will jordan be playing?

Word to the wise: Don\'t miss GOTV.
-
The more tings change the more they stay the same...
-
Leith-Too bad you weren\'t in Jake\'s last night to watch Tim "incognito" tear down the house with hundreds in attendance. Good Things and Yellow Brick to close it out on the in-house baby grand. HA!
ehh I\'m more of a four piece Breakfast fan. Side Projects are nice and all but ......
Lighten up and be grateful for the good times you\'ve had with PB/tB
Perhaps some people take the band too seriously and believe the band owes them something?
Almost everyone in this thread has made good points. I understand the frustration. But if this frustration is keeping you from enjoying the present you need to reconsider.
I haven\'t seen a show since Jan or Feb when I thought they were at a low point in their music. But I\'ve heard some shows lately and it seems like they\'re on fire again... so GOTV is going to be a blast. I will be there roaming around making sure people know The Breakfast is not to be missed.
Yes I still with they were called Psychedelic Breakfast and I wish Jordan was still in the band... these wishes were once a cause for frustration and negativity was creeping in. Take a step back, go check out some other music. The Breakfast will probably still be there when things come back around.
If they are satisfied to be the "next Max Creek" (lol@ everyone who says this) that\'s fine with me. They play better music to small crowds anyway.
I do not just miss Jordan in the band I really miss the instrumentation. Jordan was just the master of the keys at the time. I will always miss his singing but if the band gets a new keyboardist as has been rumored I will be happy other than touring complaints but if they get a new keyboardist (which is all I have ever really wanted for the past year) I will be very patient in awaiting their triumphant return to the west coast as a four piece.
leith,do u understand that you are a horses ass that nobody, myself included gives a flying rats ass what you think?
u dont dig whats goin on,guess what, hit the road.
you=dimeadozen
dont let the door hit u in the ass.
for all the years youve been a "fan/friend"of the band, what have u really done besides talk down and criticize these guys?
theyre doing the best they can.
they are human beings.
u bring nothing but negativity to this board and i speak for the group when i say that, for the most part, nobody gives a **** about whether your alive/dead..
find something to do in sandiego besides sit on this board and bash my friends.
oh yea,i forgot, ill cut you from your grundle to your gullet...
Leith: The Breakfast.info\'s Achilles heel since 2003 ;)
Fixed that for ya. I would never deign to really think I could influence those guys in anyway. Come On.

whoa. freddie\'s avatar basically sums up how i\'m feeling after reading this thread!

Too bad you have no clue of the time and sacrifice they put in behind the scenes to be as good as they are, and to continue to raise the bar as far as what they can accomplish musically. That is what has always been the biggest priority, and if you ask me that is a pretty worthy goal.
All of that "time and sacrifice" means nothing if they do not play out. What good does it do for anyone but themselves to put that much effort into "raising the bar musically" if they do not show what they have accomplished?
Come on now if they want to make music for just themselves then they should just stop playing out and keep "raising the bar musically" incognito.
PUHLEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
**** it, i\'m boycotting breakfast shows until they get the recognition they deserve, start touring more, or change their name. but i will maintain an occasional diet of side projects to offer my support and understanding that lives need to be lived and bills need to be paid.
Now that\'s the spirit!

...educated hypothesis...
rotfl
Oh and why would anyone want to invest $100,000 or any money in a band that does not care to tour? Just flush it down the toilet like they are doing with their talent.
Don\'t twist my statement to meet your psychotic logic
Not at the level of stardom they are capable of = dues not paid. plain and simple.
So there\'s never been a hard working, talented band that didn\'t achieve the level of stardom they deserved? Laughable & Simple
::inserts pic of pathetic asian fellow beng buttraped by the huge dog while a crowd cheers on::
I\'m buying you a drink tonight for that belly laugh!!
you guys are way too harsh on the band, you guys are suppossed to be fans, not critics. when, where, and how often they play is up to them, they do have lives outside of the music. the band needs yur guys support, not pessimism, they are doin the best that they with what they have been dealt. the music biz is tough
I disagree. I think the nay sayers are free to express their opinions. You can\'t take this stuff personal. People are just stating what\'s on their minds. Leith definitely has a talent for pressing buttons and you can see that he enjoys doing it. Years of chemical abuse has sharpened his devil side.

regardless of how many dues anyone THINKS they should have to pay, if they are not getting the credit they deserve they have not paid enough dues and need to keep at it if they really want success. It\'s very possible they don\'t want it bad enough to pay those dues though and never will.

