Are Klout, Ellis and myself the only ones who likes Living Daylights?!?

:that: :duck: it\'s definitely at the bottom of my list... a little too dark/heavy for my liking

Have a fun weekend! :stoned:

It\'s currently 55 and blue skies in Syracuse. If anyone is on the fence about going to this my suggestion to you is to get in a car and head this way. You have plenty of time before they take the stage. Hope to see some of you tonight!

If the category is "Songs I Wouldn\'t Mind Never Hearing Again", then yes, I am in fact comparing them.

BUMP!

Who\'s camping out tomorrow night? It\'s going to be in the mid/low 50s by the time they start their set so dress warm...or bring a Nalgene of scotch like me    :gulp:

Set 1
Jam > Puppetry, The World Needs Us > Buquebus, Cut Me Some Slack* > What The Funk *

Set 2
Jam > Tunage > Synergy > Tunage, Episode 3 (Awakening) > MU (Episode 4) > The Grand Scheme Of Things, Living Daylights

* with Sam Kininger
Why would you go and **** up a diesel setlist with "Living Daylights" as the nightcap? They may as well encore with "Closing Time" by Semisonic.

Wow, we\'re never going to live this Closing Time thing down, huh?
It was not my intent, but it was fresh in my mind whilst I was trying to complete the analogy with something ridiculous.

Post by: groovinlumens on May 21, 2008, 09:20:01 am
I have two free ticket to sterling stage. And I am not talking a day pass I am talking a weekend pass. A 75.00 value. Send me your stories, reasons why you can\'t afford it, and any other lame excuses that you can all come up with and I will pick two lucky souls to receive the free ticket!! The best story /reason will win. And if you can convince me that you will be coming with other friends who have not been there before that will increase your chances of winning the tickets.

Send all of your responses to my email groovinlumens@gmail.com The winner will be announced on thurs at high noon so get them in early. The winners will have their names on the guest list at the door so we don\'t have to worry about getting tickets to you. Good luck and can\'t wait to read all of these letters.

Title: Taping of 05\' B\'fast show
Post by: groovinlumens on May 13, 2008, 03:35:06 pm
Yes it is true that i did video the 05\' show. The problem is I have over 1000 tapes of shows that have built up over 15 years of doing lightshows. If i could find the originals I would be more than happy to burn them and pass them around. I have one crappy copy that i burned onto dvd back in 05 but finding the original dat\'s is nearly impossible. Unless someone out there is a freeking genius at cleaning up bad choppy video it might be "the lost episode 05"

I actually had my show this weekend cancel so I will try to get through some tapes and see if i can locate part or all of that 05 show!!! It shouldn\'t be that hard to identify. It is the only B\'fast show at sterling that didn\'t involve Upstate on lights so it will be with my projection lightshow and no beams. That is my only clue to finding it.

Wish me luck. Maybe if i do find it i will offer it to anybody who shows up since all you New Englanders are blowing off Sterling again!!!!!! Slightly dissapointed in the family but I understand it is a holiday weekend. But you all did have 4 monthes notice!!!! Best little venue in the northeast that most people have never been too!! And this year will be the best yet. Upstate and i will be both doing our lightshows for the B\'fast. We are currently building giant screens for each side of the stage for the projection so that Upstate can have his dark center stage area for his beams!!! This one is a serious don\'t miss!!!! I WILL video tape it and make sure not to misplace it!!!

For those of you who do attend please take a few moments to check out another band playing that weekend called Natural Breakdown. Very good, young band with lots of potential.

See ya all there!!!!!

Let me straighten the confusion...

The Breakfast is confirmed to play 2 sets Sat. May 24 at the Sterling Stage Folkfest. Set times will be 8pm - 9:10pm and 10pm - 11:30pm.

We talked about structuring it another way and breaking up the sets but in the end this was easiest. The Sterling Stage is very excited to have The Breakfast back for the 4th straight year and appreciate all of the kind support that all the fans have given through these years. Early Bird tickets are now on sale and day passes will be available depending on available space.

So...we can rule Thursday, 29th out of the question then since the festival starts on a Friday. I\'m there either way though.

I do believe this will be a cool experience. An electric set from 8-10 and an acoustic set from 11:30 to 1 am. I have never seen them acoustic so to get a set of both will be sweet. Hope to see the breakfast fam out in full force. This is the fourth year now and i want to see some more New Englanders there!!!!! You can all hit wormtown on the way home on sunday!!!

not that it\'s up to me, but i would prefer the electric set from 11:30 to 1, if not two electric sets

(or one acoustic set and two electric sets...or four electric sets for that matter)

the less loud they are the longer they can stay on stage. and a kind of Breakfast stylie, chill acoustic set = good times

I have a very good source who will remain anonymous. They are doing two sets. Sterling is hoping to have a killer reggae band play the 10-11:30 set in between them . One of my fav reggae bands. I can\'t say cuz it isn\'t confirmed. Let\'s just say they are another Northeast band.

i\'d love to make it to sterling stage this year. went in \'05 with mcajam/buquebus and the show was **** epic. i still think of that show as having one of the best versions of rufus i\'ve seen.

That is really the only reason we have not attended this festie. If the breakfast are doing 2 sets tho might have to make the trip.
