what to do in san diego???
« on: »
i\'m going to be in san diego next week (5th-9th), so i need a few suggestions on things to do.  padres won\'t be in town and i don\'t think we\'re going to the zoo or sea world. i\'d love the input of some san diegans (um, leith) or any of the .infoers who spent some time there (last tour or whenever). thanks!

Depends on what you WANT to do really. Check out the websites for The Belly-Up and Winstons for music. You can go to the casinos, disc golfing is a blast(real golf is even across the st.) the beaches ROCK, you find plenty to do.

i would have loved to have a whole night to roam the OB area. definitely seemed pretty hoppin\' down there at night.

mission beach and pacific beach were cool during the day.

head up mount soledad for some killer views of the city.

balboa park was pretty cool too.

and you\'ve been to BAR enough for me to advise you to definitely go to Basic Pizza.

i think that covers all the bases of what we did.. wish we had more than a day, cause i definitely enjoyed the **** out of it.

Actually they were. He has done a lot for the state in many ways. A lot more than I thought he would. He has done a **** load to **** state programs but what Governor hasn\'t?

This latest campaign to get people to move here is just plain stupid. We do better just taking tourist\'s $$.

if i were you, i\'d hang out at the beaches all day.  ocean beach is pretty sweet. la jolla and carlsbad are beautiful.  maybe you could go pier fishing with the other mexicans.  if you have a car, maybe drive to escondido and go to the stone brewery.  the last few times i went to SD, i went to the zoo, the natural history museum, the aquarium.  oh yeah, tijuana.

There are a million things to do here..a lot has already been covered.  I would also recommend Old Town.  And you can ride the trolley to it.  Definitely go to the beaches and soak up some rays =)
