absolutely! as soon as news departments became for profit, the end of any unbiased reporting was at hand. and the fact that so many news outlets are owned by so few companies only compounds the issues...
The media oligopoly has definitely morphed into disgrace; increasing tabloid-like, creampuff coverage when there are real stories that aren\'t being followed.

24 hours news is a joke. All of them. News does not need to be reported 24 hours a day. The format lends itself to sensationalism and the stations create stories out of virtual thin air in order to fill their days. They frequently run the same story all day under the banner of "breaking news". How can it be breaking news if it happened 12 hours ago? I refuse to watch.

starts with "i\'ve heard a lot of people say that these could be set by terrorists" at about 1:30 but then they drop the al qaeda bomb at 3:45. apparently now arson = terrorism....
