"Eternity is a long time my friends. You may not realize just how long though.

Imagine you\'re in the supermarket to buy a stick of gum.
And there\'s only one register open.
And there\'s a dozen people in front of you in line.
And everyone has a full cart of groceries.
And none of the items are marked.
And everyone wants to pay by check.
And it\'s the girls first day on the job.
And, she doesn\'t speak english.

You shave a few minutes off of that, and you\'ll start to get an idea."

this is the most articulate thread ever

Very articulate indeed!

It\'s unfortunate that it is also completely devoid of any intelligent discourse whatsoever.

The quality of exchange seen here resembles a slow motion boxing match at the Special Olympics and the weight class is \'Pseudo-Intellectual Stoner\'.

after some research....i stand corrected. i\'m still not sure how you account for the runner moving up. it\'s certainly not a fielders choice and there\'s no error.

So, you gonna be one of those father\'s who gives their kid a sac fly when someone tags from 2nd to 3rd off their flyout?

excuse me....but how the **** did the runner get to third? you have to account for that somehow. at every level of the game....that\'s a sac fly.

maybe if he bunted the ball all the way to right field then it is.

furthermore....

courtesy of wikipedia:

In baseball, a batted ball is considered a sacrifice fly if the following four criteria are met:

    * There are fewer than two outs when the ball is hit.
    * The ball is hit to the outfield.
    * The batter is out because an outfielder or an infielder running in the outfield catches the ball (or would have been out if not for an error).
    * A runner who is already on base scores on the play.

wait, if you\'re laptop was crushed into a singularity and you awoke in a field of tall grass that stretched on forever surrounded by no one and nothing for miles, then how were you able to read the thread? I call shenanigans on your story cobby. I don\'t believe it for a second.

see my previous post (http://thebreakfast.info/forum/showthread.php?p=202614&highlight=singularity#post202614).  reading said post caused the narrator\'s laptop implosion.

To continue my efforts towards boosting the thread\'s words per post average, I offer a firsthand account from an anonymous lurker who read my previous post - the one I specifically warned against reading - and found himself the victim of the unsafe conditions surrounding a point in spacetime in which gravitational forces cause matter to have an infinite density and zero volume.  Here is his story:

"I certainly didn\'t think he was serious as I read through the small print below his sarcastic commentary on the subject matter of the thread.  But as my archaic iBook G4 laptop began to shake violently, I began to revise my conclusion.  No logic board failure or kernel panic could have been causing this.  I\'d always wondered if Steve Jobs were some sort of evil sorcerer, but at that moment I knew the collapse of matter I was witnessing was the consequence of my own wandering eyes.  It looked as if this laptop was a piece of old newspaper, slowly but surely balled up in preparation to be used as kindling for a fireplace.  But it didn\'t stop there, no sir.  This ball of metal kept crunching in on itself, getting smaller and smaller until it became hard to even see on the surface of my desk.  I started to notice a strange queezy feeling in my stomach as I watched my pencil holder slide towards the center of the desk and collapse into this tiny ball of matter.  Then went the cell phone, followed by my speakers, and then the desk itself began it\'s collapse.  At that moment, everything got a bit funny.  This point had become so dense that even light could no longer escape it\'s menacing gravitational pull.  Before the impulse to run jumped a single synapse, I felt my physical existence - as i knew it - end entirely as I became part of this tiny force of destruction.

I came to days later.  Or anyway, it seemed like days had gone by.  What had transpired during that time, I couldn\'t tell you, but sitting at my desk reading silly threads on .info felt like ages ago.  I opened my eyes and found myself naked, lying in tall grass that seemed to go on forever.  I couldn\'t see anyone or anything but grass, however I knew I was not alone out here, wherever here was.  And then the horrifying reality set in as I began to realize where I was.  If anyone had told me I\'d find myself in this terrible place, I\'d have never even opened that horrible, pointless thread, let alone reading that stupid waste of a post, despite it\'s clear warning.  So please, I beg of you, learn from my mistake.  History need not repeat itself.  We must move forward.  We are all one mind.  Don\'t allow my horrible fate to be in vain.  It\'s up to all of you.  Be of service to one another.  You are ALL brothers and sisters regardless of any perceived differences.  The only separation between any of you is only the separation you create.  The cells that make up your body can\'t grow as one if they are at odds with one another.  If that were the case you\'d get sick and wouldn\'t survive very long.  As below, so above.  Humanity is sick, and will not survive very long unless the cells that make it up begin to realize that they are all one body, and act accordingly.  Don\'t focus on how this person or that person could be doing more, or acting differently.  Focus on your own progress.  If everyone keeps their side of the street clean.... Well then, I guess we wouldn\'t need those big street cleaning vehicles that always seem to back up traffic, and it\'s always when you\'re already late for something... Like what the hell, man?  Why now?  Shouldn\'t they send those guys out at like 3am or something?  Now I\'ve got to reschedule my colonoscopy, and this doctor has a long waiting list.  I made this appointment like 4 months ago.  So please, I beg all of you.  Let us band together and eliminate the need for those ridiculous, pain in the ass street cleaning truck things."

