ok I need all four of your inputs.

Dad\'s car was hit yesterday.  He was not in it.  It was parked and
someone backed into his drivers side door panel.

Question.  The estimate is Over twelve hundred dollars.  the blue book
on
his is Excellent 2335 good 2035 and fair 1675.  Is it worth it to get
fixed.  It is not a bad dent, I mean no scratches, no creasers, the
window still works, so does the mirror and lock, it would just look
like
it is pushed in.  I am debating weather on such an old car, It is going
on 11 years old if it is worth it or pocket the money.  Any advice
would
be appreciated.

That is a personal opinion. If they don\'t mind driving around in a car with a dent, I would pocket the money but if you plan on reselling it in the future it would be worth fixing though you may just want to run the vehicle in the ground. After 10-12 years old, you should consider dropping Comprehensive and Collision because chances are you will not be making a claim or either fixing it yourself and you pocket the premium amount for such cases.

Don\'t worry about selling it later either, donate it and claim as a tax deduction.
