Perfect ending to an unbelievable show. I am sooo glad I got into it two years ago and was able to catch up on the seasons i missed. By far, the best writing that tv has seen in years. SO sad to see it end.

Epic.

Quite simply, a show that NEVER disappointed, right through the final scene.

"My name is my name on these streets!" Man, oh man I was wondering where this thread was. Best show ever and rumor has it that the final episode will clock in at about 93 min. and HBO won\'t be showing the final episode a week on early on demand, but making us wait until Sunday, March 9 and showing thereafter on demand.
DAMN IT! I watch it early every week at exactly 12:01 am.
SO now its like i have to wait an extra week...sigh....
I just recently finished catching up on all the seasons on DVD. All in all, its superbly written, true to life on both sides of the coin, Cops and Dealers. On my way home from DC, we actually stopped in Baltimore so we could see it. There\'s only once nice area, near the harbor....rest of it...yeah, not so great.
\'Late Editions\' was a landmark episode of a simply brilliant program.
Obviously, I cannot wait for the finale, which all indications suggest will not be available early On Demand and will in fact air on Sunday, March 9.
Entitled \'30\', the finale is written by show creator David Simon and directed by Clark Johnson, who plays one of my favorite characters, Gus.
I bet a lot of people don\'t realize Clark Johnson has also directed many episodes of FX\'s The Shield. Though i do enjoy The Shield, it can not compare to the writing done on The Wire.

That scene with Michael and Dookie in the car reminded me of Marillion\'s "Misplaced Childhood". Best show ever, hands down. No contest. Marlo 4 Prez!!

Jesus I\'m gonna work them....
SFU was epic, but man, The Wire is ___________________________________
no words to describe its ferocity. This is to Tv as Joyce was to literature.
Dude, McNulty has gone mad. I love it.

Wow, this season is pretty crazy so far. I\'m gonna go ahead and say that this is the best show on TV. Check out this article on The Wire from The New Yorker http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2007/10/22/071022fa_fact_talbot?currentPage=1 (http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2007/10/22/071022fa_fact_talbot?currentPage=1) It\'s really well written and interesting.