So, yeah that\'s that.  What\'s the WPP average now?

can everyone just pair off and get a room so we can keep talking about teen angst and high school and all sorts of other things that we\'ll find out, once we turn 19 or 20, never really mattered in the first place?

This portion of the current posting has the sole purpose of attempting to increase the average words per post for this thread.  Please disregard this paragraph entirely, as it will be a waste of time to continue reading.  If you continue to read this paragraph, your computer will begin to collapse in on itself, eventually forming a singularity so dense, you\'ll basically be pulled apart as you are sucked into it.  And no one really wants that.  Unless I REALLY don\'t like you, in which case I wouldn\'t be that torn up over it.  (Get it?  Torn up?  Cuz of the miniature black hole in front of you?  You see what I did there?  I\'m so funny.)

(BTW hilarious post by bezerker "you gotta be fuckin kidding me"  Brilliant.)

Okay, I\'m gonna lay off the hypertensive political discourse for a time being...It may turn into a Vietnam of words in a way. Let\'s make it known that the music, math (numbers in general), and good shows make it possible for us to agree to disagree. Let me tell you, I might even shed a couple tears on that one, because after all is said and done, we\'re all on this boat ride together and have been perplexed by the infinite possibility of the human mind and spirit.

Today at my field placement I met 16 four-year-old preschoolers who were absolutely amazing. The way they listened attentively and used a coloring project to learn one-to-one correspondence, fractions, writing, and well, all curricular areas in a way, makes me smile and remember how lucky I am to be able to be with them all in this lifetime.

I understand that we have had several influences metaphorically/educationally speaking, and each person must walk the path in their own way. I am def. remembering my stats class in a more positive light now Wolfman. I have tended to be verbose, and if there was a jam solo for the way of this sound synesthesia (sp?) I\'d enjoy the B-fast to invent and play it. The movie Pi reminds me of this sensation of mathematically examining life as we know it. I took a modern mathematics class (pretty low on the difficulty rating) but def. extraordinary while discussing issues of polling/elections, building design, and the Fibonacci sequence.

If I was a math teacher who could design the curriculum, I\'d want to call it Sacred Geometry of the Warrior.

My goal is to become a college professor. And yes, I do care deeply about the material. My general approach to a lot of things in life is (and has always been) sociological, I just didn\'t realize this until last year when I switched majors. I want to teach and continuously research/write in order to figure out ways to attack the system, or break down social injustices that I think are BLARING in this society but not given enough attention because, well, that\'s the point, right? I\'m not interested in becoming rich, I\'m interested in empowering people who are never given the tools to empower themselves, specifically intellectually. I can\'t tell you how sick it makes me hearing some of my best friends constantly say "lazy ****" or "stupid spics" in situations where it\'s OBVIOUS they\'ve had a tenth of the opportunities we\'ve had. Even at work, I feel like the Mexicans are basically dehumanized by the boss and coworkers alike. I know most people don\'t give a **** about this or don\'t even want to believe there\'s any truth in sociology when their lives are smooth sailing comparatively. I know people want to continue to feel like they\'ve earned and are deserving of all of their perks in this "meritocracy" of America.... That **** just doesn\'t fly with me personally. So yeah, I\'m passionate about sociology and am fine with others not being so, but it definitely hits a nerve when someone straight up tags your route meaningless. I don\'t talk **** about anyone else\'s goals or ideas or think they\'re meaningless even if they might be for me.

ps I\'m not on the hype train around campus either, they annoy me too. I go to school for school, not to build a circus and act superior in my field.

I pre-warn anyone to reconsider what you are being taught at University and become a scrutineer concerning the agendas of public education!!!

