leith, if you read this...i have a friend coming down from san fransisco...hes lived there for about 6 months now, and prior to that grew up in albany with me. I described you as man in his mid-late 30\'s, longish light brown hair, skinny, and probably wearing a grateful dead or some other tie-dye shirt. he will approach you saying that he knows me. hes a good guy, name is mike...give him a friendly west coast welcome.
I don\'t think Leith was planning on making the trip.

Your info is misleading. Al\'s is more like it. This place has a small wooden stage in the back patio area but folks in the entire restuarant should be able to enjoy the music.

The Crepe Place has been a local institution since long before I came
here (I\'ve been here now over 20 years!) I\'ve always assumed the
restaurant dated from the late 70s or early 80s when crepes were the
thing. I haven\'t been in years but my memory is a restaurant with lots
of dark wood and excellent crepes. It may have changed but I think
crepes are still the main menu item.
I think it\'s funny that the breakfast is playing at crepe place.
does the dinner play at the steak place?

Very cool on the inside, though a bit prunish on the outside.
She can drink gunieness with the best of them.
That\'s because Guinness has less alcohol content than any other beer almost anywhere.. Does she like tequila?

It is a small small place and I am very surprised they got booked here. The place is more set up for acoustic shows.
btw- This place looks like they have fantastic food! :drool:

I\'m pretty sure Crystal Bay did not have in-house light/sound guys back in 2006. 2006 Breakwest tour alumni, please correct me if I\'m wrong.
i\'ve been told great things about the CB light rig. if i\'m able to run it, i will probably do so.
Yes Crystal Bay has in house audio/lighting but when the guys were there last the inhouse guys got the day off.
If Upstate is not there I suggest Dave you just enjoy the show and let the in house guy run the rig. I am not saying you cannot do it but Movers are a bit more work than just moving a fader up and down.

As great as that sounds, I\'m sad to admit I was hoping to be bouncing around with a drunk, raucous Devo up front (think June 2007 Wheelhouse photos).

This show should be good, but I\'m more prepared to say "Holy Crepe!" @ Crystal Bay, given the toys Ellis, Dobz and the boys get to play with!

I believe the aggregate space of the venue to be closer to what you list, however:
Their website lists the "front room" where PB is playing as 45, though the patio is listed as 125 and 50 for "the Atrium". Either way, I hope the spaces aren\'t sanctioned off much and the music can be enjoyed from all points. Otherwise, the front room is gonna make Cafe Nine feel colossal.
