I mean, what else could these kids have had to do?
I recall kids enjoying parties off campus on halloween.
-
not packed the whole time, apparantly the kidz had a few other options ? def a raging show, I loved the cartoon songs and the hardluck was monstrous. Stoops fuckin tears it up, I hope he sticks around nuff said. the people who stayed were completely owned and wont be the same after that ****. on a sidenote, 1 liter bottles of sam smith for $3.50 was fuckin ser. Nice to meet ya OMS. Klout hope you had a ser time trick or treating ;)
-
Was the place packed or what? I mean, what else could these kids have had to do?

you know what? i hope this show is **** epic and the oberlin kids eat it up. because after what i saw at daniel street last night, all i can say is that the northeast doesn\'t **** deserve the breakfast on halloween. 34 people (and that\'s counting stevie and ellis) in attendance during mooboo\'s on a friday night in connecticut?? **** that. if i were the band i\'d be running west as quickly as possible and never looking back.
take the money and RUN.
1 Set:
Looney Tunes Theme > Beef Barley > The Simpsons Theme > Beef Barley, Popeye The Sailor Man Theme, The Sound, South Park Theme > Hard Luck Harry > Ghost Busters Theme > Metropolis, Sponge Bob Square Pants Theme, Jam > Over Exposure
very fun show. everyone sounded great. nice seeing everyone tonight.
HLH was the highlight for me.
for the opening band i\'d say upwards of 100 people were there and that held for the first half of the breakfast set. people slowly trickled out and by OE probably around 30-40 were still there.
great energy, people were getting down, everyone seemed really into it. glad this worked out.
-
hopefully tonight they bust out Tom and Jerry!

a great band from oberlin is opening. they are playing at 10, bfast at 11.
http://www.myspace.com/thesaucefunk
"The Sauce is an original collective of musicians dedicated to supplying audiences with funky, in-the-pocket grooves that are highly danceable. Their mix of funk, neo-soul, r&b, rock, hip-hop and jazz has audiences getting down at every show they play. "very danceable...undeniably tight"- The Oberlin Review"

yea, so, fitzy and me are going. Now word back from gabbo if he\'s in...
still room if anyone else wants to hitch a ride.
Just having 4-5 enthusiastic .info freaks can help to set the tone at a show out there.
you know the college ladies will not know how old you guys are if you wear the right kind of costume. :)

-
so i gotta wear my raphael costume all the way to ohio?
-
lets do it!!!!

you probably could rent a charter if you got about 50 people willing to throw down about $100 each in advance. Good luck with that though. Would be a blast and a hell of a show of support but I dont see it happening. We did it for a rezi show oneonta to albany once. great times.
i believe the staven express to tobacco road was only 30$, no? i\'m guessing someone lost a lot of money on that, based on your estimate. i would def do that if it went down tho
Yeah, it would probably be that expensive if no one on the board owns/has access to a van/mini van, which I highly doubt.
If there is that commonly avaible transport, I would that 2 tanks of gas each way (at $70 a tank) = 280, divided by 6 people in a minivan = about $45.
Or a carvan of 3-6 smaller cars is possible, with the same average price.

somebody rent a yellow school bus and lets do this thing
-
hopefully it will be OMS who tries it and I can throw it in reverse real quick and ensure nothing like this ever happens again :D
-
nope, bike.
If you are hitching a ride in the Bfast convoy, they should drop you off at the state line and make you bike the rest of the way.

Who is gonna be the one to tag Klout\'s bumper with an Oberlin sticker?
great idea!!

my close friend, the kid who booked them is working on some posters and stuff for promotional purposes. ill get an update on that soonish
-
well the girl I work with who told me about it did say it\'s "The best place on earth!!!" I\'m suprised as many of you know about it. I feel ignorant in my east coast bias now.
-
cedar point is the ****! i doubt i\'ll make it out to this show due to distance and the fact that david byrne is going to be in boston that night, but anyone who is going out that way would be missing out big time if they didn\'t stop at cedar point. i haven\'t been there in years and years but remember it as having some of the best roller coasters i\'ve ever been on.
sidenote: does anyone know some people around the college area to promote? wouldn\'t hurt to start with that soon...
-
yeah cedar point is like the most famous amusement park in the country. definitely check it out, though it may be a bit chilly.
-
ive been to cedar POINT (not park) twice. its awesome...there are like 16 roller coasters there. def worth the trip that time of year because there are practically no lines since the joint closes nov 1st.
-
nope, bike.
And if you believe that, I have several things to sell you.
-
so I found someone to work for me friday which means I\'m off from thursday afternoon > sunday once it gets approved. One step closer to doing the whole run! :hehehe:
One of the girls I work with said anyone going out to Oberlin should hit this place Cedar Point (http://www.cedarpoint.com/) in Sandusky. Sandusky is only 37 miles north west (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=sandusky+ohio&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&resnum=1&ct=title) of Oberlin. Apparently it\'s great for rollercoasters. If it comes to fruition and there is actually any time to do something like this might be cool before/after the show.
are you driving to this show?
(oberlin)
-
cedar point is more than just great for roller coasters.... and sandusky labs made some of the best lsd ever.... i\'ve always figured there was a direct correlation....

one dooze and suddenly Oberlin is a great idea.
wow.
yea **** the rest of the country. why doesnt the breakfast play CT more? They should really only play in CT until every single person in the state has seen them at least 10 times.

Sad, very sad. I agree with Dave also. I\'ve been around the band for a few years now and I\'ve seen a good number of shows and last night was by far the worst attended CT. show I\'ve ever been too.
unfortunately, unless your sellin headdie burritos on lot, I think some people can\'t afford to go to every show every weekend in the same 250 mile radius.
I, also unfortunately, only work evening shifts, hindering my show attendence.
and I\'ve already been quoted as saying if the breakfast only played 4 shows in ct in a year i would be at every one of them.

If they get a good crowd at Oberlin, than I\'m much happier to see new face ownage instead of playing to the same bunch who already know they **** rage AND LOOK FORWARD TO THIS NIGHT EVERY YEAR.
