Some people have free texting. not me, just saying. If you have free texting you should text this **** all day. I doubt that they really take the time to make sure the votes are from different phones. but who knows:shrug:. 8th place is pretty weak sauce though.

Aww, come on, Wolf. Any vote will get some sort of recognition, especially if Relix is advertising a competition between just those ten bands. The Breakfast, Outformation, Dubconscious, Boombox, Pnuma Trio, Scarecrow Collection, U-Melt, RAQ, The Bridge, & DJ Williams Projekt are up for the count. The best competition (musically speaking, of course) would be DJ Williams, The Bridge, RAQ, and SCC. The Bridge is in the lead, and the Breakfast is in 8th place right now. If you want to change this, start voting. Each band has the same chance of winning a spot on jamcruise, and the boat is currently sold out. Instead of complaining about the band not doing well & not being recognized, do your part! it only costs the price of a text message, and worst case scenario, you\'re out a nickel for a text. Just reply "stop" when you get a text from Relix, and all will be fine.

The annoying texts aren\'t even the #1 issue for me. (Though I NEVER send texts to any of those 5-digit promo numbers. You might as well call 1-900 numbers.)
The real thing for me is that I have no reason to believe any of these polls mean anything. We\'ve been doing these for 5 years and it\'s never resulted in anything. Not even back in the day when Jambase and Bonnaroo weren\'t set up to stop you from voting repeatedly and Pec\'s bots were voting thousands of times per hour and had PB way out in front. (Great times, BTW. rotfl ) Call me jaded, but has any festival that does these polls ever said, "We\'re taking the band that gets the most votes, no questions, and the live scores are posted right here for you to track." Of course they haven\'t. I think at best, the honest promoters use the poll as one of many tools in deciding who to pick. The shadier promoters will just post it to get hits on their website and to keep their fest in the front of the consumer\'s mind, then they\'ll just book whoever they want. And there\'s really nothing wrong with that, they never promised to look at the results. The super shady promoters will use the poll to send you stupid text messages and rack up your cell bill w/o even telling you. (And believe you me, they get a nice cut of those extra text fees.) So really, in the best and rarest case, these polls will be a small factor for some promoter in deciding who to book.
I\'ve held off on this post for years because I like how some fans get rallied up to vote for The Breakfast and I don\'t want to bum them out. But now that it\'s reached the point where these things actually do harm to the fans while still not helping the band, it\'s time to put the smack down.

ooops BY ACCIDENT! I subscribed to some strange thing(trying to get get fun ringtones) and racked up a HUGE bill. I had tons of Jokes a day comming. that werent even funny!LAME!

I get them every once in a while. Its quite annoying. I\'d hate to do that to my parents phone and then hear them **** about what the **** I did to the phone, they don\'t even like my text messages. I still say vote but beware.

just wanted to let everyone know what they are [-]voting[/-] signing themselves up for now that text messages are back in full force. because relix does not tell voters on their website they they will recieve these ads. even in the fine print. let alone how to unsubscribe.
you shouldn\'t be obligated to pay for that **** then and if you are go to your phone service provider and tell them to make them stop or else..... i would consider that a form of harassment!!!!! spam is not a legal means of advertising right and just because it isn\'t a computer doesn\'t mean it isn\'t spam.

i replied with "unsubscribe" at least a dozen times, followed by "leave me the **** alone" and "your mom" and still i get stupid texts from them. . . don\'t vote folks!

im tired of paying for incoming text messages for ads for shitty ass jam bands playing the lions den and the irving. i just wanted to help the breakfast by voting. i dont really give a crap about where amphibian is playing and how i can get 30% off the cover charge.
i say dont vote because its just a scam and wont help the band anyway, especially with them so far behind.
the whole reason they are even having a vote is so they can get your cell phone # on file so they can send you text message ads and get you see crappy jam bands so they can make more money off you.
sometimes they say you also get a free issue of relix if you show up and show the text message at the door, but if i went i would probably just spit on it and throw it back in their faces because the whole thing is full of **** anyway.

Hi All - forgive my absence lately. I haven\'t been posting but I\', always lurking around somewhere.
I know there must be some news up here about the jamcruise voting... I have to say.. The only way PB can\'t win.. is if fans continue NOT to vote..
I am sure many of you have and for those who have.. GREAT JOB.. now go an borrow someone elses phone and vote for them again. Parents, friends, spouses.. strangers(j/k)
