2 70 minutes sets. Dave will your recording be up tonight ;)

If you are getting there early and want to put a stand in 1 of my seats (if they will let you etc) they are 108, 109, 110 Row D.

Trying to decide between Blumlien and X/Y sub cards. I think it will be a gametime decison tho depending on who is behind us etc. Of course provided they let us tape from our seats.

sounds good, mike. i will be getting there early, so i just may do that. gotta scope it out and see what\'s what. i\'ll find out about the seat-taping when i get there too.

I will be there as close to doors as I can.

now does students ($20 tickets) refer to being a student of this place? is this on a campus?  or can you be a student of any institution and get a discount?

Any student. Just bring your id.

I was just checking out the map (http://www.fairfieldtheatre.org/on_the_town/) on their website. There is an Archie Moore\'s two minutes away and the train station looks even closer.
As of last May, the bartenders at that particular Archie Moore\'s are awesome. And yes, the train station is about ten seconds from Archie\'s.

i definitely paid 25 or 26 bucks for new years going into \'06 along with face and dredmonkey after we soldiered our way through the blizzard to get there.   we might have been the only people there not on the guest list cuz of the snow

This venue is high class and has booked some pretty big names the past several years, including Al DiMeola, Pat Metheny, Jon Anderson of Yes, Stanley Clarke, and Al Kooper. The shows cater to the upper crust of Fairfield County society, and personally it surprises me they booked The Breakfast.  Not saying it\'s a bad thing, a gig is a gig. It just seems way out of their box.  That being said, you guys should be respectful. It\'s a real nice venue with a really nice staff, mostly middle agers. Try to make a good impression so that maybe this can become a regular venue for the band. It would be nice...

everyone should dress up in suits for this show and act like opera-goers.

at set break we can say things to each other like...
"superb over exposure, dont you say, chap?" (in an english accent)
"fine weather we\'re having."
"may i have your finest single malt scotch over ice?" (to the bartender)

kinda like that family guy episode where the english guys take over the drunken clam

That\'s a plan. I am totally going in an evening gown. Long gloves and long cigarette holder will also be used to their maximum potential.

I am entirely serious.

Looks like a few people grabbed seats  right next to me and behind me. Since this morning when I grabbed mine.

i dont want to burst anyones bubble, but i just went on the site and asked for 2 tickets and it have me row A front center seats 108 and 109, so basically front row right in front of matt.  i dont think many are sold, but who cares, at least im buying mine early!

I heard it was over half sold already.

Actually according to the seating chart you are correct.

I just went back to check what was available and clicked on all the segments and there are quite a few seats showing unavailable now.

Looks like a few people grabbed seats  right next to me and behind me. Since this morning when I grabbed mine.

Is anybody else getting advanced tickets? I was just gonna walk up.

I couldn\'t resist picking out the exact seats I wanted.

It didn\'t seem that there were any pre-sales at the time I got mine.

For the band it might look better if there was at least some pre-sales.

Oh, I know, but I would hope they would have just linked to the one that was already there and kept a little bit more quality rather than branding it to themselves. It would be like you finding one of the shows you did a matrix on available as a mp3 at a super high compression. It\'s just depressing that people don\'t care about quality.

This is not the venue they are playing at.

first off, the Breakfast are playing at the Fairfield Theater\'s Stage One in Fairfield, the actual 1400 person theater is in Bridgeport. Not sure how that works but it does. Stage One is about 200-300 people tops. So, we have not to worry about filling up the theater, just need to get heads to drive to Fairfield.

or, what he said. ;)

If you scroll down on the main page (http://www.fairfieldtheatre.org/), you will see a video link to one of the inner glimpse pieces I uploaded to youtube. But the link isn\'t to the one I made, it\'s a copy that they posted. They ripped it down, recompressed it, and reuploaded it just so they could put their own name on the damn thing! It looks like crap now. :banghead:

Discussion last night was that if we could get a decent pull here, its ZEITS SE HWEE Toad\'s Place.

:hscratch:

eeehhh....  177 paid at Toad\'s 10-25, decent pull in a 1,400 theatre?  Not buying it. Sorry. Not even close.

Ok, people held off Toad\'s to hit later stops on run, and it was Thursday.  This is the Friday after Thanksgiving with what I assume will be great press from Burlington, but still...

Believe, there\'s no loyalty to Toad\'s clouding this opinion either. I know they haven\'t always been kind to the Breakfast, but 177 paid brings out in the dick in venues.

What\'s being done to hype this?

What we need to get done is to promote this show in all ways possible. That part of the state can be trouble but we need to get it done somehow.

I talked to the powers that be and the only promotion we are going to have for this show is what we get our of .info, since the promo lists basically for CT are all of .info and not much else.

Ideas?

We\'ve had a few work functions (Sikorsky meetings) at the Klein, and the staff there is super uptight about the place getting ruined. No drinks (soda, juice, ect) were allowed into the theatre. It\'s a beautiful place, but I couldn\'t imagine seeing a show there.

I hope they\'ve either changed thier attitude, or it\'s in the smaller place as mentioned above.

Can someone check this poster and the one for Stone Church? They are coming out very pixelly.

mark - click on the poster. it will open in a new window. in that window, click on the poster again, and it will expand to full size. save that one.

that said, this poster is barebones right now until more details for this show are announced. probably not a good idea to do anything with it just yet. or not.

The Breakfast most likely will be playing the 200 seat theater called Stage One. The picture that Klout posted is the Fairfield Theatre Company @ The Klein Memorial Auditorium in lovely Bridgeport, CT, Derek Trucks will be the first concert on 11/15 there.

So Stage One seems to be the realistic venue, however, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Might this be the first ever Breakfast show with assigned seats?!  Can anyone confirm a Breakfast show that had assigned seats before?  I can\'t think of any.  What about tiered pricing for different sections?  There\'s no way we\'ve had that before.  Prices: $5 balcony, $8 Mezzanine, $12 orchestra hee hee!  And you better have 3 browsers locked and loaded at ticketmaster.com when they go on sale Saturday at 10am!  Oh boy I can\'t wait for the day when I go to my seat and Todd is already in it and the usher comes over, shines his flashlight at Todd, demands to see his ticket, then looks at it and drags Todd up to the balcony.  That\'ll be the **** day, collective broseph.

There\'s definitely a claim to fame waiting for the first person to get kicked out of their seat at a Breakfast show.  I have already claimed the titles of "First person to scalp a Breakfast ticket for profit." and "First person to sell veggie burritos in the lot after a show."  Both achieved the same night at Cafe 9 on 4/30/04.

nat gonna appen!!! ;)

And I think The Palace in New Haven was assigned seats, although they really didn\'t care.

This is two minutes (if that) from Fairfield U. campus.  Too bad everybody will be home for Thanksgiving.

Has there even been a past show in the area to which we can take a guess at the attendance?  Not a even a decent crowd (for a Breakfast show) would make a dent in the capacity of this place.  I hope I\'m wrong... I fear I\'m not.
