I don\'t understand this either. This band needs more young fans.
maybe you and oldnewbie can get together and hang out with diana\'s little sister. rotfl

to be honest i doubt the bar will pay enough for the breakfast to play there.
i really think that it would be well worth it for them to play there just to be able to tap into the uconn crowd. it\'s close enough to where the guys live that they really wouldn\'t lose out on that much $ if they did a show there. i\'d promote the hell out of it at uconn too. a show in manchester is much more doable to a uconn student than a show in hartford.
there\'s also the stonewall tavern about 5 minutes off campus which is kind of the "heady" bar these days. i know that otherwise has played there and the indobox has a show coming up at the place. would be great exposure for the guys, even if it\'s not a big venue like toad\'s place.
If the stonewall tavern is what used to be schmedleys than it\'s pretty much sully\'s-sized....

is husky blues still open? lol

uconn (which is still an untapped region, for whatever reason).
what\'s the deal?

i dont think theres a sound system.
there def is a sound system now. i saw JFJO there in the spring it seems like they upgraded their mickey mouse operation from when i was there last a few years ago.
tim reynolds trio just played there. and for upcoming acts they have charlie hunter trio, the brew, gongzilla, donna jean and the tricksters, dub is a weapon, electric mayhem, melvin sparks band. all of these shows would have been perfect to promo at if the breakfast had a gig scheduled there. if these are the kinds of bands they normally book it probably wouldnt be a bad idea to start playing there once in a while instead of sullys.

I asked Tim about it after Garaj Mahal. He didn\'t think it was a fit.
That GM show was/is one of the best things I\'ve ever seen.
I love the venue and yes they seem to get some good names in there. Nice central location too.

I have no clue but I can tell you that the owner is awfully cheap and kind of a dick. that may have a part in this, I don\'t know.
-
i\'ve always wondered that myself

why doesn\'t the band ever play here? it\'s about the same size as sully\'s, so the place would be pretty well filled. they get really good acts there (i\'ve seen pnuma trio, garage mahal, brothers past there...they all drew pretty well). it\'s close to uconn (which is still an untapped region, for whatever reason). plus it\'s one of those venues where the band isn\'t on a stage...always bodes well for breakfast shows.
