Doh! I really could use a ride from Carson City. Tuesday night is hard to convince any driving non-believers that it should happen. I should know more by this weekend (cause I don\'t like to spring this **** on people last minute), but as of right now... I ain\'t gots no ride. :(

looks like 30 miles.  PM Leith, maybe he\'ll pick you up.

I\'m actually the one driving.  It\'s myself, Leith, Helluvahat and my GF in a hatchback - basically no room for a 5th.  Most importantly: I am working on the day of the show and we have to speed up to Brahoe (minimum of 3 hours) and also fight off the rush hour traffic leaving the bay, possibly with little time to spare.  gitCHu ONe, I hope there is a wook somwhere in your vicinity who has an affinity for either music or gambling.

Are you going to make it fighting the bay area traffic?

zurflu\'s gaydar will help him navigate the congestion.

H to the mutha fuckin A!

gitCHu ONe.....gitIT DOne....ride your bike to the show.  24 miles.  I know the western shore has some great bike trails, hopefully the eastern side also does.

There are some nice trails, and I\'ve actually contemplated this. err...

I haven\'t seen em play this far north before. I moved here last year from Phoenix and always did the Flag/Tucson/Tempe run with them. I noticed that I missed the last time they came here and vowed to NOT miss it this time. Then I sold my car and thought nothing more about it. I have mentioned this show to my friend here who is a music fan but I don\'t think has been properly introduced to the likings of The Breakfast and/or jam music for that matter... but any musician should see these guys play anyway cause it\'s truly a clinic for all instruments. He said he was down to go but didn\'t want to stay out late because it\'s a "school night". We\'ll see. I\'ll pistol whip him into submission if I have to.

The show will likely run from 10pm - 12am; not too late unless Rufus calls very early the next morning.  24 miles is too close for him to pass up.

I believe we sat in traffic for 4 hours leaving San Fran/Oakland. It was Friday, I believe.

What was it, a holiday weekend or something?

I don\'t think so but it might have been Labor Day weekend. Can\'t say for sure or maybe it was just the wrong place/wrong time.

Are you going to make it fighting the bay area traffic?

Yes, I\'m hoping to leave work between 4-5 and have my bag packed up and waiting at home.  The time Fitz, Buquebus and I drove up there in 2006, I left work at 6pm, got stuck in traffic, waited 40 minutes for a pizza in Sac and barely made it there.  We should be ok, but we are basically going through two commutes: Bay Area and Sacramento - you never know what to expect until we are on the road and heading into the mountains.

When I was out there last September I remember wanting to put a bullet in my head leaving the bay area. I thought I was in the clear than I realized it was God making a joke.

Good luck with getting to the show.
Have you seen them there before?

How far of a ride are you from said destination?

In 2006, the room was pretty quiet during the first set of a raging show, then somewhere in the second set a lot more people filled in.  Likely because the bar is way in the back of the room and a lot of people stick back there for a bit of the show.  The last show in April had quite a good crowd that was really digging the entire show; not sure of the amount but many more than a 100.  2 hundge may be a stretch.  Hard to tell because the room is big and there could be 75 people hanging in the back buying booze.

I\'LL call up my brahs who live in tahoe to see if they can make this little shindig

Definitely make your friends go, especially if they are near the north shore.  The show will likely be over by midnight (they usually get 2 hrs to play at Crystal Bay) and it\'s free - hard to pass up.

Yes, the Crown Room was the place I was thinking of.

Didn\'t even realize it was Tuesday night.

How were the draws the last 2 Crown Room bookings?

Is the Red Room the same room they have been playing in previously?

Past two trips were to the Crown Room - most likely the best room I\'ve ever seen the band play in.

The Red Room is a lot smaller but I can understand not opening the Crown Room for a Tuesday night.  Last two times out there Bfast played on Thurs and Sat nights.
