Title: Sully\'s; Hartford, CT
Post by: Todd on January 12, 2008, 03:41:48 am
I: Jam > Tribal Funk Affliction, Inner Glimpse, Cut My Hair, Doughboy, Scheme
II: Psygn, Beef Barley, World Needs Us*, Rufus, Spunk
Enc.: What So# > Taboo Or Not Taboot
* Matt\'s song. First time played
# Bootsy Collins cover (or so I\'m told, not too sure). First time played

That is from the written setlist. There was a Sex Machine jam somewhere in the encore. Many more notations and teases that I don\'t have, so consider this the rough draft of the  craziness of tonight.

Plus, it\'s the motor, not the blade, so I don\'t know if that can get fixed tonight.

With the band\'s permission, yes.

Gets lots and sell \'em at the merch table.

My old copy is scratched beyond repair. The only song that plays is No Glove, No Love.

Hey, at least they remind me to be safe.

thats the only song you need anyways

You think they\'ll ever go back into the studio and re-record that one?  Alot of bands tend to do that later in their careers... It would be odd to hear some new interpretations on some of their older tunes... espcially with 1/2 of the band being recent additions...

They should definitely sell them (in the least, burn them at home and affix a sticker label).

^^^^ no way

  just one man\'s opinion.  It would feel wrong to me for someone to be playing/singing those songs.  they are so quintessentially Ron Spears.

Make that 2 men\'s opinions. I can probably handle hearing Intension but D5 ? No Way can I hear that song and not hear Ron singing it no matter who is singing it. That song is soo personal it\'s ridiculous and I am amazed a man as private as Ron actually shared that side of himself with us and am forever grateful for that.

what does it mean when a show is asteriked* on the calender (like this one, for example)

It means you put your name on the roll call.

ds673488 Will Be Attending This Show

Simple solution:
Rock the Breakfast Friday in Hartford.
Rock TMV Sat in Providence.

[edit]
New bass player already? That was quick. Any details?

yeah, i\'m not happy about this at all.. likely the first show with the new bass player, or TMV in a rare semi-intimate setting.. ****.
