and i fuckin loved it! i\'m sure a few people on this forum have read it and i\'m curious as to what you thought. i cant decide who to loan this book to first, gavin, or my dad.
I thought this short part pertained to the iraq situation although maybe not directly, but i think our troubles in the middle east come back to isreal and palestine again and again. oh yeah and the
**** who lead our country.
The Middle East
It is absurd that people are dying over such a miserable piece of real estate. Isreal has a right to exist AND the palestinians are entitled to their own state.
The land issue would have been settled long ago if it wern\'t for the religious fanatics on both sides, the misguided efforts of the U.S. Isreal lobby, the weakness and shortsightedness of several U.S. administrations, and our old friends in the weapons business. Guys who live on yachts purchased with the proceeds of bullet sales tend to feel awkward and out-of-place in the unemployment line. This often leads them to ingenious forms of \'product promotion.\' Is it not a slight embaressment that many of these gentlemen are of the American persuasion?
that is in no way the best part of the book, i just wanted to start some discussion. Feel free to discuss any part of the book in this thread. especially the part where zappa tells tour stories about wierd groupies who gave him shitballs in mason jars. :wah:

Thanks for the tip!!! :Goes to store to buy gloves:
It\'s a great read. I only wish Zappa was somehow able to write the part about his own death. I feel like he would have something good to say.
quality book. I like the part about the london symphony orchestra trumpet players and the gas masks. Also, when his dad gave away all of their winter clothes.
I likes when he talks about "the blow job", which applies to almost every guitarist.*