I agree that we cannot judge someone\'s character by their race alone. It is a pure tragedy, and I fully respect anyone who is an activist, sociologist or philosopher or otherwise. However, if one is using a critical social lens, we might reveal the epitome of most social programs that have outright failed, at the cost to YOU; every single illegally taxed citizen, all in the name to "help" supposed underprivileged citizens. I am a fan of the free market and competition, which in effect will ultimately drive costs down and service provision up. To "equalize" or level the playing field, either by way of socialized medicine or welfare, would jeopardize the very existence of a free market society. Communism, in effect, attempts to economically level this societal playing field and as we\'ve seen in pre-USSR/China regimes, thwarts rights of privacy, independent business/competition, as well as a whole slew of anti- U.S. constitutional motifs.

I grew up in a very poor household, but I was never offered any help based on my White race. ( Of course not! ) I never expected any federal government compensation based on my family\'s economic status or my race. I relied on my family alone. We worked hard and see everyday people of all races who have worked hard to provide for their families and to educate themselves. Friends, it is up to us to help each other strengthen our families on a voluntary humanitarian basis.

It saddens me to ponder how we as legal law-abiding citizens are outright forced to pay our earned income via taxes that will pay for someone\'s "free" health care who decided to illegally cross our border. This person could be from any country; I am not targeting Mexicans, however thousands cross our border illegally with the expectation of deserving free housing and health care. Don\'t misinterpret me, I am all for legal immigrants! The true legal process represents the basis of the U.S. I do blame the employers who can look themselves in the mirror and deny an American a decent wage all in the name of saving a buck on cheap dehumanized illegal labor. The corporate giants are to blame! Why do we not consider optional charity as the resolve to any social program?

Basically, this results to the fact that I am a true Ron Paul Republican who is fearful of the lurches of big government. As far as people having racist slang about whole groups, they may as well save their comments and look at their own actions instead. Phew. Kudos to anyone who read this.

That is the biggest croc O\' **** O have read in a LOOOOOOONG time and that is saying something.

You start out by saying you believe in free markets and then blast corporations in the very next paragraph. So which is it, Free markets make things work or companies need to be regulated to ensure they employ Americans ?

And your love of free markets just got smacked in the face when WE the TAX Payers you so passionately defend just had to eat Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and bail their ass out.

http://www.rgemonitor.com/blog/roubini

"Today instead the US has performed the greatest nationalization in the history of humanity. By nationalizing Fannie and Freddie the US has increased its public assets by almost $6 trillion and has increased its public debt/liabilities by another $6 trillion. The US has also turned itself into the largest government-owned hedge fund in the world: by injecting a likely $200 billion of capital into Fannie and Freddie and taking on almost $6 trillion of liabilities of such GSEs the US has also undertaken the biggest and most levered LBO (?leveraged buy-out?) in human history that has a debt to equity ratio of 30 ($6,000 billion of debt against $200 billion of equity)."

So Private profits and public loses is what your free markets get us.

I seriously think you misinterpreted my position. It\'s too bad that you can say I have given a crock of **** based on a few opinions you and I have. I would defend that I support those who work hard and not take advantage of others to get their status; i.e. corporations who pay workers low wages to succeed. I outright said that we should blame them, but that is why people have the free choice of what services and goods they will buy. I am absolutely totally against unethical corporations who do not abide by the legal framework they should be held accountable for. If the free market worked appropriately, the red tape of bureaucracy wouldn\'t have muddled up the entire Federal Reserve system that supposedly "nationalizes" these self-serving corporations.

Don\'t make your attack so personal dude, it just fogs the facts you are attempting to give out.

Free marketers expose that any gov oversight is a bad thing and that the market forces will take care of themselves.

That is in essence what the housing market was. The government allowed unchecked and unregulated practices to go forward and even removed many of the oversight that was there. And what did the free market get us?

It got us predatory lending practices, over leveraged loan companies and a huge mess. That is what Free markets will get you. Corporations only care about profits and they are who drive the markets.

I am not talking about low wages. I am talking about market manipulations, insider deals etc etc. All of this would go unchecked in a Free Market as described by libertarians. I happen to agree with a lot of their platform except on this I think they are completely wrong.

There has to be oversight and checks and balances.

I am all for checks and balances in the fashion the writers of the constitution intended...I did not say I was specifically a Libertarian; moreover a fiscally conservative republican. My reasoning is that some oversight is certainly and respectably necessary, otherwise the Feds will corrupt/be corrupted. Government IMHO has no business getting involved in making laws that deny our right to bear arms, free speech, etc. "congress shall make no law..." Too many unnecessary laws result in bureaucratic mess.

