Best of Luck, Dave. Hope all works out.
I said this then, and I\'ll say again now: Put out your resume either way.
I made the move I was talking about, and some of the offers I received were better than I expected.

I\'m sure you\'ll be fine, Dave - & it\'s great that you have such an optimistic attitude! I\'m going through a similar problem w/ my job... I got a contract "non-renewal" letter, which means they can let me go since I\'m not tenured. So, I\'m working on my resume & I\'ll send it out to other schools in the area (just in case). Hopefully I don\'t lose this job, but if I do, there are PLENTY of other places to go! :stoned: Good luck to ya!
btw, jenx: the letter has nothing to do with the number of "sick" days I\'ve taken!!! :finger:
So wait, you cant survive on the income from .info?
I thought this was your cash cow and you were just working at hyperion to help suppliment your wife\'s insane shoe fetish and to assist in your giant dog\'s food budget.....
Good Luck bro.
If you do end up looking for a new job, I do have some contacts in a couple of companies who value skilled IT and tech folk......
I don\'t know about you all but I plan on retiring on my .info stock.

offer letter received. i have a job.
though i think i may have started thinking too much about what it would be like to have a summer off.. dammit!
down(ish)-side of this is that everyone from my group is no longer salary. hourly now, and eligible for overtime. not sure how i feel about that.
i\'ll have to feel it out for a bit, and see how it looks.. but gun to my head, i don\'t see myself here in a year. i feel like i need to make a move, and that there isn\'t much room to grow here.. we\'ll see.. for now, i have a large burden off of my shoulders, and i\'m happy about that.
Congrats Peck...Glad to hear you are safe and sound for the time being....until they discover all the kiddie
**** and bestiality on your work computer....

Dave i have never really asked you what you do in depth. If you have some database skills and programing etc you could always shoot me a resume. I know we are wanting to bring a few folks in. We could use some database skills etc if your interested let me know or even sort of interested. The office is small only a few people. work from home is possible as well as salary. Not sure what you make now but I don\'t think pay scale would be an issue. The growth would be the only downside in our compnay being that it is small but there is usually plenty of time for other endeavors especially for going back to school etc. side biz etc etc
Oh and congrats on still being employed
Hooray! I\'m glad to hear you will be able to breathe a little easier.
