Get This! The studio Mikes > H2 > Weekapaug is a must-hear!
From the Phish Companion:
General: Sometimes circulated as a variation of The White Tape, this was taken from the 1987 sessions that developed into Junta.
Tracks: You Enjoy Myself, Fee, David Bowie, Esther, Golgi Apparatus.
Variations: A rarely duplicated B side includes live recordings, with re-mastering that Mike added in the studio, of "Wilson," "Alumni Blues," "Lizards," "The Sloth," "Mike\'s Song" > "I Am Hydrogen" > "Weekapaug Groove" (in that order). Mike\'s Groove ("Mike\'s Song" > "I Am Hydrogen" > "Weekapaug Groove") is often labeled incorrectly as "Mike\'s Song."
Source info I have:

Copyright 1987 Ernest Anastasio Demo
Source: SBD > Cass/x > CD WAV > CDR
Seeded by Mike Kerfeld and Wayne Lane
Disc One
1. Wilson
2. Alumni Blues >
3. Letter to Jimmy Page >
4. Alumni Blues
5. Lizards
6. The Sloth
7. Mike\'s Song >
8. I Am Hydrogen >
9. Weekapaug Groove
Show date is not correct, actually this was released in June of 1987. It was a demo recording shopped around to Burlington bars, in hopes of scoring gigs. Part of this were proper studio recordings included on Junta (and omitted here) The rest were undated live tracks: Wilson, Alumni Blues, Lizards, The Sloth, and a STUDIO version of Mikes > H2 > Weekapaug, that is a Junta outtake.
Very rare, and very cool.

I have a really old show from 86 on cd. I forget which one though. It might be this. It had a back story of the show was taped but lost to the ages, and then some hippie was cleaning out his car in like 99 and found the cassette unlabled under the seat and realised what it was. I\'d have to look at my discs at home to know though.

Found these juicy nuggets on the web today. These are from the infamous ROTC dance, which the band played under the name Blackwood Convention. Quality is pretty meh, but it shows you an agile Trey at 19.