Btw I disapprove of Bush and McCain and anyone who is affiliated with the Council On Foreign Relations. (you may want to check their agendas out with the Security and Prosperity Partnership SPP)  What we can do is stop using services and goods of those corps that are bogus. I would wage to say that the Feds\' involvement in fluctuation of interest rates really screwed over the housing market. Bush said in a speech in 2002 that he thought everyone has a "right" to own a home, so lets lower the down payment amounts so then we can apply a variable interest rate, which in turn gave people a false sense of being able to buy a home and in turn they eventually entered foreclosure. Back in the 70\'s one would have to put at least 20% down on a home. Now people are given a crapload of credit and when they can\'t pay the high interest rates we end up as a whole footing the bill. Therefore the Feds changing the rules wrecked us: my fault with too much gov\'t control over bankers. If we\'d get the heck outta dodge (war) perhaps we could help our own citizens more, but we\'re so invested in Iraq that we are losing our own freedoms here for the sake of "spreading democracy"...

There has to be oversight and checks and balances.

college is fun, but, no joke, if i had to do it all over again I would think a lot harder about putting myself in >$20,000 worth of debt unless i REALLY thought I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life....

for ser, if you don\'t feel very strongly about a specific field/major try starting at a cheapo community college to get your GED\'s and explore the options...

great advice. but its hard to transfer credits from most community colleges... its crazy. but still, if you\'re unsure, its a great way to stay in school, and not kill yourself with debt.

i just finally finished a 7 year epic run of college, and have a debt about 4x that of Mr. peaches (although, if i had opted to go to a private, out-of-state university, it would be close to 10x)... but you know, i had such a blast at UConn, its worth every dollar thats debited from my checking account monthly for the next 15 years.

College isn\'t only about getting a job It is about being exposed to different subjects, people. It also teaches a lot of folks what it is like to be "on their own" for the first time in their lives. It also plunges you in to having to deal with total strangers, situations you most likely never encountered as a young person in HS etc. It is a growth experience as well

And I do have to stick up for the Sociology folks here. I have a minor in sociology. The knowledge has benefited me more than many of the other subjects I studied. It taught me great insight in to many different aspects of our world and how we interact with it and others.

But I have to admit I pretty much was exactly like AL described.

A non-college graduate (which includes myself) can only peak at maybe $50,000 a year if they are lucky.  I mean, really lucky.  Majority of us waver around the $30 K mark.  In this day and age, not really enough to live on.....

While this is true for many, particularly service workers, some exceptions could include electricians, plumbers (other skilled trade peeps) that can command much higher salaries than college grads.  My friend\'s dad is an electrician who makes well above the 6-digit mark; they even have a weekend house in the Sierra.  The point is to acquire some actual skills, whether or not you go to college.  You can go to college, major in sociology (one of my pet peeve majors for its worthlessness) and have as little employable skill as a Dunkin Donut worker.

**** you.

It\'s funny because I stopped to think if I knew any sociology people and recalled you were one before I posted.  Either way, I do believe it is a totally bogus major.  My dad is a University professor and he loves to rag on sociology too.

Here\'s why:  there are two types of students that declare sociology for a major, those who  truly do care deeply for the subject matter (I\'ll bet you\'re in this camp) and then those that either are too lazy to think of a major or want an easy one and/or can\'t get accepted into another program.  As far as career opportunities, there is very little opportunity that directly recruits from this "speciality", and most sociology majors end up unemployed or in a totally unrelated career path with which they have less skills than someone who majored in it.  Finally, I really only interpret it as another vehicle to spread far-left ideology and cultivate unnecessary outrage on campus.

