss.

.divx and .avi seem to be interchangeable, but I guess you need to install the divx codec in order for it to work.

They also have a divx web player. Anyone try that?  

Supports divx HD 720p and 1080p!  Just need a few HD cameras!!!

The divx compression format looks the best and is very efficient compared to DVD format.  The original files was over 18gb compressed to 292mb.  Sendspace has a file limit of 300mb.

thanks for doing this up matt!! looking forward to when i can watch it all the way thru.

with divx files i usually rename the file and change the extension from .divx to .avi. that way it opens in windows media player. but maybe its just my computer thats weird about playing .divx files.
