is it totally too late to do this? ive done a lot of work for bands, flyers, album art etc including my own... im quite good with photoshop. i saw that zone 1 wasnt on itunes yet so if its not too late i can have one done by... tomorrow or thursday night.

Yes, when are we ever going to get the chance to get copies of PB? My copy from Al (band website was ALWAYS out-of-stock) skips like hell and really needs replacing, though I would much prefer a lossless version.
I believe PB is on itunes now.

Tim - I\'m not knocking the idea, in fact, I think that it might be worth looking into putting all the studio albums and designated shows on iTunes. I know that I\'d buy the first album, having lost it in the move to NJ.

This one gets my vote. nicely done.
I like this one a lot too, although I think the font and color are not quite right with the image.

i totally dig the dw photo on page 1.i think it goes with the music. jim i htink your photo would be perfect for the (i\'m assuming there will be a ) new album.

I\'ve made a bunch of Zone 1 discs so far but don\'t plan on making the front/back covers until a design is picked. Any idea when this is going to be done? I don\'t think I\'d have enough time to finish this up before Sterling Stage but I can drop them off at the merch table at the Electric Company shows.

How about either putting the band name and title in the sign, a logo in the sign, or a photo of the band (PB era) in the sign? Perhaps touching it up in photoshop to look aged.
As for compensation, how about free shows for life? :P

The first batch of Jim\'s take is WAY more professional looking.. I think the other font is kind of cheesy, almost high school media tech-ish. I say #2 from the first batch. It\'s.... polished.

More the merrier everyone - its still a release and represents a period in time. people can buy it if they want, or not. being available will not hurt the band, in fact, it will make money for the band. what is wrong with that? have fun creating everybody! i look forward to seeing some designs. peace

agreed, lets release a newer live album with the current lineup. there are PLENTY of incredible jams they have done so far...

the jams are relatively tasteful and the sound quality is of course phenomenal but it lacks the current sound, intensity, diversity, type II jamming, and through the roof peak outs, among other things.
Basically its just a really poor representation of what you would actually hear if you went to a breakfast show tomorrow.
Its a nice treat for long time fans but as far as getting the music out there and turning on new fans to what this band is all about these days its pretty bunk.

If the band is now putting this on itunes shouldn\'t they now foot the bill for more physical copies at their merch table?
I am all for fans helping the band out in anyway as most know but it seems to me if they want to be seen as legit then act legit and don\'t depend on the kindness of your fanbase to make product for you to sell.

Nice! I meant to ask them at the Mercury Lounge but spaced on it. I have tons of promo materials left so I\'ll get started on them this week.
I\'ll upload the cover I\'ve been using when I get to work tomorrow. I don\'t think I have it on my home computer.

typical dimensions for a cd cover (front) are 4.75" x 4.75". back is usually 5.8" x 4.625". i\'m not sure if they\'re looking for front and back or just front. i\'ll ask tim.

so the band needs cover art for Zone 1 for iTunes. if anyone feels like making a cover, please submit it in this thread within the next week. the band will choose the one they like best, and use it on iTunes.