Cool. Really puts the hurt on my python boot......
I don\'t know what that means, but that\'s f\'in funny!! Hope ya don\'t mind, I\'m gonna try to work that into conversation today. I\'ve got a department meeting @ 9.... gonna start there.
ha, cmon guy im bustin your balls, i just think your a bit negative a bit too often.... dont let leith bring you down to his level is all im sayin....
Hey Peaches, thanks for bringing a needed taint humor into this thread. It was really starting to bring me down.
I love the assumptions brought to the table by the nay sayers, like:
1. if they toured more they\'d be bigger. Maybe so, maybe not. Anyone on this board willing to put themselves $100,000 in debt to prove it?
2. the band hasn\'t paid their dues. I\'d love to see ya try to say that to a band member.
It\'s a good conversation, it just makes me cringe because a very small population of this board has walked a mile in this bands shoe\'s. And those that did, stopped after that mile. So all these opinions being shouted from atop this digital soap box are assumptions from afar. Very difficult to be right when that\'s you perspective.
Some assumptions are actually educated hypothesis based on facts not known to the general public.
Too bad all you fans that dog the "tough love" group of fans are so easily pleased.
I have stated before I believe it is the fault of the band that they do not tour as much so yeah I\'ll tell any one of them they have not paid their dues until they have toured for more than 3 weeks at a time in concurrent months. I will continue to challenge the band to live up to expectations they CAN meet. I know they are comfortable with the lives they have now and are very cognizant of losing money "on the road".
They are pussies when it comes to this and they know it. Take this one example some band I can\'t remember their name but 2 nights ago they flew out from Iowa to open for She Wants Revenge. They had no money for a hotel so stayed in the dressing trailer at the venue. I talked awhile with them and though they suck and are musically no way near The Breakfast I am positive that this band will "make it" before The Breakfast will ever make it because they have more dedication to their band and music than The Breakfast has ever shown. As The Breakfast get older they are assuredly turning into the next Max Creek.
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don\'t really think that it\'s a negative/pessimistic POV, it\'s more of a realist POV. I think that the one common thing we share, is that we all want to see this band succeed and we support them however we can. And fans shouldn\'t criticize how other fans show support - you don\'t have to be an super/uber fan going to every show to be a fan.
It\'s all good Peaches. I loves ya. But as the bold quote states, I\'m coming from a realistic POV. There\'s only so much we can do as fans. However, if their closest friends can\'t get it through their heads as to what they need to do, then we\'re about as effective as a fly on a windshield.
-
Thanks slim, tho it is little, I do all I can.

Hey when the band grows balls and actually does something positive to further their career like tour I\'ll be less negative. Until then you will either have to put me on your ignore list or deal with it.

its a doozie that taint smears like yourself weren\'t booted off this board long ago.
....wait a second......
hehehe
-
I think the doozie factor is a big part of it though. If they were selling out 500-1000 person venues in colorado and cali and everywhere in between i think they would be taking a lot more trips out there.
Nail>head.
Those doozies exist/existed because the band failed to invest in half decent management and booking. That and they\'re still attached to the umbilical cord of Connecticut. As Klout said, it\'s their lives, their choices. It\'s just a **** shame that something with such beauty and incredible energy is farting out so slowly, and painfully.
-
haven\'t heard a doozie in a while. must be the lack of shows.

