cuz it\'s all about me, and what i want.
-
What you don\'t speak Degobah?
-
Oh jeez. I didn\'t even notice the words are jumbled. Only noticed the NEEDS part.
Smartass.
-
what did it say before?
now its all **** up
-
 it it\'s fixed alright.
-
Thank you (Dave or Paul I am assuming) for the fix.
-
I never noticed.
-
For the love of God would someone PLEASE change the title of this thread to "Festivals the Band NEEDS to Play"!?!?!? I can\'t stand looking at it anymore! The fact that the incorrect word is also in capitals really rubs it in.
-
They need to play moe.down this year
and not in the beer tent unless it is a sit in with the podz or the brew.. I\'m talking full on main stage... oh and a band switch couldn\'t hurt... jazz wank>buster>buquebus>buster>jazz wank.. yah d00d:inky:

How do we help get the breakfast to play the Vibes this year and on a main stage?

Thanx.

it\'s comparable to moe down in size and camping style but with good deal more distance between the stage and the first campsites. it\'s not like bonnaroo or anything tho. 5-15 minute walk to the stage from pretty much anywhere on the grounds.
really? the pictures make it look like a lot more people. I\'m thinking about going to meet some friends there and the size is what is gonna make the difference for me.
Did anybody go last year, and have a estimate on the amount of people there? were the bathrooms "somewhat" clean at times? Thanks!
I went to All Good in \'06. I am pretty sure it maxes out at 20,000 people, but I am unsure if they hit that number regularly. Couldn\'t tell you much about the bathrooms, being that there is a lot of woods around the entire place. I didn\'t get any ticks the whole weekend.
the scene is a little sketchy but nothing too bad really. I\'ve heard talk about people with guns around the nitrous tanks at years past but I generally avoid that **** so I can\'t confirm it. The views can also be quite astonishing, and the fog is pretty cool too.
Thinking about going this year but not really sure. If the Breakfast, Primus, or Ween were involved I would be there in a heartbeat.
I\'m on board for All Good this year.

At least the fests they will be at the folk absolutely LOVE them!

The over/under on festivals to be played is now at 5 and they will be small ones that only people in that region even know about.
Cause something is better than nothing baby
And you got it all on your plate

Am I the only person that thinks that you have to cut the band a little slack this summer. It\'s been a year of growth with two new band members. And let me ask this - when was the last time that the band debuted 7 new originals and played 38 shows in 17 different states in a 5 month span? Well, it\'s been a long time. I\'m sure that they\'ll end up doing a couple festivals. Enough said.
-
Well, its that time of year again...Relix just rolled out with all the festival promo and advertisments, and sure enough, not a Breakfast to be found.. well, as we say around here, \'theres always next summer\'.
This is not intended to be directed at the band in a negative way, only mentioning it because its frustrating that they cant be booked or arent on ANY of these great opportunities. Hopefully the new line up will turn some heads, the band picks up more steam, and we dont go through this again.
Being a Cub fan my whole life I must say it sucks to be on another "wait \'til next year" team.
You should be okay with directing it towards the band in a negative way.

hi frofler. camp creek would rage. are u driving from ithaca to canton?
I hope so. It is up in the air right now. I caught the OM Trio up at the Java Barn a couple of years ago and I liked the room. Very intimate. The boys are going to blow the roof off of that place. I am not going to know about Canton for sure until closer to the date, unfortunately. Not too bad of a drive, just a sure shot up 81.

side note- Reel time, World Needs Us, Rush, and synergy are gonna rip up the big stages this summer.
add tunage, Eppy 3, eshers 3+4, and TLATG>OE to the mix...fugetabout it!
-
hi frofler. camp creek would rage. are u driving from ithaca to canton?
DO IT! Or else I might be the only one at the show. Let\'s give them a proper Upstate sendoff before the Mid-West/West Coast tour begins.

I would like to see the band play Camp Creek in the Albany area, late July. My two favorite bands on the same bill makes me downright giddy! Looking forward to Canton!

does anybody know about how many people go to All Good? or what is camping like, are you semi close to the stage?
-
rothbury is $250. jeeze

The answer is simple. M-I-C, K-E-Y...
:duck:
-
arg. i really want to know which ones the breakfast will be playing. I wanna go to one where they are, but i also wanna get the early bird discount. How come we have to wait untill a week before the festival before there is any rumor or anything.

10,000 lakes.
and maybe actually on a friday or saturday night... I mean the past two years have been great exposure, and they were able to pack the **** out of the barn ("firemarshall\'s nightmare") and playing in front of two thousand p33ps is great and all.... I guess I\'m trying to say they def. deserve a fatty latenight mainstage slot for sure
Buuttt... if they do play 10kl, then that\'ll eat up my trip time and i might not be able to drive to fairbanks.

Yeah 15th tier local jambands!! WOOOHOOOOOOO!!
if she saw them at Moedown and thought they were \'GREAT\', why wouldnt they be considered for the mountain jam fest when they create a line up? especially since theyd (Breakfast) probably be affordable and just trying to get the new line up some visibility. The reason= Booking agent/management.
Hey Jonathan!! Yes- the breakfast is GREAT- I first saw them at MoeDown
a
few years back and they rocked!! Unfortunately, we didn\'t have any
extra
room on the bill this year- but there\'s always next year! See ya on
the
Mountain!

