Yeah, I agree. I think sour mix has no place in a real margarita. And I think as far as the Cointreau, Grand Marnier goes... You only need one of these (they\'re both a blend of bitter and sweet orange, right?) But I suppose if you prefer both you still would have a delicious margarita.

I\'m sure they\'re good with a bit of blood orange juice in there too.

If you don\'t have Grand Marnier why not just make it 1 oz. of Cointreau? It\'s pretty much triple sec prime.

not sprite, but this is what I\'m drinking tonight:

Blood Orange Margarita
 
1/2 cup blood orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice (1 lemon)
1 cup Triple Sec
3 cups ice
1 cup white tequila

Combine the blood orange juice, lemon juice, Triple Sec, and ice in a blender and puree until completely blended. Add the tequila and puree for 2 seconds more.

Hah!  Just got 4 free top shelf margaritas at a Mexican restaurant up the street.  Pretty much a VIP up there when a certain server is working.  Got a dang tequila headache now.
