There was house FOB video and SBD audio. Got the guys card.

One of, if not the best show I have seen this year.

Show was probably somewhere in the 100-110 minute range

Whole set was just lettin it all hang out to the fullest

SER nannies after the show including break dancing competition, reba>the message, bug, tweeprise>OE and a mash up of about 50 other tunes in the vip tent. Good times. hoping to do both shows next weekend after last night.

Attendance = Dooze.  But, those who were there stayed all night, though, and I saw lots of people in neighborhood homes sitting on their front porch enjoying the tunes too!

Songs:  Klouot had a running setlist, but from my weak memory, they included:

Beef Barley, Tube ...(? - Phish cover), Mayfly Disarray, And She Was, + a few other songs that I don\'t remember! :)

Is anybody on text message patrol for setlist/attendance? I know that I\'m severely jumping the gun (band could still be playing, as far as I know) but I\'m always curious about festivals, as the newb potential is huge.

Info: Evans Ink & J Dub Allstars present The Hop Bottom Arts & Music Festival Friday, July 18th and Saturday, July 19th http://www.hopbottomartsandmusicfestival.com In 2007, The Hop Bottom Arts and Music Festival drew over 1,500 people to the historic Northeastern Pennsylvania mountain community. Attendees traveled far and wide to experience the festival\'s eclectic mix of top local artists and world class touring acts from around the globe. In addition to quality entertainment, the festival also featured regional artisans and notable food vendors providing culinary delights. Last year?s festival proved to be a great time for both families and music fans alike. The 2008 Hop Bottom Arts and Music Festival kicks off Friday evening (July 18) at 4pm with "Barn Dance East," an acoustic jam hosted by Austin Texas\' Leeann Atherton (http://www.fullmoonbarndance.com). Leeann will be joined by her Russian counterpart Zhenya (Former Red Elvises guitarist/singer). ?Barn Dance East,? as it is billed, will be full of surprises and is not to be missed. Jammy award winner, national touring act and festival mainstay, The Breakfast (CT) (http://www.thebreakfast.net), cap off Friday nights entertainment. National recording artist and Timmy Award winning singer, Danny Nova (NJ) (http://www.dannynova.com) will perform on Saturday night (July 19). Danny has been a supporting act for music legends such as Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dave Mason (Traffic, Fleetwood Mac) and Nazareth, to name a few. The rest of Saturday?s musical performances are an eclectic mix of Bluegrass, Country, and Rock. Notable acts include Cabinet (PA), Marc Silver and the Stonethowers (PA) and Grammar Debate! (PA) In addition to the fantastic music, the festival is proud to offer: ? Great food from local vendors ? The Hop Bottom Hose Company?s famous Chicken BBQ ? A Classic Car Cruise-In ? ~Danny Nova to kick it up a notch!~
Much to our surprise Danny Nova will be performing with a group of musicians with some very notable credentials. Known for having a special panache in his original delivery, Nova\'s presence on stage conveys an up close and personal relationship with adoring crowds and devout listeners. This year at Hop Bottom Danny will be accompanied by Muddy Shews former bassist of South Side Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Walter King former drummer of Bobby Brown, Percussionist Kevin Macintosh former drummer of George Clinton\'s Parliament Funkadelic, and renowned percussionist from Africa, Sheik. This high spirited, whimsical acoustic ensemble of world class percussive and rhythm section players, engage in playful antics and interaction with Nova, uplifting the spirits of even the hardest to please concert enthusiasts.
So get your dancing shoes on ladies and gentlemen. The Hop Bottom Arts & Music Festival is just around the corner. We hope you take full advantage of all it has to offer.
Have fun and safe travels!

Title: Hey all This is J dub, I put on the Hop Bottom fest
Post by: JdubHopBottom on June 26, 2008, 10:06:39 pm
Yeah, This is going to be a good time.  I\'ve been friends with the band for years, I design merch, cd covers and posters for them and they played HBAAMF last year for me as well.  this year its going to be alot of fun, its well organized and we have some really great acts like cabinet (just got of tour with railroad earth) and grammar debate! (think velvet underground)

The people of Hop Bottom have been kind enough to let us do this party again this year, it is in the middle of a small NE PA mountain town and in the day will be somewhat of a family event hence the rollie polie guacamole band :),  they are a kids band. The pony rides and such are for the familys in the area that really do not care about the music, we have to have stuff for the locals to keep them happy and into supporting the event.  this event will have a family vibe in the day and there will be a good old party scene at night. (all of us putting this event on have been around the block more than once and we like to have a good time too) There are also fireworks and about 20 or so venders with some real cool stuff.

$10 for 2 day or $7 single day,  I know camp bisco is going on that weekend but this is a real budget alternative because we all know money is tight right now.  I encourage everyone to support the vendors and buy their stuff and come and have a good time if you just can\'t afford bisco.

a couple of rules.  no coolers, Respect the neighbors and the community and have a good time.  I am the head of security and I\'ve got 200+ grateful dead and Phish shows under my belt so believe me everthing you do at the fest is cool with me as long as no one gets out of control and I know you all know what I mean ;).  Pretty much do what you want but Keep it cool.

there is camping about 1/2 mile away from the fest site

please feel free to visit http://www.hopbottomartsandmusicfestival.com for camping, ticket info and to listen to the bands that are playing

everything booked I think is top shelf stuff and promises to be fun for all.

hope you can all make it if you are not going to Bisco and I hope this is the start of a yearly event that gets bigger everytime we do it,  Its twice as big as last year as it is.

we are still looking to add vendors like artsy craft types of stuff and we are looking for volunteers to help out as well.  If you are interested in any of that email me at john_e_warner@yahoo.com

take care and I hope to meet some of you

also if anyone is interested check out
http://www.evansink.net and http://www.jduballstars.com, I\'ve been doing art for the band since like 2000 and alot of that stuff is on the sites

thanks

From their website (strange gig indeed):

(https://thebreakfast.info/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hopbottomartsandmusicfestival.com%2Fhome%2Fimages%2Fpony.jpg&hash=4bad3dc16fa88d7b470c0f5934f473c9fc685c3b)

Al and Mike should probably go.
