i like bands that touch upon many different styles/genres of music, improvises like whoa, brings the crowd to extreme climaxes of energy and enthusiasm throughout a show, and leaves me at the end of the night a sweaty mess with **** running down my inner thigh
so the secret of the suspenders is revealed

what is it about these 4 guys that makes people, who like a similar style of music, not like the Breakfast or not go out to see them?
My wife asks that everytime we see the band......."why aren\'t they playing for 20,000. They\'re so much better then the bands that are out there."
oh and the people at a show are pretty cool to.
my wife also says that too. she says, "you can go to a show, dance or just stand there, wear whatever you want, and just be yourself....no one cares" I love that everybody just does their own thing.

I always ask myself (especially during a mind blowing unreal live jam with only 30 people around me watching it).. what is it about these 4 guys that makes people, who like a similar style of music, not like the Breakfast or not go out to see them?
the only answer i have is their name. probably one of the worst choices they ever made, granted they did it in highschool.

They have potential to be the next Phish........ and I want to see if it comes to fruition.

Ron\'s hair
 & shoe dances!
Honestly, though, I hate the band and want to see how much more they will suck every time I see them play. That\'s why I\'m here ;)

I like how Tim smells when he\'s rockin\' hard. Hmmmmmmmmmm Rock God Essence

Not sure what it initially was but I always think to myself that if I could play an instrument and be in a band I would want that band to be the Breakfast.
I know that sounds kind of weird or lame but I find that through the shows I have a very similar tastes to what they are doing on stage and thats what I would want to do if I could.
So there is a familiarity to them that I love as well as them blind siding me on occasion and getting that "Where the hell did that come from" mentality
this post probably only will make sense to me tho.

the music being so diverse..... i listen to many different types of music and some how the Breakfast combines them all into one show. they can go from mellow to intense electronica jam into a hard hitt\'n rock tune to funk and so on.... these guys cover so many realms of music it\'s just awe inspiring how they combine them all. the energy that surrounds a show is incredible as well. to just stand in the middle of the floor and close your eyes during a jam and taking it all in... the lights hitting you in the face, the bass moving you from down deep, drums that snap you back from going just a bit to far, guitar that makes you want to fly around the run and key that float you back to where you stand. I\'ve been to tons of different shows and these guys and maybe 2-3 other band are the only ones to evoke these feelings...... oh and the people at a show are pretty cool to.

I\'m just asking because at the Daniel St. gig I brought a friend. It took about 5minutes for him to be hooked. That happened to me the first time I saw the Breakfast live, it happened to my wife also. She\'s not one to fall all over a band. Usually she could care less...but after about 10 minutes of Breakfast she couldn\'t stop talking about them.
It\'s crazy....it seems to be an immediate response. I think that the LIVE show is the key. The POSITIVE energy they give to the audience is infectious. It\'s beyond just great musicianship....it\'s beyond the notes and songs. To me it\'s the great feeling you get when you hear them live. Very spiritual.

i hate questions that i don\'t know the answer to.....
-
the fuckin crazy ass unconventional wacko sicko jams they busted out at mezzanote.
-
thats really just the way there are different than other bands. which I can\'t remember what that thread includes in detail but I think this is a little different or not.

There\'s been a number of bands throughout history that have made people melt. We all have our favorites. But the question is; What is it about the guys in the Breakfast that makes you come back show after show wanting more?
We all know they\'re incredibly accomplished musicians....(many bands have awesome players) but besides that........ What is it that makes these 4 unique to you?
