Thats because the school doesn\'t make any money off of fresh fruit or produce. If you had simply used the vending machines located all around your school and had the kids each buy a snickers, twix, etc bar and then broken them in half there would have been no problem. Plus you would be contributing to the growing diabetes epidemic in this country, which in turn will pump money into our health care system by causing people to need more medicines and have to go to the doctor more often, which would drive up insurance rates, which would drive down the amount people take home each week post tax while supporting the school by helping to support candy companies, plus you could have shown them how all the money is now gone because they had less to begin with because of higher health costs, shaping them into good little consumers. You could then use it as another way to show them fractions, introducing them to how much that candy bar will cost them at 20% instrest on a credit card if they only pay the mininum balance each month.
It\'s really your own fault robyn, you should have been fired for trying to use fresh fruit. What were you thinking?

:wah: Getting pretty rediculous - this morning, I just taught a math lesson on dividing a solid in half. I used apples ...the principal said I could use them, but couldn\'t have the kids eat them. :wtf2:

F that why should i suffer just because some kid can\'t eat pb&j, Darwinism at it\'s finest. If your that worried about it live in a bubble but don\'t mess with my personal freedom just because of one kid

yea, that kids a jerk. They should just let him die from an allergic reaction so that you have more options at lunch. :sigh:

Oh, and I have tried pj & j on waffles (yes, it was Joe\'s suggestion)... It\'s pretty good.

We always had peanut butter/jelly or peanut butter/fluff in the school cafeteria.
Kids can\'t even play tag on many playgrounds anymore and/or get their names on the honor roll published in the newspaper, because the dumbasses might feel inadequate.

i\'ve heard some weird **** in my day but someone was just telling me they put mustard on their pb&j. now what type of chittlins is that?

at least show them the attached film. vintage Sesame Street, makes me feels like grabbing a blanket, curling up with a box of raisins, some apple juice in a cup with a lid on it and taking a nap until I get woke up for dinner.

I\'ve been doing this for a while now and figured I\'d share it AGAIN...
For the manufacture of a traditional PB & J sandwich, in lieu of bread use waffles!!
ingredients:
2 frozen waffles, Eggo\'s (or store brand works just fine) Peanut Butter Jelly (or Jam)
directions:
Toast waffles to desired crispiness. I like mine not too dark. Spread peanut butter on one, Jelly on other. EAT!!!!
