After seeing a bunch of tDB shows outside of the NE/Philly area(ech, JotR was DIRTY!)...I can tell you that it is really only the NE Biscuit scene that is like that. On the 5 night SE run I just did in April...I probably had the best time I have ever had out of 110+ shows. Same thing with the Southern Run I did last Fall(NC->VA). People are still F\'ed up(they are a jamband)...but it was definitely an older(21-30+) crowd that seemed to be able to handle their ****.
It was really shocking to see that scene in Philly again...I never noticed before. Not to say I won\'t come home for NE runs;), but it was a shock. I am excited for the outdoor Raleigh show Sunday and then the throwdown w/ BioDiesel & Orchard Lounge in VA on Monday.
Have fun in HOTford(it is already 101degrees down here!!!), they usually tear it up there.

thanks fitzy, dave already got it. Didn\'t even know about the cj sparrow show. still up in the air for me though. As great as tim is, I think I could do more good for the band flyering a packed webster over cj sparrows.

they are certainly a different breed.... not sure where they all come from to be honest.
i have to admit, last year at camp, i had an absolute blast and i thought the people are fantastic (exception: the dead guy getting driven to the medic tent with a fentanyl patch in his mouth)...
its just they way they pack \'em on into the webster... you really can\'t walk through the venue... it took me 20 minutes just to get to the bathroom last time.... that can\'t be safe!

it was through my phone so the sound was kind of bad. the band is called As I Lay Dieing...... pretty good **** band my cousin got me to go to. i used to be pretty into the whole **** scene but i recent years it hasn\'t been about the community (yes there is a community within the **** scene) to many people out to start a fight or take things to personally. I\'ve branched off to enjoy some other musical scenes in the last 10-15 years but boy do i miss going to serious shows.

some good points. Nothing against the breakfast, gtb, project/object or a dozen other bands I\'ve seen with doozie >100 crowds there, but the webster only starts to sound good when it\'s full... That said you just reminded me of how much the place sucks when it is packed (trying to move during the porcupine tree show=:banghead:). Still, I either only saw disco once or not at all if I\'m thinking of some other band... Def remember seeing a non-breakfast trancy jam band that was packed back in 03/04 at the webster but I don\'t remember who it was. Maybe I\'ll just do some toads promo.

All true, but it is hard to turn down a Biscuits show in your own backyard. If this was in Sayreville I wouldn\'t even think twice about it, but it is SO close.
This band is about as inconsistent as it gets, but it is the first time they have played the Webster in 4 years and except for one show, they have all been spectacular performances...PLUS we get Orchard Lounge.
