from multiple people:

"i prefer wednesday to friday because when it\'s wednesday, you\'re two days away from saturday. but on friday you\'re two days away from monday."  this seems idiotic to me. can somebody explain to me how someone could be dreading monday so much that it ruins their friday? is this something that happens after years of working m-f 9-5?

Nope. You work with crazy people.

Wednesday is cool because Friday is 2 days away. Friday is cool because work is now 2 days away.

Unless you work my job, then Friday sucks because I work 8am Saturday.

sounds like someone has a case of the mondays......

but in all seriousness, my ultimate goal is to have a job that whether I\'m working or not, I am still equal parts happy. (I hope that makes sense)

Sure it makes sense.  That\'s everyone\'s dream.  Probably less than 1% of the working world achieves it, but that shouldn\'t stop you from seeking it.

I get a real kick out of the folks that work their ass off to achieve a dream, only to realize that their dreams were misguided.

I just strive for the "not having the thought of driving my car off a bridge on the way to work" type of job.

But yes, Friday is way better than Wednesday.  I have never ever let the thought of Monday on a Friday ruin my weekend.
This isn\'t who it would be if it wasn\'t who it is.

my job wasn\'t so bad. since i had been officially dubbed the "little hippy stoner" i was the only employee who got away with showing up to work blazed, "accidentally" missing shifts, wearing tiedies, and **** up everything in the bar. unfortunately it took me a year of working there to earn enough trust to handle money/custies. a small price to pay in my book.
