Yeah, that\'s a good way to earn cooperation from the local police. You may as well set up a DUI check point, drug test and full cavity search at the main entrance.

what would be your choice for a festi name if the breakfast ever put one together where they were headlining?
Not that this is an original thought on my part, but it would obviously be BreakFest. End of discussion.

Hey Overexjoesure......I\'m sorry for being a dick. I came home last night with few drinks in me but that\'s no excuse...I was being the "****". I was just trying to make the point that you shouldn\'t judge something without hearing it but instead I made a better point...DON\'T POST AFTER DRINKING.
I hope you accept my apology.
Let\'s hope a festival like this does go through. I would give the band huge exposure.
Oh and by the way....Kendall is an awesome teacher. That\'s cool that he turned you on to Coltrane. As far as Xbox lesson plans......that\'s actually not a bad idea. It would teach the kids listening skills, timing, arrangement, and a lot of other musical elements if presented correctly but I think I\'ll stick to my 30 guitars, 2 electic guitars, a bass, a drumset and 25 keyboards that I have in my class. Real instruments are way more fun.
it\'s cool. Accepted....
Back to big fest for Break Fast....

Everyone has different taste in music, so let\'s try to keep this thread positive & constructive for the band...

^^The Ridgefield Playhouse show was insane! If these two bands played on the same day, I\'d be a happy girl! :banboogy:

****? Ok dude. First off, it took me several seconds to assume that they were a shitty modern rock band. Checked out a few songs and my assumptions were spot on per usual.
For a middle school music teacher (at least I assume you are still) you have **** poor taste in music and I\'m certainly glad I graduated Harborside before you came along. At least Kendall Alderman tried to explain Coltrane to us. I can see you bringing in your daughter\'s X-Box 360 as a month long lesson plan, making them remember the control patterns to Paramore.... lame, I\'m with Wah on this one.

I have no idea who Paramore is, so please tell me, if they were to headline a festival, about what size fest are we talking? Bonnaroo? Up North? Something in the middle?
I\'m breaking my silence to answer the question since no one here seems to know.
Paramore sold out 5000 seats at Oakdale (Chevy Theater) on Saturday and probably could have sold more. They are a very good band in the alternative genre. They\'ve sold well over 100,000 plus Cd\'s and probably many more. They\'ve been on the the Rolling Stone/Billboard charts for a long time. I can\'t see this happening since last night was the last show of a two year tour. The band is taking a break and going into the studio to write their third CD. But I do hope that the guys from the Breakfast could hook up with an act like this...it would def expand their fan base and expose young kids to some incredible music (The Breakfast)
To the person who wrote Paramore sucks and then said they\'ve never heard of them.... you\'re an ****!!! That\'s a stupid **** response. How can you judge a band you\'ve never heard of. DUH!!
And last, Freddie YOU\'RE A **** ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh....I\'ll PM you with an apology like you did to me. ( Slam me publically and apoligize privately = coward!)

I call nannies on that one. .
i dont know if that would be the exact line up for that stage. that day. But it could look like something like that.
But i know the promoters are really trying to give some local bands a shot at the bill.
i was also told that they are thinking about adding a Jam Tent.
So say for example Warren Haynes,Robert Randolph,Victor Wooten and Futureman want to jam they will be able to go to that tent and jam and the festival goers will be able to watch.
Also I know the promoters would like some of the guesting friendly musicians to guest with some of the local bands (song or two)
So maybe Warren Haynes or someone guesting on a song with The Breakfast.

oh I see it was just an example of how a \'two set thing\' works
a "local band, that could do 2 sets one in the afternoon and then late night" was in no way implying the breakfast might fill that spot
the schedule was just made up.
I get it now
thanks for the breakdown.
stupid me.
great call out!
very witty.
anyway good luck with getting the band on the bill justin. hope you can do it. like i said i will def come down if the day and late set thing works out regardless of what other bands are playing.

You just said that you\'ve never heard this band, but their music is garbage.
I mean, we all agree that most pop music is manufactured and dull and the general public has a low standard for music yadda yadda. Nothing newsworthy there. But you\'re not helping by trashing bands that you\'ve never heard.
Here is Paramore as interpreted by the Breakfast 4:20 Players!

No, what I\'m referring to is a band (who I\'ve never heard before) gaining popularity because of their exposure on a video game. Art is art, crap is crap. Lennon and McCartney earned their material wealth by creating masterpieces, which triggered a musical revolution in consciousness and expression. People like Para who, and John Mayer are corporate puppets putting out garbage, which unfortunately due to the general public\'s low standards and lack of exposure to high arts, is popular.

Hey everybody, Joe\'s here. And he brought his high horse.
"Somebody said to me, \'But the Beatles were anti-materialistic.\' That\'s a huge myth. John and I literally used to sit down and say, \'Now, let\'s write a swimming pool.\'" - Sir Paul McCartney
I assume Paul was kidding at least a little bit, but my point is that materialism/commercialism isn\'t new, and it\'s not limited to bands that you don\'t like.

So i dont think the money is a problem with the promoters
Jesus, you get one song on Rock Band and you start making $50,000 an hour. Unbelievable. A couple of computer programming geeks sitting around at Harmonix in Cambridge are now some of the most powerful people in the music biz. Crazy. Good for them.
I wonder what percentage of people who know Paramore first heard of them because of Rock Band? Has to be at least a third.

For all the crap Mayer gets from what I have seen and read he seems like a great guy.
Is pro Taping, was funny as hell on Chappelle, everytime I see him on TMZ or some crap like that he is always busting their balls
The blues stuff he did not too long ago was pretty good as well.
If your festival needs some experienced volunteers / back stage PA folks let me know ;)

And the promoters would only draw 1,000 or so less people. :drew:
And, believe it or not. John Mayer can rip on the guitar. Not to Tim Palmieri levels, but well enough for all normal purposes. Point being, he\'s definitely a good guy for the Breakfast to meet. Hopefully this comes together in some form.

So i was wondering would The Breakfast possibility do it, if asked?
