And to think... I almost did something stupid like go to N.Haven. How was that fried mac and cheese Steve?
I will just speak for myself, but the mac and cheese was scrumptious!! I highly recommend that you give that place a try sometime. Very good food. The atmosphere and service were great as well.
Glad you enjoyed the Blah, Blah. I highly enjoyed my first Timmy show. Lots of good people and great refried covers!! Great to meet ya!

I think the bass player had himself worked up over nothing. Papa Mali, is **** nasty. Dirty southern blues, sung by a dreaded Spacey lookin\' fella named MALCOLM WELBOURNE. These boys are from Austin Texas and I would highly recommend buying or Oinkin\' or burnin\' their stuff cause they got a great sound. Bluesy, with a touch of \'Orleans in their for flavor. Every member of that band tore up their instrument.

Awesome show. Blah Blah threw down as usual, and Papa Mali was some seriously good ****. It\'s easy to see how artists can get discouraged with the music scene in CT when nobody comes out to see amazing stuff like this. More please. :)

Awesome night of music last night!!! I thought I might get bored with Papa Mali at some point and venture to Bar. But no frickin\' way!!! Those guys blew me away. And yes, Spacey\'s cousin from the south Malcolm is a wonderful guy.

dave, how come blah blah show\'s don\'t come up as seperate thread\'s every week ala timmy tour, or not even on the schedule ala good time boys or switch up shows?
I can\'t believe I missed this! Please somebody put these on the calendar or give me administrator rights!!
I don\'t get it. You\'re writing in a thread that announces this show. It\'s been out there since Monday. How did you not know about this show again?

I was having a lot of trouble deciding whether to make the trip up to N.Haven last night. I met Steve and his special lady friend at Seven Sea\'s for a drink after work and almost got in my car to head for the Elm City. However, we were standing in front of Daniel St. talking to Ken, when I saw Preston walk around the corner, upright bass in hand. Decision made.

How nasty was the Blah Blah last night you ask? After their set, I walked outside for a breath of fresh air. Standing there was the opening act, Papa Mali http://www.papamali.com/, bass player and drummer. I asked "ya ready to tear things up?" The bass player, a dreaded rastafarian, looks at me with genuine concern in his eye and starts motor mouth rambling at me:
"How are we supposed to follow that Blah Blah. Those boys are some Berkley freaks. They playin all those extra Berkley notes up there...."
The drummer was much calmer, however when Adrian walked outside they both decended on him. The bass player asking where he learned to play the drums like that. Adrians response, classic: "life". What was funny to me: I saw Adrian try to talk to them before the show and they were real stand-offish. But not after. They ran up to him like they were looking for autographs.

Well..as of now Im hoping music doesnt start until after 8pm, if thats when doors open maybe it wont. since I dont know how to use my time wisely and havent left for Milford yet.!:eek:

:thumbsup: great show tonight... I missed hearing the upright bass, but all in all, a great set of music. The show had some absolutely unforgettable jams (that I\'ve already forgotten). I really hope more people go to see the band on Wednesday - it\'s so worth it!!! :awwyeah:

but,how come it seems every Daneil St. experiance Ive had they dont even let you in until about 10pm? maybe you still can?Ill get there on time and sit outside sight seeing for an hour or so.Thats fine now that its summertime.