RYDB...good to see you around again! I\'m in the same boat. I don\'t get to as many shows anymore but still love the music. The last time I showed my face Todd called me a "PB ghost" and I relized how much life can change. This is a great bunch of musicians and a great bunch of fans and I hope it lasts for a long time so I can pop in once and a while.
-
klout, i was ready to be mad at you
but most of what you say there is right
i just think some people here need to know how to be critical without being so damn pessimistic
-
this has turned into a real pissing contest.
I have to say though Leith is probably right in the fact that even if they do get a new keyboardist they are not going to go balls to the walls and tour their asses off until they blow up.
It\'s understandable I GUESS. It\'s their lives. If it was me I would go for it though. Whats the point of doing anything if your not going to go for it full steam?
I think the doozie factor is a big part of it though. If they were selling out 500-1000 person venues in colorado and cali and everywhere in between i think they would be taking a lot more trips out there. Of course you can argue that the only way yo get to that point is to keep putting up with the doozies till you are selling out, but you gotta pay your dues which the band doesn\'t seem to want to do, but again its their life. Of course some will say they paid their dues but there is no set definition of what paying your dues is and until you are BLOWING UP for real no turning back you have not paid your dues. either that or you just suck and it aint happenin which isnt the case here obviously.
-
get a room!!
-
i love this band
-
Tough love
Tough love was what I was going to say.
Leith posting against the grain (though I cringe to admit it ;)) can be healthy for the board. His link between touring/success is a perspective, whether it is currently feasible or not. Why the surprise when all posts do not come served with a cherry on top?
Personally, I enjoy a heaping of Breakfast whenever I can get it and hope to be back for another run in the next couple months (though I\'m not sure the next location can top Block Island).
-
Again - people are twisting what I am saying. I started this thread because I was inquiring why there were more Side Project shows than Breakfast shows. It\'s a legitimate question when you think about it. This is the time of year where they can get the most exposure. People are off from work and are more apt to go see live music. I can appreciate how hard it is to gain any ground in this business and in the jam band community - unless you\'re the GD, Phish or any of the large acts, people other than the core community will forget your name unless you\'re out there. The people on this site are the core community and we should be trying to bring in more and more people rather than keep the same familiar faces. Myself, I haven\'t been to a show in ages but if I know someone that likes the style of music, I will try and turn them on to the band. But in order to bring in more fans, they need to be out there. I remember when I used to hang around with the PB, they would play at least 2 shows a week, but sometimes up to 5 and multiple shows a day. But life has a funny way about throwing a wrench into plans. All I was trying to say in my last post is, if they want to keep chugging along at the same pace, then it\'s going to be tough to move ahead. I\'m not being an optimist or pessimist, just a realist. I\'ll leave with this - constructive critism is not a bad thing. If everyone told you that everything you did in life was great, then you would keep doing the same thing, but if someone gave you some constructive critism, you might try and work on that and better yourself. And if it my statement was clear before, read this - I LIKE THE BAND AND THINK THAT THEY ARE GREAT, DO I THINK THAT THEY CAN BE BETTER, YES!
Yoda, I believe the simple is that they can make more money playing local then taking a risk going on the road right now and losing money or playing to empty rooms. They have debts that need to be paid off. That is the simple answer why you see more side project shows than Breakfast shows.
We might not agree on this but this is the closest any of us will know until the band and/or management answers this riddle.
-
Yoda you kind of knew what was going to happen with this thread did you not?
I have tried in earnest to be positive about the direction of the band and have failed miserably due to many reasons but mostly because I am resigned to the fact that the band does not care to make it any larger than they have.
I truly believe that The Breakfast will never be a true national touring band because they do not want to be. Sure they will make occasional trips out to this coast and the midwest but will never be the type of band that actually leaves home for months on end to bring their music to as many people as possible. They never have been and I do not see them changing that drastically in their touring philosophy.
I will continue to be a fan of the band\'s music because they are great but my expectations for this band will never be met and I will have to deal with only actually seeing the band every couple of years. I guess that\'s the one thing I have to regret abt living out here. Well not so much regret really.
-
I\'m not OMC and I was on pbfans.com also under the screen name RYDB. I may not have been around recently, but I\'ve been around.
-
ok, i must have missed it

ill-famous incident? please expand for those of us who were late registers to the pbfans.com
i think enough has been said on the topic. move on.

1) for some reason I think Yoda forgot to switch his screen name to OMC.
2) I miss pbfans.com, much less drama (well except the ill-famous incident)