..and cant wait for that matter, for Mountain Jam 08,
i was just at the Breakfast show at the Wheelhouse in
Rhode Island as well as their acoustic Sunday show in
Milford, Ct. and am literally resting my jaw from all
the dropping and smiling these guys create. I think
theyre a powerhouse yet still under the radar and it
would be great to hear them get a buzz goin around
your festival. There would be a strong crew of loyals
that would easily be going from the New England area.
thanks for everything and giving us something to look
forward to! see ya 5/30! Jonathan
Drop the zeros and get with the Heroes!!

all the small upstate red neck NY local festivals like grand ma joans spring fling scotty palooza pulaski and mother fuckin echo lake harvest fest lol they rage the hardest

Rothbury Festival. the world needs us could be the theme song...
that does look like a cool fest. I cant wait to see which ones the breakfast gets booked onto. thats a big factor in which one i will be attending.

They need to play Captain Nicks on BI again on June 6th and 7th. I am getting married on the beach of BI that weekend!!
I hate funerals.
SummerCamp would be huge for their Midwest endeavors. If they got a slot, even a short set, in the barn late-night, they\'d start selling out small Chicago clubs/bars and perhaps move into theaters within a few years. They need to be heard late night at a festival by an unsuspecting, slightly drugged-out summer festy crowd who don\'t have another show to choose between. Their sound would not be contained any longer.
-
extensive touring leads to festivals. Hope the 4 of them..well 6 with Dobs and Ellis, are ready to get back on the road and give the country some more Breakfast and then come right back and hit em again.
I\'m with you and I\'m hungry for some Breakfast right now!!!

AMEN Aruny!!

They cant get into festival slots because of booking/management.
:hscratch: do you think it\'s due to booking/management not having the proper "connections" in the industry, or just lack of promotion/force to push the Breakfast forward?
It\'s ABSOUTELY both. I agree with Vasillios. MadisonHouseBooking is the way to go. That is if they cant get with Monterey. The thing is a proper booking agent should also do PR. Promotion should be in the hands of someone specifically doing marketing. Basically we need someone who BELIEVES in this band and will give ALL their effort to push them forward. But yeah, a manager should have connections and if he/she doesnt, they should be out trying their best to network.
-
they should be ubiquitous at every single new england fest. people should simply assume the breakfast will be playing any and every fest up there.
some other good ones are all good, jerry jam, mag- and spring-fest (if for no other reason than to see spirit of suwanne!! what a venue!!!!), down on the farm, echo project, whatever fest has taken place of smilefest in nc, hell, jump on with hookaville. they have two or three fests a year on their own that still get a sizeable crowd for each... and, of course, BreakFest.

I\'d say a little of both, but then again I know nothing about behind-the-scenes Breakfast management.
i actually talked to their booking agent a while ago becuase i was going to try to book them in buffalo...the guy really didnt sound like he knew much about the band or their touring interests at all

www.madisonhouseinc.com (http://www.madisonhouseinc.com)
This needs to be their booking/management. I\'ll apply for a job there and make the Breakfast my personal responsibility.

Because the jammy has as much pull as those jamband250 polls....

i dont get why TB cant get any slots in festivals...they won a friggin jammy for gods sake

GOTV. Main stage this time.
i really hope that\'s the case if they end up at vibes again this summer...
i don\'t know why the guys haven\'t been able to make the lineup for bonnaroo yet.. it would be such good exposure for them.
as beneficial as it is for them to play festivals in the northeast, they definitely need to tour nationally/get on some festivals in different parts of the country this summer.

re-generation...
that **** is FRESH
-
they need to try and get to moe.down again. Even though they try not to repeat bands, with a whole new lineup, moe. might give them another sat. night slot in the tent.
-
Great news Josh, thanks for the updates. It\'s nice to know that they arent sitting on their laurels!!
-
i know all the above shows are eing worked. Supposedly there is interest froma number of them.
There are a number of buyers who want audio/video of the new formation..
timimg is key and allot falls on the band to get their agents the new material.
-
Great idea Leith...
-
They should try to get scheduled into the Green Apple Fest NYC Location this year.
-
no, i know, i just meant in terms of summer festivals supposedly being solidified. Langerado I know is definetly out of the picture.
-
i didnt!
-
Damn shame, but never say never.....
-
it\'s getting too late for most of the fests except for maybe the late summer/early autumn ones. they tend to have this **** buttoned up months and months in advance.....

Question is what can WE do as fans to get them on these rosters. Cause lets face it, we can write as many emails as we want to and they probably wont amount to much. My question is, does the band want to play these festivals? If so, HOW can we convince booking/management to do their job and get them on these lineups?
It LITERALLY is now or never for this band. So lets put ball busting and colloquialism aside and try to think of some progressive ways of making the addition of the Breakfast to these festivals happen.
