Author Topic: So I called a group of cops **** idiots... (Read 2773 times)

Last night after running Third World, I was making my way back to the stage and decided to jump a rail to a walk path for working to avoid the crowd. So I show my pass to a security girl and tell her what I am going to do. She says ok and I jump over.

I proceed to walk along and a cop tries to stop me and I show my pass and keep going. Guess he could not read. He grabs me and asks where I\'m going. I point to my pass and wrench my arm from his grasp. He tries to grab me again and I tell him he better keep his hands to himself. Well he tries to again and I just start walking away. So of course there is like 4 cops all of a sudden around me asking the one cop what was going on and all the guy says is he jumped the fence.

So they proceed to start rousting me and I start yelling "look at this I\'m an employee and look what these guys are doing". So the crowd nearby starts yelling and the cops let go. They walk me over to a side of the bleachers and all this time they are yelling and just being stupid. I am continually showing my pass.

I call my boss backstage and he does not answer so I tell the cops "Look I have to get back to work and if you guys would just stop being **** idiots this would be over." So the first cop says "what did you say?" and I say "You heard me" and proceeded to walk away. I hear a cop ask that cop "what did he say?" the first cop says" **** idiots". Well the first cop gets in front of me and I say "what? you going to arrest me for assault? **** you".
So he pulls out his notepad and starts writing and another cop that had been only semi idiotic comes up and says " Come with me" leads me towards the backstage and says "just don\'t jump rails anymore". So I head backstage and yell at my boss that I just got rousted by cops and he asks me to point them out and walk away which I do. He comes back and says" OK just don\'t jump rails anymore because those guys are just like a pack of dogs and just react." I\'m like no ****!

He let me know that he explained once you see the blue ALL ACCESS pass you let that person through and they understood hopefully.

So after all that I headed straight downtown and caught the 2nd set of WSP!

unfortunately with cops if you act like a dick you will be treated like a dick. Even when you are right it is best to hold your tongue. sounds like you got off easy. Your lucky you didn\'t end up arrested or worse, beaten up.

yeah def a good idea to keep polite and reserved...theres nothing a cop hates more than to feel like you are trying to outsmart/outargue/insult him/her.

cops can be serious dicks when they are in uniform or around a bunch of other cops but for the most part (the ones I\'ve hung out with at least) are pretty cools guys. and being nice dosen\'t help all the time some of these guys have a serious power trip problem and no matter what we\'re wrong.

Thanks. When I am working and have the proper credentials I don\'t give a damn who you are, I have a job to do and have been authorized to do it. Let me do it. That\'s why the pass is ALL ACCESS and not SOME ACCESS.
I can totally see how the cops got all butt hurt that I just flashed my pass and blew them off. That\'s how you do it though and these rodeo clowns had no clue how to deal.

A group and I had problems with unreasonable cops at a campground just a few weekends ago. We were drinking and playing a board game (pretty innocent stuff) and they came upon the campsite due to excessive noise. They could have just asked us to be observant of the noise policy and be on their way, but kept hovering around us for like 5 minutes almost as if to provoke an incident. They told a girl to put her cigarette out and told us to disperse and go to bed. I ask them if they are gonna tuck us in for the night since we can\'t seem to be trusted to stay awake any longer, the girl starts arguing with the **** cop as to why she can\'t smoke if it\'s not against the policy, and another guy is challenging another cop a bit and had to be pulled away from them. Totally unreasonable crap.