They had some shows scheduled for Colorado and were trying to get West but either they opted for a better paying gig at Bisco or they didn\'t pan out. So they were trying to get out of the North East.
Those shows will be rescheduled. The gig at Camp Bisco will be HUGE publicity for the band.
Just because they haven\'t been to cali in a while isn\'t that big a deal. They have a hard enough time packing folks in here. So why if they are struggling with money would they risk driving cross country to make little to no money ?
With gas prices the way they are, it would probably cost them three times as much as they may make.
People came down from RI to go to the NYC Boat cruise I heard.
Yeah, Wheel House was their first show.
considering the amount of positive things that have happened in a very short amount of time I think the ship is being righted
:that: I don\'t want to jinx anything, but stuff seems to be coming together! I\'ve seen it before though, so...
-
been staying out of this thread for a while.
as far as touring this summer, they are doing shows in the northeast because that\'s where most of their fans are and where they make the most money. i definitely would have hit up plenty of the shows kindm mentioned, although i am down in orlando for the summer. does anyone see me bitching and complaining about why the breakfast isn\'t touring down the east coast? no, because there is not much i can do about it.
you guys are right, negative threads like these pop up all the time, and i have started a few of them over years so i really shouldnt be saying anything but. oh well. as fans we need to be critical of the band, especially if we think they arent doing more, but in this case yoda you are off base.
-
You don\'t recall a summer with this much good stuff? Dude Summer is a time for them to be touring not jaunting around the same places they play all the time anyway. Yeah great summer for fans of the band in one central area(THE NE) not good for fans located anywhere else. as the start of this thread mentions.
thats funny, i live all the way in Wisconsin, but it was a good Summer Breakfastwise for me. they had the block island run planned early enough that i could fly out there and spend a few days w/ the b\'fam. even got to hit up a TT show at Bar and munch on some ser \'za as well. And its certainly not like i\'m independantly wealthy or anything, just took a little initiative and prioriatizing. **** zerflu lives out by you too, and even he knows how to drop in for a good run every once in a while.
-
As for other comments - this is a forum, right? The forum was created for people to talk, right? If everyone had only positive things to say about the band, it would be the same people, saying the same things, and blowing smoke up Tim, Ron and Adrians ass. I think that the guys are create on stage and off, but in order to grow and succeed they need to expand their circle past their safe zone. Like I\'ve said, if they want to be the biggest band in the world, great, if they want to be the next Max Creek, great, but I think they aspire for great thing and can achieve them.
This is how it\'s been since day one. Tough love=Exile in the Breakfast community.
Props Yoda....

I have been a fan a long time and I don\'t recall a summer with this much good stuff on the menu. So whoever is doing it keep up the good work. It seems to be paying off regardless of some opinions.
It certainly is a step in the right direction and many of the best bookings have been added in the last few weeks
You don\'t recall a summer with this much good stuff? Dude Summer is a time for them to be touring not jaunting around the same places they play all the time anyway. Yeah great summer for fans of the band in one central area(THE NE) not good for fans located anywhere else. as the start of this thread mentions.
Actually considering how this summer began I say it is def. a step in the right direction. They had some shows scheduled for Colorado and were trying to get West but either they opted for a better paying gig at Bisco or they didn\'t pan out. So they were trying to get out of the North East.
Camp barefoot is in Virginia and last time I checked that wasn\'t in the North East.
Considering the band has had management issues etc I think this is pretty good stuff.
Just because they haven\'t been to cali in a while isn\'t that big a deal. They have a hard enough time packing folks in here. So why if they are struggling with money would they risk driving cross country to make little to no money ?
There has been renewed buzz about the band here (ie the I-95 corridor PA, NJ, CT, NY, MA etc) it seems and I think thats great. People came down from RI to go to the NYC Boat cruise I heard. Folks at the Timmy Tour show in Katonah were yapping about it as well.
They have been added to the larger North East Festivals etc etc.
I think it is all positive.
considering the amount of positive things that have happened in a very short amount of time I think the ship is being righted

First of all - Mark - I\'m not writing on behalf of the West Coast. To categorize myself in everyone elses description, I\'m the A-Hole that doesn\'t go to any shows and downloads all the shows and always has something to say. That being said, I know that the band has lives. All I was doing was trying to see why there were few shows during the summer - just trying to get some information, not trying to start a holy war.

