I swear there is a common note/bar/whatever (i\'m not music) between somewhere in china chat/i know you rider and a song on crown of creation.

whats that got to do with the price of rice in China?

a guitar:
5 octaves (normal tunic EADGBe)
12 notes (western scale)
22 frets x 6 strings=132 notes
mininum 2 notes to a chord=17,424 chords

a "riff"=usually 2 bars in length
2 bars (common time)=
2 whole notes
4 half notes
8 quartrer notes
16 8th notes
32 16th notes
64 32nd notes
128 64th notes

doesn\'t account for scale, mode, key, odd time, tuplet, or any other instrument except 1 guitar. point being, there are plenty of options and it has not "all been done"

nice work...took me a while to figure your math out...but it makes sense

plus, thats assuming a "riff" is only 2 bars

I doubt it was intentional but that still sucks. Nothing worse than feeling really good about a riff you just wrote only to find out it\'s from another song.

Who are these umelt fans you speak of?

i dont know umelts music well at all, ive only seen them 2 times (and one was only becuase they played with the breakfast), and i still noticed it immediately.  schizophrenia is probably u-melts most popular song, if you look on LMA it appears very freqently.

if they play together again, the umelt fans will probably just think its a schizophrenia tease and respond very positively to it.

I thought this was the case the first time i herad this song, but i recently just confirmed it.  The part in right after the guys sing waaaooowaaaoooowaaaooo (see 3:35 on the jersey show from this past friday) is almost identical to the main riff in u-melt\'s song "schizophrenia," which is one of, if not their most popular song.  If you find it on a LMA recording, youll immediately understand what im talking about...they play it almost right from the start and many times throughout the song.
