And thank you, Todd! For giving me the good advice that is now gettin me out of a jam. I gotta be out Saturday, but the new place isn\'t ready for us to move into quite yet, so the PODS box is now going to be the home of my personal belongings for the next week or so...
It\'s a little pricey and it took a while to talk to the dude on the phone, but, they bring the box right to my house, I load it up and lock it, they pick it up tomorrow, hold on it to it until I call them and say, "Yo, bring me my box back, foo!" and they drop it of at the new address. Pretty convenient!!
I guess I should have know that the oldest guy on the board would give me the wisest, sagest advice! Thanks again Todd, you dirty old tickler!!

that\'s the idea... i spent a lot of the time on the phone explaining the dimensions of our house/driveway/where we could put the pod, and he kept saying "Aw, these drivers are great, they\'ll get it wherever you need it". They\'ll be here tomorrow hopefully very early....

Anyone else going to the free moe show in Rochester tonight? I haven\'t seen them since late night bonnaroo 2002 (almost 6 years to the day). Hopefully they play meat or Jazz Wank.

Ok, so this is how this is shaping up for me:
I think I\'ve found someone that will give me a pretty good deal on a colony of david the gnomes and three dwarves to move my stuff down the street to my new place while i hitch a ride on a helicopter dangling for dear life off bottom, hooked with my grandfathers pitching wedge. If i make it to utica, I\'ll certainly be trying to find a ride back....

I think flyers are a fantastic idea. But, my experience has been that moe. after shows seem to always have a great crowd. And there is always one at the E. Co. people know that. I would def. pick up my ticket before you head over to the moe. show if attending. Usually a very long line.

what happened was.......gencs tripped down the stairs and hit his head. the DEP and the EPA met with the DEA and their decision is still forthcoming. while certainly toxic....there was nothing nuclear coming from steves noggin.

11:48 a.m. - Matt: Canning operation lost
F.X. Matt Brewing Company President Nicholas Matt has just concluded a press conference with reporters to discuss last night\'s fire that destroyed their canning operation.
"I would like to start by thanking the community for what we all feel has been a tremendous outreach," Matt said. "An outreach from people who drink our beer, from government officials, from other businesses offering to help, friends, and of course our employees who have been tremendous in this whole thing, worked extra hours, done whatever they could to help."
Among the issues he discussed was the need to outsource their canning capabilities in the immediate future.
"We will get it packaged one way or another," Matt said. "I assure you."
He also said that they do not expect any shortage in their beer supply because no beer was lost in the fire.
He anticipates Saranac Thursday will continue as scheduled.
"I hope to see all of you next Thursday," he said.

^ really. the tabernacle in atlanta sustained heavy damage in the tornado that hit the city earlier this year. music venues are going down one by one!
the fx matt brewery staff had a meeting this AM at 9:00 to discuss things...it also sounds like there is still smoke coming from the building after the fire was fought for 14.5 hours but is under control, and the firefighters might have to put out hot spots for a few days.
2 employees went to the hospital from smoke inhalation, but should be ok.

Fire blazes at Saranac brewery

UTICA, N.Y. - Fire officials began an investigation of the cause of a smoky fire at F.X. Matt brewery, maker of Saranac beer and ale, as four fire companies battled flames in the brick building and residents were evacuated from a six-block area Thursday evening.
Utica Fire Chief Russell Brooks said the only injuries were to two brewery employees who were in satisfactory condition at a city hospital where they were treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire began around 4:45 p.m., shortly after the start of the Saranac Thursday music event as flames erupted from the part of the brewery right behind the concert stage. The event was canceled and the venue evacuated. As of 8:30 p.m., the fire still wasn\'t under control, Brooks said.
Meghan Fraser, marketing coordinator for the brewery, said the fire was in a building involved in processing and canning and a lot of smoke was coming from packaging and plastic. She said everyone was evacuated.
Fred Matt, vice president of the brewery, told the Utica Observer-Dispatch that two employees had smoke inhalation issues but everyone got out safely. He said the fire could have a serious impact on business because the building houses the brewery\'s canning operations.
Fire Marshal Raymond Beck said investigators were interviewing people in the area but were uncertain when they\'d be able to inspect the building because of the potential of collapse. Large cracks were visible in the four-story structure.
Beck said it\'s believed that the fire started on the second floor at a machine that puts plastic around six-packs. He said the roof and third floor collapsed.
"There\'s a high potential the bottle building will be a total loss," Beck said. "Everything has been shut down at this time."
The New Hartford, Whitesboro, New York Mills and Utica fire departments were on the scene.
"We will rebuild. We\'ve been in business 120 years," Matt said. "This is a speed bump."
Mayor David Roefaro said he was preparing a proclamation commemorating the 10th year of Saranac beer when the fire broke out. He said he spoke to Gov. David Paterson about the fire and the governor told him the state will help out with economic development aid or whatever was needed.
Common Councilman Jim Zecca said the brewery is a cornerstone of the city, and the fire was a disaster for the community.
"It\'s a beautiful facility, and it looks like it\'s going to be a total loss, from what I can see," Zecca said. "I hope they\'re going to rebuild and move on from this."
Daniel Gundersen, upstate chairman of Empire State Development Corp., said the Matt brewery is a long-standing Mohawk Valley employer and producer of an "iconic brand."
"We have alerted Gov. Paterson of this tragic event and will be reaching out to this venerable organization to offer our support in helping them rebuild and reclaim their place as one of the country\'s outstanding specialty brewers," Gundersen said.

funny you say that, but just the other day i was thinking of promo ideas and thought it would be a good idea to get the breakfast crew together after moe w/ maybe three signs that say "the breakfast" "official afterparty" and "follow us" and we could march over -- maybe with kazoos just to be even more obvious. but... i unfortunately will not be able to pull this together b/c i\'m coming straight up for the sat show after being in cali for a week. worthless, i tell ya! :)

Crescendo just changed the date for this show...... they have 6/13 and 14 listed now (post-moe.). If that\'s true that\'s great news! They still have the Danbury date for 6/14 up though, and The Electric Company\'s home page and Myspace page have nothing listed for The Breakfast. Anyone know what\'s up with this?
Also I see a new Donegal Saloon date on 7/25..... more great news!!! :)