It seems like every few months a thread similar to this will pop up on .info. Most of the time it is from people who don\'t live in the northeast and/or from people who don\'t see the band often, if at all, anymore. Sometimes it comes from neither of the two. My point is I don\'t understand why all the negative energy needs to be brought to this board so often. The band is going to do what THEY want to do. If you don\'t like their new approach to concerts, their touring habits, or their song selections deal with it and keep it to yourself. Some of you complain they don\'t tour enough and they need to get out and hit the road for 8-10 weeks at a time. Thanks for sharing! If the band actually cared what you had to complain about then maybe they would.
I don?t see how they can be criticized for not touring. They have played close to 50 shows this year and have only taken off a handful of weekends. To me it seems like instead of traveling every weekend of the summer they want to rest up, enjoy life at home, and get ready for the fall. The festival gigs are solid and should pay huge dividends in the long run. If they enjoy playing in the northeast with occasional trips down south, then so be it. Who are you to judge?
I think everyone needs to stop pretending they are the band\'s manager. If you don\'t have anything good to say about the band then stfu. As a whole, this is one of the most laid back and fun groups but all this negativity has to stop. I know I\'m being hypocritical with my post but I really can\'t stand all the recycling of bad vibes around here. Sorry, but I had to get that off my chest.
-
Excuse me, but you are not the only one who has a life and priorities. These guys have lives, wives, kids on the way etc. If they don\'t want to go through the sacrifice and expense to go play a doozie 3000 miles from home, that is their choice.
-
I\'m not trying to buddy up with anyone - it\'s too late for that, just trying to state a fact.
Chew on this example -
Someone happened to see the Grateful Dead at Woodstock and loved the music but didn\'t get into the scene. That person continued to buy all of the studio release and live release music, listened to the Dead hour religiously every week but never went to another GD show. Does this make them any less of a fan because they didn\'t change their lifestyle and follow the band to every show?
A father introduces his son to Cream and he loves it. Cream reunites but the son doesn\'t shell out the minimum $75 per ticket to see the show but still loves the music. Does this make him any less of a fan of the music?
-
As for the comments above, it may be a lame thread, but for some reason it\'s still active. I must not be the only one who is wondering what is going on with the band; maybe the "uninformed ignorance" is due to a lack of communication from the management or band. The people on the west coast complaining is legitimite. How would you feel if the only choice you had to see a band was wait or fly to the other coast to see them.

dude, buddyin up with leith isnt gonna get you anywhere here..... sorry chip

As I said before - do you have to go to shows to be a fan of the music? Not everyone has the luxury of dropping everything to follow the band for a week or even a weekend. And if you do good for you. I guess the fact that I buy the studio cds and download concerts on archive.org makes me a bad fan.
I used to go to all of the shows when I was in college and right after I graduated. I helped create the NGNL video and helped load/unload band gear on more than one occasion. And as I\'ve said before, I\'m just at a different place in my life now where my wife, family and preparation for my child comes before everything else, whether that be driving to see The Breakfast, going to the movie or even buying the latest cd or dvd. If all of that makes me a bad fan, then so be it.

In any event - if posting on this site asking questions and gaining information that you had previously lacked shows that you have a lack of enjoyment in our lives, then there are a lot of seriously messed up people on this site.

Yeah maybe
you just can\'t win with this bunch.
totally and people should understand that
people bitching, especially ones on the other coast, is really pathetic, selfish and uninformed ignorance. really shows the lack of enjoyment you have in your own lives to criticize a band and the members and then come and pretend your friends or fans at shows. or even worse, not even attempt to go to shows and start lame threads.
WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH crybaby u make me laugh taking umbrage at my posts. It\'s just opinion man chill out.

well if it is true and they are a complete unit again I hope they go at it full on aand tour their asses off instead of being weekend weenies
Yeah not holding my breath on either. I see no reason things would change in Breakfast land even w/ a new keyboardist, just don\'t see it.

my money is still on dunzo tho

what if they have been playing together secretly in an underground lair?
what if they\'ve been doing a boat load of warm up shows under a made up name like:
Melvin Spivey and the Soul Poles
I thought this was absolutely secret and should never be discussed outside of the lair.
That\'s it! He\'s done it now!! :slap:

Now let us assume this is true for the sake of argument. Would it THEN be okay for the lack of breakfast dates seeing as it would make more sense to stay local and allow him to learn the material and whatnot? Just curious if people will have a change of heart about the lack of dates if the above is true. Cos to me, it does make more sense.
if this was true, then absolutly it makes sense not to play many shows for a while and let the band practice together instead of going on the road and sounding sloppy.
p.s. I really hope this is true

This question is one the band or the manager should ask. Email them and find out why. We will sit here all day/week speculating on why this and that are they way they are.
-
Consider this-
I believe certain members of the band make more money off of side projects than off band gigs. It\'s hard to look past the short term when bills are past due.
That said, when I was starting off in my sales career, I worked nights tending bar. I\'d often pass up evening sales appointments for a sure thing dollar at the bar (bills were past due). My manager at the time told me he understood, but that while the bar took care of the present, depending on it ensured it would remain in my future.
I wouldn\'t be where I am today without taking the chance. But it\'s never too late. It took me a while to come around...

