Does anyone know of a good place to rent out for a party for about 60 people, with a dance floor, that allows food and alcohol? Hoping to find a place in Wallingford, Hamden, Cheshire, Meriden or surrounding areas and would greatly appreciate any suggestions. If you can come up with somewhere good, I just might invite you! :disco:

Well, there was a really cool church, but Mark ruined that one for everyone...

Ha! That is the place I wanted, but I heard they don\'t rent it out anymore.

you should look into VFWs and places like that. i had to look into renting halls for an event up here in boston a few months ago and up here it is about $200-$300 for a few hours and there are bartender deals (ie, use theirs and you pay a $250 deposit, if you drink more than that you get the $250 back at the end of the night). i imagine it\'s cheaper in ct.

The American Legion Hall in North Haven has been cool in the past. Its like right in that little center area on Church St. Last time we rented it, they had no problems with alcohol. A lot of places (like local VFWS) have changed their rules and don\'t like parties that will encourage drinking....Mark had to plan two bachelor parties over the past three years and we found many of them dislike large groups of twenty somethings....

A VERY laid back place is the Polish Club in West Haven. They have this whole outdoor set-up where you can have a big BBQ. There\'s a grill set-up, picnic benches under this awning and etc....

Oh, and one more is the VFW Hall on Indian Neck Road in Branford....

just remembered one more, Elks Lodge in Hamden on School Street. I am pretty sure if i remember correctly they have some sort of bar set-up there....

PNA in downtown Wallingford right near Jake\'s and there is PNA Park right behind McDonalds off rt.5. i\'m sure they would rent to you for pretty cheap and def. don\'t care about drinking
