i think inverting and segwiching songs can sometimes take the ragingness out of it, especially on buquebus and scheme. the end of scheme is not nearly aspowerful if it isn\'t preceeded by the rest of the song imo. HLH ad STL are pretty much always sick inverted tho

Definitely very cool, having the attraction in the middle going into the beginning of puppetry like on the album....I believe it was a poophead idea (?)....
Ya this show was fuckin siiiiiick.... prob only like my 6th show

on 9/23/05 they inverted Taboo, I would check that out if you haven\'t heard it
oooh yeah, revolution hall i remember that... they also opened the night before at the iron horse with a jam> inverted gravity. the iron horse show was so ill i turned it into a last minute two night run. good times.

on 9/23/05 they inverted Taboo, I would check that out if you haven\'t heard it
4/20/06 had some inversions
9/14/06 - inverted Psygn and ATSD
All good stuff.

I\'m glad there are less seguewiches lately, with Matt new on board and all, supposedly still learning the songs or whatever.
I\'d rather hear the whole song from start to finish, and then have a jam flow into another song. Songs like Buquebus and Eppy 2 and Escher\'s Etchings and Puppetry etc etc etc just rage so much harder when you get what you expect is comin\'

It really was just a simple question.
havent you noticed? you never get a simple answer to anything on .info! :bansplit:

I am not saying to change up the bands whole style and do it every set like the biscuits do.
Once in a while with the ill placement, songs, and techniques is assumed.
What the **** dude? What don\'t you understand about my first response? You just said the same thing I did at the end of my first post only you had to go accusing me of hatin\'.
Do you need a reading comprehension course or what?
Not pissed just confused as ****!
-
i would definately like to hear a inverted overexposure some day.
-
inverted **** is sick. as a fan you must enjoy it

your so worried about being "all biscuit like" your hatin on something that could potentially be really sick.
it\'s not about gettin all psyched out on the fact that they did it, it\'s the interesting jams and segues that lead from one song to another. it\'s comes out different when its middle one song->ending other song than it does when it middle one song->start of another or end of one song ->beginning of another.
bah blah but It\'s just another way to mix things up. bfast has a lot of multi part songs too they could really mix it up when matt knows everything and they put some time into writing the lists.
If they can pull off lawnboy without people being haters they can pull off doing crazy set list inversion/dyslexic stuff without the hatin too because it will be too nasty for hatin. If anyone truly doesn\'t want to be a fan because they get jiggy with it, oh well, sucks for them.
No it\'s not hating it\'s being realistic. This band has enough of a problem with people grasping what they do now. As I posted every once in awhile something like this would be sick I understand the potential for sickness.
The Breakfast do what they do well. They come up with interesting segues just fine.
Why ask them to change the basic formula of what has got them here to copy another band\'s way of playing a show?
It does not make sense.
Oh and just because the biscuits make it sound easy it is not and I would rather The Breakfast spend time honing their own style than copying someone else\'s.
Lawn Boy was a one shot you are talking about changing the way the band plays a set.

Please no. They have enough inversion in their songs.
No need to get all biscuit like and develop another problem gaining fans.
I know one of the reasons myself and other people do not give the biscuits more of a chance is you have to really know their repertoire with all the inverted versions, dyslexic versions, and non finished versions of songs they have to really appreciate what\'s going on.
Now if The Breakfast pull this stuff every once in awhile yeah that would be sick.
-
Thanks. I remember the metronome show now.
I would like to see them do it like this more often (biscuits definition)....it\'s all about the sick jams on the segues into the ending of another song without having played the beginning part yet.
for example....
Buquebus(begining-> jam)->Inverted Overexposure(Ending>Begining->jam)->Buquebus(ending)
The transitions and segues and song combos they might come up with could be insane.

prior to rufus has the band ever inverted anything besides STL and wuiac?

On at least one occasion I\'ve heard "inverted" referred to as "dyslexic" if there is no segue to another song in between the two parts. Is this a common term?
I have seen this a bunch, usually on bisco setlists. Inverted would mean they play the order of the parts backwards, while dyslexic means the parts are moved around.

another reason i can\'t wait for Matt to know all these songs inside and out
-
I have been wondering this for a long time:
What does "inverted" mean?
it means they play a song with different parts in a different order than the usual progression of the song. so...lets say you inverted buquebus...maybe youd start with the "eat your breakfast cross the nation" part, then do the intro into the techno part, then jump to the ending guitar solo, or something like that.
its cool how TB does this with their songs.
-
song starts somewhere other than the beginning, goes to the end, back to the beginning.
