So on dates where it shows STS9 after-party, I assume STS9 is ?ONLY? playing an after party? For example, 7.19 Chicago-- does Tribe play a set at Charter One before Umph, then play after Umph at HOB too? Or do they just play at HOB and Umph solo at Charter One?
I believe this question has many possible answers/outcomes. From my understanding umph and sts9 will be playing at the charter one and "ironically" because Umph is from Chicago sts9 is playing the after party. My educated guess would be that Umph will be at HOB with sts9 and will no doubt make an appearance.
I also believe that I must read all posts when trying to answer someones question because the question I have just answered was already answered.

It really is sad.

Gotta love how a $24.50 ticket costs $36.25. :sigh:
How can they justify a 48% premium for ticket servicing? M-O-N-O-P-O-L-Y: there is only one provider of tickets for a show and they can do whatever the f they want. Sucks for the consumer.
I really wish some other ticket providers would gain more of the market from Ticketfucker.
i haaaaaaaatttteeee ticketmaster. i try never to go through them if possible. and if that means getting shut out of a show (like i did for the last UM show at nokia in nyc b/c i refused to buy early....) then so be it! fuckers.

LiveNation will be selling tickets for this show, but they don\'t go on sale until 4/19. Who knows what allotment they received and also what their service fee will be. Oh, and $5 per ticket is a facilities fee, which goes right to the venue.
Live Nation IS Ticketmaster. If Ticketmaster (or livenation) owns the venue, the "facilities fee" is just going to ticketmaster.
Sorry for the hijack. I hope UM opens with bright lights big city. there. back on topic.
Live Nation is a client of TM. They are not the same. Live Nation\'s charges may even be more than TM\'s due to this.

used to love both bands, now can\'t really stand either.
i think i feel the exact opposite of leith... it used to be fun to see STS9 in a little packed club where everyone was rolling (or at least i was) and dancing and sweating their balls off.
once they transitioned to small theatres, the show lost its appeal and the band seemed miles away.

Bank of America Pavilion in Boston is yet another Ticketmaster-owned venue, just like the Paradise is now too. There\'s no getting around it. Welcome to showgoing in the 21st century.

Big Umph fan, haven\'t ever gotten into STS9. Great time to buy tickets though...just got 2 seventh row centers to Boston today.
how much were the two?
After all the fees they were $72.50 for the pair, I guess that\'s 36.25 each. Oof. Thanks for making me think about it, lol.

huge UM fan, love seeing STS9...already got my nyc roseland ticket as well as the late night STS9 ticket. cant wait

Just can\'t get into UM but I could care less because they make my ears hurt.
STS9 puts on a really good show. I\'ve been seeing them since the late 90s, back when they were less untz-untzy and were a four piece that went by the name Sector 9. It was cool to see them evolve into the band they are now, by adding in the laptops and second percussionist. First time I saw them was All Good \'99 and they were the first band to go on Saturday afternoon but they still put on one of the better shows that weekend. They play Water St. in Rochester every once in a while. That\'s pretty much the extent of me seeing them now.

love umph, dont really like sts9

love sts9 and can\'t stand umph. it seems like quite afew people feel that way on both sides. may goto the boston show, that would be sick to see sts9 next to the water...

I know these bands are not on everyone\'s list of bands to see but I think the fact that some of these dates are in Sheds and larger venues like in Boston is pretty damn cool.
I am stoked to be seeing the upcoming bands in the "jamscene" getting big enough to attempt things like this and the Big Summer Classic in the past.
I would go to at least one just for the atmosphere that you only get in big venues.