There is but I\'ve said to much already.
Side Project are just that and should be treated as such. If they want to commit time to playing covers than let them become a cover band because they would be the best in what they do.
Give me Breakfast or give me death!

They are still a band. we can be positive about that.
this was the 1st weekend that I didn\'t go to a breakfast related show (in the last 5 weeks or so) but I am jonesing for the next fix. Haven\'t felt that way in a long time so for me things "feel" good.
Timmy Tour >Bfast > Timmy Tour w/adrian > Bfast > Timmy Tour.

^^^^ indeed, they are still young and still evolving as a band. the music biz is one tough motha to conquer, but the future is looking good, their playing is the tightest ive heard, possibly new keys player in the works, camp bisco, vibes, i have a feeling things are on the up and up :hump:

Why is it that there are close to a dozen Side Project shows in the month of July and only a handfull of Breakfast shows in that same time period? Shouldn\'t the effort be on the band at this time of year.
This made me think (I should excuse myself though since Im already drinking wine and more than likely dont know what I am talking about)However....Side Projects in my opinion can give the band a huge following!
if you know youve seen an amazing drummer or guitar player or base player, keyboard player, whatever. and you know they play in a band.. having already seen them kicking ass playing their instrument, youd be more inclined to see the band they play in.Instead of just going to see a random band, youve never heard of I think side projects can get people into The Breakfast that normally would never even know about them........but like I said Im posting away and will soon delete this cus I havent the slightest idea what Im rambling about:)
-
I think that this thread might be a bad idea. I just wanted to find out what the deal was, but all I did was create a slew of negative energy by fans towards the state of the band. This thread should be closed.

sad state of events mr. spaceman...
sad, true.

The band cares more about "other things in life" besides the band. The fire isn\'t there, and at this point it seems they\'re waiting for lightning to strike them rich and successful. I just rocked the **** out to "Intension, TLATG>OE" in my livingroom. Doing so I was once again reminded of tB\'s ability to tap into my dopamine receptors, leaving me speechless and ecstatic. I wish for the love of God that they would take their magic seriously and do something with it. Drop the ego\'s, get in the van and work your asses off. Take some heat, deal with bullshit, kiss ass, and leave this barren local music market for greener pastures.
I will always love this band for their abilities to make me "feel". I only hope the towel isn\'t fully thrown in yet. If it is, well, I\'m grateful for everything they\'ve given us, and hope their work attracts more appreciators as the years go by (which I\'m sure they will!!).
-
If I was the band and paying his salary, then I would expect and insist that he do his job. I\'m sure that I\'ll be told by some people to mind my own business, but when money is involved, you always have to make sure that you\'re getting what you pay for. That being said, I don\'t know what their arrangement is. I personally think that they have a lot of potential for success, it just sounds to me like their manager is not helping to grow their success.
-
Yoda when a band hires a Manager that happens to BE in another band can you expect anything more?
As for the Max Creek argument well they kind of already are and it sux for fans of the band that live far away and would actually go to the shows if the band bothered to tour more.
-
Per doctors advise, the band is taking it easy this summer while Timmy takes his med\'s to prepare for his gender reassignment surgery.
:wah: I thought that was a secret!!!

Freddie - I deserve your comment above. But then again, I\'m also in a different place in my life than when I was living in New Haven. But, I don\'t really need to substantiate myself further so, I\'ll leave it at that. I am a fan of the music whether that means I go to all the shows or none.
-
all I\'m saying is that things are on the up, let them play a few festies to decent sized crowds, have them eat it up, spread the w0rd... this thing called "success" takes time my friend.. oh yah and there\'s def. some **** in the works, there always is...
-
you havent showed your face, even when theyve played in your flippin backyard,in YEARS,so stfu..

I\'m not sure if this has come up in a previous thread, but I thought that I\'d pose the question. Why is it that there are close to a dozen Side Project shows in the month of July and only a handfull of Breakfast shows in that same time period? Shouldn\'t the effort be on the band at this time of year. The summer is halfway over and so are the festivals that go along with it. If this is a general taking a break from the road, then, in my opinion, this is not the best time for it. If it\'s a management issue, then axe the current management and take care of it in-house until they can find a suitable replacement. If it\'s a personel issue, make the necessary moves. As I\'ve said before, I\'m not one to talk about going to shows since it\'s been 4 years since my last show, but I do think the band is talented and would like to see them succeed. I would hate to see them end up like Max Creek playing the same dumpy clubs 10 years from now.
