I agree.

In my opinion, if you don\'t vote, you have no right to complain.

I will vote today, but I really don\'t have any feeling towards any candidate other than the fact that I can\'t stand Hillary (really her husband).  I liked him as a president, I just think that he should back off on the campaign trail and let her run it herself (he\'s not running for office).

I wholeheartedly agree with you, unfortunately most people aren\'t registered with a party, therefore can\'t vote in these primaries.

Go and vote! Celebrate the reason this country is great!

...and Go Obama!

Yeah its kinda cool. I had to change my party affiliation from independant to dem in order to vote for Obama, but I changed right back to independant on my way out. Pretty quick and easy really.

Yeah, i didn\'t think of that.  I\'m a registered republican, so i voted for McCain,  just to vote cause i think these primaries are so important.    But honestly, I really would have rather been registered as a democrat so i could vote for Obama.  i didn\'t realize you could switch so last minute.

During the NH primaries I stated something along the line that any primary after super tuesday doesn\'t really matter. Allow me to remove my foot from my mouth.  This year changes everything.  With the democratic candidates so close, it may be August before we know who will represent that party.  Good to see record turn out, across Connecticut.  It\'s also good to see Democratic voters out numbering Republicans 2 to 1.  All it took is 2 wars and a horrible economy.

Also:

Bush threats veto of spy bill because:

"Without retroactive protections for phone companies and other telecom providers, the letter noted, the companies might be unwilling to help the government track down terror suspects in the future as they were asked to do in the days following the 2001 attacks."

Is that the most ludicrous rationale you\'ve ever heard?  If he followed the law, and got court orders for his wiretaps they\'d have no choice.  But he doesn\'t feel he needs to follow laws, laws are for the "poor, huddled masses".

The other interesting news item from the over night:  Huckabee loses the Oklahoma primary to McCain.  In what seemed to be a lock for Huckabee, the heavy evangelical state decided to back the status quo/pro-war McCain over their bible thumpin\' brother Huckabee.  I guess in Oklahoma, where there\'s a ton of Military Bases/ Companies, war is more important then the word of their savior.  Go figure.

I am going to be in DC/VA this weekend and Obama will be in town. So, I am checking his speaking dates.  I may go see him if possible.   I really enjoyed the speech he gave on tuesday night. I was kind of like that lady crying in the background. (did anyone else see that?)

Just in case anyone is unaware, Ted Kennedy has a brain tumor. Whether you love him or hate him, he has been perhaps the country\'s most influential senator, and has served in the Senate for 46 years. I am no fan of his politics, and I\'m not going to get into Chappaquiddick, but he is known for working very hard for his constituents, and for being available to them for issues both large and small. I am saddened indeed that the Kennedy family has been hit with another calamity.

I am irritated by the lack of respect for his family that so many people are showing. I am sick of hearing the hateful words coming from people regarding Ted\'s political career and personal life. Over the past two days I have even heard many railing Jack and Bobby. How inappropriate. People should try and show some decency and tact, and keep their anger contained when the Kennedy family has been hit with such terrible news.

Joc - I agree with you in the respect that I feel bad for the man and I hope that he recovers from this.  On the other hand, growing up, all I heard was Kennedy this and Kennedy that; basically because he was the first Irish/Catholic President.  I think that what we forget is that this family has all of the money and beautiful possessions and historic tradition because big daddy was a bootlegger and connected to organized crime during prohibition.  It was those connections that got JFK the election and it was those same connections that brought upon the demise for Jack and Bobby, albeit for different reasons.  So, yes, they\'ve lived a glamorous life and have been considered America\'s royal family, but when you take away all of their dirty money, they\'re just like the rest of us.  Again, I hope Ted recovers.
