CT Food Bank is able to receive discounted food from local vendors. They\'ve said it\'s actually better to donate $$ rather than food since they can provide more food for families using their discounts.
edit:If you can\'t make it to the show, and still want to help out a great cause, visit the Breakfast\'s "Virtual Food Drive" (http://vad.aidmatrix.org/vadxml.cfm?driveid=2658) website - you can shop for specific items that are in high demand by local food pantries and shelters.

There will also be a lock box for cash donations to benefit the CT Food Bank, for those interested in supporting this worthwhile cause. $1 provides 3 meals to a family, while $5 provides 18 nutritious meals!!!
Summer is one of the most difficult times for families, since children are back at home. During the school year, the state can provide healthy, free breakfast and lunch for students. However, when they are at home, most children in impoverished conditions will often skip meals, or eat very small amount of food. This is so unhealthy for their growing bodies! CT FoodBank truly hopes you will attend this food drive and help out a worthy cause! Thanks for your help in ending hunger.

I think that is the band Ellis and Chris said would be good.Based on the listing of the band order, they might not be right before the band. Might want to show up by 9:30 the latest in order to see them.

Personally I am bummed, but the two bands will be playing a show together at River Street later this summer.
so will there be another opener in place of indobox? if so, may i suggest the band consider the source? as some of you on this board know,these guys are ridiculous. and i just checked, and they don\'t have a gig that night. let me know if anyone wants me to help coordinate this. just an idea.

If you plan on attending this show, please start saving food now - think about how you can help... if you get a buy 1 get 1 free, give away the "free" one. Or, if you buy 2 for $... consider giving away one that you don\'t need!