Gordo, let\'s hope some of your general ed classes are good. :duck:

well arent you the lucky one today...to get the lilblondie **** you...i worked pretty hard for my Sociology/Womens Studies degree...and while i did alot of messing around and running off to follow Phish in college...i truly believe in my degree and use it everyday when i go to work and help to save the world...what do you do to make the world a better place????  i work my ass off all day running around some shitty parts of Bridgeport to make sure that kids and families are staying off the streets, drugs and staying out of mental health facilites...i am not asking for a pat on the back by any means but i do something that not many people would...everyone in my life thinks that i am nuts...but the bottom line is either we help these people or the future for all of us is looking pretty grim...so while everyone is welcome to their own opinions...yours just happens to **** suck....

dont LEAVE college

A Day in the Life of a college student

10am - wake up, play video games
11 - grab lunch on the way to class
11-5 (depending on the day of the week/lab schedual, though normall 12-2 TR, and 1-3MWF)
 SIT IN CLASS
4-6: Relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx~~~~~~ and play video games

6-10: Think about, and maybe do, homework, or eat dinner

10-4: More relaxing, maybe some drinking, and video games

ehem...maybe in your dream world.  Here is just my Thursday schedule:

5am - wake up, shower, feed the critters
7am - sit in traffic
8am-2pm - classes (which consist of writing down everything the professor says or else your screwed for the semester hence the feeling of carpal tunnel at the end of the semester, or hiking around in the woods for about 4-5 hours for labs...which obviously is awesome, but still exhausting)
2-4:30 drive home, rush to get more school stuff together, maybe eat dinner if time provides
4:30 - 5:15 sit in rush hour traffic while driving to the other campus
6-9 -enjoy a depressing class about poverty and how the governments of the world are so **** up
9-9:30 drive home; not as much traffic but it\'s still there for some ungodly reason
9:30 - 10 maybe eat
10-12 homework/study
12-5 sleep
Repeat this, granted for only 2 semesters, but it will probably end up being the rest of my life.  I\'ve already devoted 7 years to my undergrad studies...why not keep my record running!  :)

CJ, i used to have your attitude.  i hated high school with all the cliques, the teachers on your case about something, etc.  but i pulled through it by the skin of my teeth.  now i\'m in college going to school for something that i love and meeting so many phenomenal people.  you just have to find your place, but be patient.  As Emerson once said,

"Adopt the pace of Nature: her secret is patience"

Well, that was my college schedual. I always took great care at course selection time to chose classes with good times.

Example:
Computer Graphics - 8am or Database Theory - 2pm

yup, i took database theory, which is, the most god awful boring class in the world.

when I was a freshman in high school I read the linear notes to frank zappa\'s freakout. There\'s a line in there that says to drop out of school and go to the public library and read a damn book if you want to get a real education. That pretty much changed my education. I already questioned a lot of what I was being told, so I started researching stuff on my own. Find the source that the book is referencing and read it. Then find the source that was based on. All those famous things that people think they know but never actually read? Go read them. I\'m talking Hawkings A brief history of time, Darwins on the origin of species. Einstiens papers on theoretical physics. You have to read something for english class and you like it? Go find another book by that author. You\'re religious? read the bible. Every version of it you can find, ideally one with the book of esther. Then the apocrypha texts and the dead sea scrolls. Then the qur\'an, torah, tao te ching, ect. Find out who gilgamesh was, how to pronounce yhwh and learn why you never should speak the word nor should you touch the qur\'an.  Did I ever mention I\'m an atheist? I just find it fascinating the beliefs people will create and pass down from one generation to the other, again, never questioning the dogma of why they do something, just understanding that someone told them once this is how it is and they took it as truth.

All your math and science is theory. There\'s very few hard facts out there that have not been refined in one way or another. The greeks thought the earth was flat. Most people still follow the basic newton theory of gravity because it\'s easier to understand than the current definition. Before the invention of the microscope no one knew what germs were as a way of people getting sick. If you ask most people what the hadron collider is doing they wouldn\'t have a clue. Don\'t even get me started on the evolution of math equations. You can thank hitler trying to prove a connection between the aryan race and the greeks for the torch bearing ceremony in the olympics.George w. bush declared a news blackout in 02\' when north korea bombed alaska because at the time he was trying to get backing for a full invasion of iraq and didn\'t want the public forcing him into a 2 front war. Bill Clinton sold missile defense secrets to china and also set up major tarriff relief funds which allowed imports to flood into america, causing the upsurge of walmart which then put a stranglehold on main st. businesses and destroyed many downtown economies. They\'re building a superhighway from mexico to canada right through the center of the us which will be border stop free. As a result, no emissions testing and thousands of trucks from mexico will be able to come into the country that would never pass our standards. Anyway, enough of that. go read something, damnit.

I think MakisupaCJ has set a record for most posts in the first week of .info membership!

