Santa Claus can go to hell.

The symbol of Capitalism and Commercialism corrupts this wonderful Holiday Season and is despicable.
The act of imitating the 3 Wise Men giving gifts to Jesus is now linked forever with a creation of advertising shills concerned with selling you **** you do not need and encouraging your children to become materialistic money grubbing slaves to society.
Worrying is like praying for something you don't want.

ah leith...you\'re like a breath of fresh air!  you take the words out of my mouth....any other stupid cliche lines you want to hear?  I totally agree that christmas should be about being with your family and just having a good ol\' time...but commercialism and greed has taken over this holiday my friend.  and quite frankly, because of that, i turn into the grinch this time of year.  I hate christmas...in fact I loathe christmas!  and i was raised roman catholic. there\'s just too much crap to worry about.  we have 30+ people at my house, quite a few are little kids running around and screaming/crying etc.  people get in the way in the kitchen, too much food needs to be made, not enough $$ to buy presents, going out into crappy traffic and overstuffed stores to buy said presents that there isn\'t enough $$ for...yadda yadda yadda.  and every year i plan on getting hammered, but i never do.  so this year, i told my brother he needs to make sure i always have a drink in hand/mouth and that i get sloppy shitty!  that way i won\'t be able to care about or even remember this craptastic holiday!

the best holiday ever is thanksgiving!  it\'s not overly commercialized or about propaganda.  you gather around a ****-ton of food with family and friends and give thanks that you are able to do that.  all holidays should be like turkey-day!
if you need me i\'ll be in the Angry Dome!

Just got back from Christmas mass... I won\'t get into it for the sake of not offending anybody on Christmas Eve, but I definitely remembered why I stopped going to church.

We aren\'t doing gifts at my house this year.  Just getting together with the fam for the day having a meal or two, a drink or two.  That\'s it.  I have one neice (5yrs old) we got her gifts, but that\'s it.  It was/is nice.

That\'s what it\'s all about - looking forward to my first Christmas morning with my daughter being old enough to really react to the presents she\'s got. Just wish it wasn\'t raining, so we could try out her trike! (But then we could be in the grip of a snow storm -hope all of you are keeping safe.)

Well, it\'s Christmas here already, so have a good one guys and gals!

Does not matter. The millions upon millions of Christians have decided this is the day we celebrate our Saviors birth and it is pretty despicable that a religious holiday so important to us has been corrupted in such a way.
It\'s a wonder that other religions have not been pillaged so by corrupt capitalistic ****!

With all due respect, if you live in the UK and still "wish it wasn\'t raining", maybe you should move.

Have a great Christmas. I have grown to love it so much more since my little cousins were born:

Look at the culture we live in....what do you expect? Most people obsess over money, get caught up in consumerism/materialism, over eat, and drink too much, spend money they don\'t have, buy things they don\'t need, 365 days a year. Christmas just kicks everything up a notch or two.  I say enjoy it while it lasts.  Things might not be this good or this easy forever.  If you literally had no money and no family and no food and no beer and no headies and no breakfast shows to look forward to... my guess is you would all be wishing for a good old fashioned American Christmas. I know I would be. I would probably kick and scream like a little **** for a while if I had nothing to give or receive or enjoy with friends and family. Then I\'d pick myself up off the floor and get on with life. So enjoy the good stuff in moderation while it lasts, and try not to get too caught up in it all. Eat that extra cookie, have that extra glass of wine, enjoy that silly piece of electronics and plastic, just don\'t get too attached because sooner or later your going to have to leave it all behind anyway. Have a Merry Christmas Everyone :)
