Jeez you\'re really fond of your pets eh?

Don\'t get me wrong I love all my animals, but sometimes they get to be too much between food, vet bills, emotional roller coaster etc....

chinese restaurant is always a good option.

Or Vietnamese.  A Wall St. Journal article mentioned that 95% of the Vietnamese population eats rats.

Asians will eat anything; bowl full of pig blood, rats, frogs..........

Gummo reference?

Nope.  Just my observations.  A majority of the people I work with are Asian and they tell me all about the stuff they eat (I also shop occasionally at a Chinese market and some of the stuff is interesting to say the least).

Yeahhh....I\'ve kinda gotten that idea...but it was worth the shot.  I guess I\'m stuck with the little **** till they die.  Unless they \'accidentally\' escape from the cage and my cats find them....

I think they are cute. but rats always have really big nasty balls. I feel like that would be more gross on a hairless one. eek.

good luck

Ha ha, that\'s too funny.  My best friend said the same thing.  To tell you the truth I had no idea what possessed me to buy them.  It was one of those if I don\'t buy them no one else would moments....

Return them to their mother, \'cause only a mother could love something that ugly. ;)

The one in the corner is Cairo and the one at the food bowl is Nike.  They are so ugly they\'re cute.  I used to have a rat with hair but he passed away last week.

Yeah I was just about to offer to take them if she was in a jam, but then I realized they were hairless. I like things to be warm and fuzzy, or cold and slithery, but not in between. It\'s a mental thing I don\'t know if I can get past.

Good luck finding them homes though! I\'m sure you will find someone; rats actually make pretty great pets.

I\'m reading this post and you\'re almost selling me on Rats as Pets (not for me... but for a person crazy enough to have a **** load of pets).  Then this statement comes out:

 Oh yeah, and they\'re hairless

And things just got to ludicrous, so I\'m going with:

my first thought when reading the thread title...

have you considered letting your rats go free like the rest of the rats in the world?? (just kidding..well, kind of). best of luck with all of your animals. i hope you find them good homes...even the rats.

fantastic song by the slip.

My daughter\'s snake could probably handle a rat. We\'d have to freeze them first though. He likes his meals chilled.

Hello there!! I know I don\'t post much but I\'m in a bit of a pickle.  I\'ve come to the conclusion that I can\'t afford all the pets I have...12 (5 cats, 2 rats, 2 cockatiels, 1 parakeet, 1 hamster and a dog) at my last count. I need to start cutting down (which I seem to be doing a pretty good job at...In the last month I\'ve lost (died) a parakeet, a rat and just today my rabbit).
So I\'m giving away my rats. I know what alot of people are thinking, "EW RATS!?" They actually make really great pets. The two guys I\'m giving away are great (Cairo and Nike). Cairo is really outgoing and loves attention. Nike is a little shy but he warms up quickly.... They LOVE popcorn.
I really hate to have to give them up but I can\'t afford them (and to tell you the truth I\'m a little afraid I\'m going to kill them given some time). So if anyone out there in Breakfast land is interested let me know (or knows anyone who wants two rats). They come with a free cage, toys, waterbottles, food bowls, food etc.... They really are great pets.  Oh yeah, and they\'re hairless...which means people with allergies...won\'t be allergic!!!
If your interested leave me a message on here, or you can email me at                    IrishGirl36@sbcglobal.net
