so...what is the ring like...
i think its modest. i am not a jewelry girl, so it fit me nicely. I have very small hands, so anything large looks awkward.
theres a 1 carat diamond in the middle and two smaller .5 carats on each side. It has a platinum band.

daddy would you like some sausage?
i dont have sausage fingers! I am offended. I pride myself on my ring size of 5 1/2. That was a cropped and zoomed in pictures. i\'ll be happy to show you my hands in person one day.
try Ebay :)
or just have robyn model it at the merch table.
actually, i like that idea...
sweet avatar there skye

I believe while pondering the situation at hand the best option at this point, would be to get a ladder and show up at the window of c.piccirillo\'s thinking pad and present the jewel to him accompined by a pretty poem.
who is this?? cause that was pretty damn funny....
if it only was that easy....anybody got a ladder?

1. Did your ex have it appraised after the purchase? If he did, you should def get a copy of the appraisal.
2. Nobody will give you the appraised value for the ring, you can expect b/w 50 - 60%
3. You should bring it to a jeweler that will allow you to put it on consignment.
he didn\'t have it appraised. Is that something you should normally do? (for future info). I was figuring I wouldn\'t get the full amount it was worth. But i\'ll be happy with whatever. Now, not to sound stupid, what do you mean by "put it on consignment?"
I don\'t know if everyone does it. But some people get rings appraised for insurance purposes.
As long as you know how much the ring was purchased for, you have a good starting point.
Consignment = you display your ring at a jewelry store. you set the price you want to get for the ring. if the ring is sold, they get a %.
-
They sell it for you at their store, and take a percentage of the sale once they get rid of it. As opposed to them buying it from you and then re-selling it.

(tell me I\'m not the only one who knows this commercial)
my friend james just jokingly said that to me on the phone! lol
wow he GAVE it to you...... crazy bastard. i took mine back. safe keeping for when i REALLY need money
a lot of the time if you go to a jeweler they\'ll buy it from you at a reasonable price. just go to a couple local family owned places get a couple prices and go to the best one
I plan on paying for school next semester with the funds from the ring. At least it\'s going to a good cause. I was surprised he didn\'t want it. he said it has bad karma. I sort of agree.
thanks for the advice!

My ex gave me permission to sell my engagement ring. he actually told me to go do it. so now i am trying to figure out where to go. I am definitely NOT going to a pawn shop because i know that will just equal getting ripped off. I didn\'t know if anyone knew locally of jeweler who would buy a diamond ring in the CT/MA/RI area. I\'d be willing to drive if it was a place with a good reputation. Or if anyone had any other ideas.