MakisupaCJ has 47 posts in his first 13 days.  That is the highest first-13-day total in the past 5 years.  Several charter .info members who were heavy Yahoo Group users before .info existed had more than 47 posts in the first 13 days, but nobody has beaten that since.  CJ\'s 47 posts in first 13 days is 2.63 standard deviations above the average of 1.1 posts in first 13 days.  If you adjust that to not count lurkers (people who make 0 posts within 13 days of creating a handle) then the average posts in first 13 days is 9.5, and 47 posts is 1.92 standard deviations from the norm.

While the post total is something to be proud of, MakisupaCJ is also headed towards some less noble records.  He has destroyed the record for "haha"s in first 13 days.  In fact, he actually leads all of .info for "haha"s in the entire calendar year for 2008.  In the Downloading Maadd(sp?) And claim independence now!!  I went to community college to get my associates, claimed independence, got very good grades at community college, and now I\'m in my second year at a university where I don\'t pay a dime. In fact my scholarship money paid out was $600 over for the semester.... I paid my rent and have nothing hangin over my head as far as owing the man, it\'s fantastic.

I agree that education is the best route.   However, I\'ve known guys who have started landscaping businesses with nothing and have made big bucks, dated a plumber\'s daughter one summer and his billable hour was close to $100 even 12 years ago, known people with only cooking skills who\'ve done extremely well with popular restaurants.....the list goes on for the vocational opportunities that can pay well.

The key phrase in that statement is "my friends dad".  As the son of a mason, I can tell you this, it takes a long time and tons of blood sweat and tears for a blue collar worker to get to the 6 figure mark.  Whereas an education can jumpstart your financial income like hardwork never can.

:duck:

5:30am - 6:00am Get up, shower, have coffee, leave
6:00am - 7:00am Sit in traffic
7:00am - 6:00pm Sit in a cube
6:pm - 7:00pm Sit in traffic
7:00 - 9:00pm - Evening recreational activites
9:00 - 11:00 - relaxx...
11:00pm = 5:30am sleep
repeat until you are 75.

I was thinking more of salary wise.    I hate to say.  But money makes the world go round.

College graduate (with or without masters, preferably with) can make $60,000 and up a year.

A non-college graduate (which includes myself) can only peak at maybe $50,000 a year if they are lucky.  I mean, really lucky.  Majority of us waver around the $30 K mark.  In this day and age, not really enough to live on.

You should really try freewriting or journaling during that time.  You are going through a really huge transition with the loss your teacher/friend.  Maybe putting that into words, you can also find a way to express yourself with your free time, while doing something creative.

its how i got through all my study periods as a teen.  I\'d find a really nice place on campus and journal my heart out.

As a decent student athlete I was "allowed" to basically do whatever I wanted during study halls. Although I did have 1 teacher who would give me a hard time but I generally ignored her and if she gave me detentions or whatever they got "taken care of"

hahahaha. It was nice to get special treatment in those days. Use to really **** people off. Funny I never asked for special treatment but for whatever reasons people were willing to sometimes see "my side of the argument" ;)

Well, all I\'m saying is that I want to look back and say that I did I the best I could while I was stuck in this place. Had as much fun as I could while I was stuck in this place. Played as hard as I could while I was stuck in this place... Dogged as many girls as I could while I was stuck in this place...

Those words changed my high school life.

Seriously CJ, try and learn something. Read a book. Don\'t waste your time there.

Plus, study is awesome. Think when you\'re working an 8 hour day you\'re going to get 45 minute breaks?

You might if you have a really incredible job. If you want one of those, quit bitching and make some use of your time in school.

exactly....i work and go to grad school...i would kill for a 45 minute break

School is my work, and work is school. One and the same. Otherwise, making money is side work.

The title explains it all  and you alllll know the feeling.

When I was in school always felt the same. Now that I have a job and have to deal with real world BS I would give anything to be back in School.

Plus you get to look at girls all day long. Here at the office not so much

My sister once told me "You want to get out of school/college ? Stay in school as long as you possibly can because the real world blows"

truer words have not been spoken.

Perhaps if you are bored and dig boarding / music etc. You could spend your free time developing a business plan to provide you with endless music / boarding opportunities. You could arrange ski/boarding trips to mountains in the NE. Hook your school friends up, organize the trips, make a few bucks for yourself, get an idea of what you like and don\'t like. Stuff like that is fun as hell, and also looks really good in interviews to say you took an idea and made it happen etc.

Crack a book.  I\'d recommend Zinn\'s Peoples History of the US or anything by Vonnegut.
