Todd... Of course I saved it...
:hscratch: Are deer ticks those tiny, microscopic ones? If so, how did you see it?

WAIT! Dont you live at TKA? Todd seems very very well educated on this topic, why wouldnt you just ask him?
cuz I\'m actually working today, jenx
Todd\'s got it. i\'ve been biten once maybe twice but have never had the Lyme. I\'m sure you\'ll be fine. do you treat your dog with tick meds. My girl uses Frontline on her puppies and so far so good but that
**** is expensive but its a must cuz we go hiking all the time with the dogs. it\'s kind of gross, i guess the tick dies and falls off after it bites the dog.
I also did hear that giant dog semen is also good to fight lyme infection, the only problem is that it must be taken orally within 4 hours of after pulling the tick off of you....GOOD LUCK Sir Peck!
so.....do we create some sort of gambling pool out of this? I think Peck would want it that way...

But, on a SER note...save the tick in between two pieces of scotch tape just in case. What type of tick was it? Big brown dog tick, medium size with a red back, small needle point size black tick, etc., etc. There are several different types around here. Also, are you sure you got the head out?
Wait three or four days and see if you develop a rash. Round red rings with the bite in the center. As someone who has been bitten over a hundred and fifty times by ticks and had Lyme seven times, I can say...DO NOT freak out. The chances of you contracting Lyme are pretty slim. If you develop a rash within the next week, or feel flu-like within the next two, take the tick to your doctor to get tested and then get on the antibiotics. The unnecessary ingestion of antibiotics will only hurt you in the future.
Edit: Just noticed you did say DEER tick...but, again, there are at least four types of deer ticks. How big was it...color?
A little known thing is that Lyme disease actually comes from mice. A tick needs to feed off of a mouse first and then a deer in order for Lyme to become active in the tick.

I don\'t think it\'s working.

They\'re pretty damn small:

But of course, you can\'t see photos at work anyway!!
man those things give me the chills still... nasty little F@CKERS
Yeah, it really sucks on the days when you find over 100 of them on you by lunch. You spend the rest of the day thinking every little itch is another one. God, I really don\'t miss my job so much now...
My brother in law had lyme.
He passed away a couple years ago.
It was nice knowing ya peck....
j/k
