Well...very sad to hear...BUT, I\'m happy to see that they are looking into doing it again the following year. I had been afraid that with Barefoot Manner\'s demise, so was the fate for the festival. Great to hear that that will not be the case. I can wait a year. All good things in all good time!

:( it\'s definitely sad to hear that it\'s going to be postponed, but hey, at least it will make a comeback!  I\'m going to check & see if there are any other music festivals that will be going to that campground during \'08 ... bluegrass, perhaps?! or, a perfect location for a BreakFest! Woohoo! :banrock:

Camp Barefoot 3 Announcement
All of us here at Heybro Productions want to wish each one of our friends and family that has joined us over the years a very Happy New Year. We know this is going to be a great year, because we have the honor to announce the engagement of Scott & Jenn, the organizers of Camp Barefoot. They were engaged this past September, and are planning their wedding for late summer 2008 in Las Vegas.

Sadly we also have to announce that Camp Barefoot 3 has been postponed for 2008. Jenn & I reluctantly came to this decision after a lot of thought and concerns. We have just realized that we do not have enough time and energy to plan both Camp Barefoot 3 in July, and then our wedding soon after. We hope that each of you forgive us, and understand our decision. Please do keep in touch for news about other events Heybro Productions will be bringing to you, and for news about the future of Camp Barefoot 3. Once the excitement of our wedding calms, we both intend to starting pulling together Camp Barefoot 3 for the summer of 2009.

Thank you all for your support, and we look forward to seeing you again soon at the Camp!

Much love, Scott McLain & Jenn Bowman

This is sad news :(  I really hope HeyBro continues this festival... it\'s one of the nicest, most secluded spots ever, and the vibe there was great.

I\'m sure they will. maybe this is the start of the first annual BRaqfast. i was talking to someone who knows someone and they where thinking (or maybe i was hoping) the Breakfast picking up a headlining spot on a Friday or Saturday night

They should def consider doing something with Raq, I mean since the Breakfast pretend like the South East doesn\'t exist, and Raq does 2 night NYE runs in Charlotte, and plays to packed houses regularly,  maybe it will give them some much needed exposure.

Just my  2 cents.

Special Announcement

After seven amazing, adventure-filled, mind blowing, memory overloading years, Barefoot Manner will embark on an indefinite period of touring hiatus starting in 2008. After nearly 700 shows, 4 albums, 1 DVD, 5 Mannerlands, 2 Mannerboats, 2 Camp Barefoot Festivals, 6 straight New Year?s Eve Shows, 6 straight Halloween shows, 2 Tour Vans, hundreds of instrument strings and drum sticks, tons of bar food, and a million laughs, the members of Barefoot Manner will spend 2008 and beyond pursuing other artistic endeavors. It is the sincere hope of the band that anyone and everyone who has shared in the musical journey of Barefoot Manner will come out to the final shows of 2007 and celebrate this momentous milestone. Also, the band has just released their latest album, Consonance, which captures the unique sound developed by the group over the years. It will be available on line and at shows for a limited time.

The members of Barefoot Manner, former and present, will never be able to properly express their gratitude to the countless Mannerist friends and family that have shared in this truly special musical journey.
