earlier today because my horse was being a nincompoop.
I have a decent headache, but would really like to take a nap because I am tired from staying up late and getting up way too early. And I have to be up late tonight and a nap is really the logical thing for me to do.
Taking a nap after a bonk to the head goes against conventional wisdom, I know. But, I WAS wearing a helmet, which I always do when I jump.
So what do you think?
even with a helmet you could have a concussion. If you are concerned enough to post it on the board you may either want to stay awake for a while longer or better yet go get checked out to be sure.
I have done that many times, without the horse (of course, of course).

"We\'re sending help immediately mrs.fletcher!!!"
Dave- what?
Yeah... I\'ll stay up until the headache subsides I guess. I\'m probably fine, but my mom just drilled the idea into me so much as a kid that I worry about it.
Whineberg, you should try it with the horse some time. The best part is when you spit arena dirt out and brush it out of your cuts while hoping that it is really just dirt. That or when the horse runs around and around the ring, refusing to let you catch it while you hobble after helplessly. Good times.
I should have gotten On Star for my horse.
was the horse running/trotting/walking/not moving when you fell?
i dont know much about horses, for the record
We jumped over a jump and he was a bit, um, overly enthusiastic and
**** his back in the air. When he landed he took off bucking and I got launched. Could have probably stayed on had he not overjumped and
**** his back, but such was not the case.
Running = cantering or galloping
got ya...this was an indoor facility i presume?
Yeah. There\'s an outdoor ring, but it\'s under snow and ice obviously. Well, I\'m off to sleepytimeplace.
i hope you didn\'t get poo in your mouth, and that your noggin\' is ok.

An ex of my once got thrown, then the horse stepped on her face. Did some ser damage, she lost part of her vision. I\'m not sure if she ate poo.
aw joc!!!

hope you\'re feeling better this moring!
side note, dave is quoting a denis leary stand up routine about NyQuil. He wants you to take some medicine.
Oh, right, thanks.
My head is fine, though I am sore all over today. It\'s always worse the day after.
I was due for a fall anyhow; I haven\'t had one in over 2 years.
